1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

1. Before I got into BJD-dom, this is the list that I had:
• Do not own more than one
• No size other than MSD
• No boys

Now that I'm in the hobby:

• I now have 6 dolls
• I have 2 tinies
• 3 out of 6 dolls that I own are boys

I sure do can't keep promises. LMAO!

2. I'm pretty new to the hobby, but I had a few rules:
- Iplehouse only
- 60-70cm only
- No limiteds

Now I am planning on getting an Elemental Guardian Claude fullset (if his face fits the bill), and I have been eyeing some Minifees >>

3. I'm pretty new to the hobby, but I had a few rules:
- Iplehouse only
- 60-70cm only
- No limiteds

Now I am planning on getting an Elemental Guardian Claude fullset (if his face fits the bill), and I have been eyeing some Minifees >>

4. Hm, I'm still really new to collecting so I probably haven't had enough time to change my opinions about stuff. But one basic thing is I never thought I'd get a boy, but now I've seen a few boys that I really like the sculpt, and I think one day I'll have at least one boy.. maybe more.. x:

I was also certain that I'd never feel comfortable taking apart the dolls or doing face-ups or anything like that. Now I just sueded my first doll, and am planning on restringing/wiring one in the very near future and I'm not as scared about it as I thought I'd be.

Right now I'm also pretty sure that I won't ever want a sleeping (or half sleeping.. dreaming? is that what it's called?) doll, but that might change one day. And I also think I would never have a floating head, but who knows, that might change too as I get more comfortable with handling the dolls.

5. I thought I would only get SDs, but the first time I held a tiny (SM Beyla) I just couldn't put her down! After that I started looking for a SM Bygg of my own, and now I have both Bygg and Glati and I'm always picking them up and playing with them :) I also have more MSDs than SDs >>

6. Just as I was entering BJD-dom, I set a few ground rules for myself. They were something like this:
*No male dolls (I'm eyeing up a certain MSD male, but am not completely sold)
*No dolls with eyes smaller than fourteen millimeters (I'm in LOVE with Unoa Lusis dolls)
*No SDs (Still holding through on that one, but I have a feeling that'll change)
I'm still new to BJDs, and when I established these rules, I hadn't really begun exploring the wide range of BJDs enough to truly know what I did and didn't like. One thing hasn't changed, though: I still love KDF Cherry dolls.

7. "No bishounens!" I've always told to myself. I never liked "cute" boys to begin with.
Waiting for MSD male doll now =__=

8. I did not want:
A grey skin doll -I just got one!
A yo sd - same doll as above, two for one!

And, I still say SD is too big, but find myself looking at them all the time! I must resist!!*_*

9. I did not want -
A doll smaller than SD size
A girl
Another 70cm doll (besides my first)
Synthetic Wig
More than two or three dolls
A floating head

I now have: 2 MSDs, am saving for a girl, have (and prefer) 2 70cm boys, and all of my guys have synthetic wigs except for 2, and have a total of 6 full dolls, and I have one floating head x)

10. I didn't like msds, so I stopped looking at them, but now I'm planning on two msds. I said max five and that went down the toliet in a few months, I have three dolls, one head and a wishlist twice that size. After my 5 doll limit died, I tried a 5 doll per height limit which mean a similar demise as I have 3 SDs, 1 SD floating head and a wishlist with 3+ SDs on it.

11. manly men.
I much prefer sweet and young looking boys and IRL I can't stand big muscles! but somehow I just really love (and will most definitely buy) IH Dexter and he's super manly and mean looking and I'd say he's at least in his 30s! (he is the opposite of what I usually like in every possible ways!)

girl dolls.
I never thought I could own more than one and even then, I could never find one I liked! but now I have quiet a lot on my wishlist .___.

doll with odd proportions
and here I am with my MD Ryu on a delf body. he is awkwardly bubbleheaded (and his neck is too thing and also a bit too short. I will at least make his neck longer!) but I just can't get rid of him <3

dolls with really small eyes
because it would be such a pain in the ass to put them on AND not lose them!
but I recently started to mod my Ryu (mentionned above) and now he takes 8-10mm eyes (I'm not 100% sure about the size. I just know 12mm is too big) .___. but it makes him look soooo good to have small eyes :D

