"Breaking the Mold" or, loving what you thought you wouldn't.

Hehe, this is fun. Let's see....

Spend more than $300 on one... Broke that with a SDC Miko last year. Actually, only two out of five are below that mark.

Buy outfits, I can make them myself... The SDC came with clothes. And can we say Dollheart? (Darn them starting into Unoa size!)

Floating heads... Yeah, that was before the unoa pre-order.

Move on to a new doll before finishing the previous... My habit now seems to be working on all them at the same time.

Buy anything but glass eyes and under $30 a pair... Haven't broken yet, but will soon. I've gotten to fussy about what I want lately.

Get more that 2... no wait, 4 no 7.... you see where this is going.
What can I say, my central girl gets lonely. And there are more characters waiting to say hello to her in person.

I swore that I would never put any sock clothing on my doll. Now she has a black tube top. -_-;;;

Would never take apart my doll: ;^; Had to. Very scary experience, but he got back together. XD
Would never spend over $300 on a single doll: *cough*failed terribly*cough*

There's probably more, but I can't think of it right now. XD

 

1. Just one (the second as a gift and that just did me in).
2. Only MSD (I have more SD'd than MSD's now).
3. Not to spend more a pair of shoes for a doll than for myself (yeah, right).

1. 10 is a good number (I now have 9, 3 heads, and a doll on layaway.)
2. No floating heads (as I said above, I have three)
3. I won't spend more on their clothes than I do mine. (I've done okay with this, actually.)
4. I won't spend over $700 on a doll. (I paid $500 for a HEAD, and the doll I'm paying for is $1700. O_O
5. I'll stick to MSDs (I now have 1 SD, 3 SD heads, 4 MSDs and 5 tinies.... eep.)
6. I won't buy another doll until *insert date*. I've failed this multiple times. xD

That's all I can think of for now, but... I'm sure there's probably more. xD

I wouldn't be one of those