12. I'd been casually eyeballing BJDs for years before I decided to get one, so I thought my tastes were relatively well established. XD I didn't go in with any set rules, but I did go in with a lot of impressions on how my collection would go:

No male dolls, especially not in SD sizes - I didn't really like the aesthetic of the male dolls I'd seen, so I figured I'd stick with ladies.
- A few months later, I own a Luts SSDF Regen/IoS Mezz hybrid and I just placed an order for an SID Claude.

No anthros
- I've got a Pipos A.Derek & A.Charlotte, IoS Jack & Lora, I have several off-topic anthros ordered or on the wishlist, and I'm seriously considering a Luts Truffle. >_< And if I can wing it, a Pipos R.Derek...

No dolls that look like children - child-like dolls always creeped me out more than anything, something about them really triggered that "Uncanny Valley" feeling.
- Well, they're still not like those realistic baby dolls that still get to me, but I've got a DD-Anne tiny Riko & Cheshire Cat, and ImplDoll Colin all of whom look pretty distinctly child-like, not to mention several other more youthful-looking tinies & MSDs.

No open mouths or visible teeth
Soom Adamelli & Dune are on their way - I'd still like to avoid emphasizing Adamelli's teeth or Dune's open mouth, but they're definitely there. >>;

13. I didn't want:
- No more than one doll
- Only MSD
- No YoSD
- No Volks, so expensive and not so beutiful
- Cristal eyes, very expensive and not so good

Now:
- Now I own 17 dolls
- Only 3 of them are mini size
- I own 2 YoSD...
- Now I own 9 Volks dolls, my favourite brand!
- Now I only want cristal or urethane eyes

Things have changed since then LOL

14. Before I got into BJDs I had a lot of rules.
-Never get a doll that's really expensive (e.g volks).
-No boys...(please don't call me feminist I just didn't see the appeal of a boy over a girl at first)
-No excessive spending.
-Only buying at Christmas.

Now that I'm into the hobby, still new though;
-I'm getting a volks Kun/ Custom DD for Christmas.
-I love the newest SDGr boy that was released. Would really like to own a boy aswell, just for a change.
-I buy wigs, eyes and outfits as often as I can.
-I would say that I spend more than I should. Especially at Christmas when I can afford it more.

15. I originally only bought SD boys in normal skin. I am right at this moment cuddling a MSD girl in white skin on my lap. I have officially been converted.

16. Before: Mature dolls only. No tinies.
---
Now: Added 2 little tinies (Brownie and Secret Doll) to my wishlist. Darn they are so adorable...and portable.

17. I swore I would never get tinies, never sell anyone, no more than four dolls, and only get characters that belonged to one of my stories.

I broke the last one by the first doll I bought, and now nobody belongs to the story I wanted dolls for.
I'm about to sell my first doll, though I still say it will be the only one I'll sell.
By Christmas I will have ten dolls, five of them being tinies. I now just adore tinies, and I'm really afraid my tiny army will grow huuge xD

18. I didn't want tinies at first. But they're somehow found a special place in my heart. ♥
And the idea of their being so portable draws me.
Doing photo shoots with tiny scenes is something I liked doing anyway. My next doll is definitely going to be Yo-SD.

19. When I first started with BJDs I swore I would only buy "demonic" looking dolls. Nothing human. Then I saw DoD Homme Ducan and all my plans were spolied. Now my doll story is based on humans rather then demons.

20. At first I was like,
- No buying expensive outfits. (i.e., Dollheart.)
- No tinies.
- Don't fall in love with super rare dolls! (Wallet: "DUH")
- No anthros.

but then I was like,
- "My LE outfit was just shipped!"
- Saving for a tiny, and tons of Re-ment.
- unoaunoaunoaunoa<3
- Super cute off-topic kitty! I want.
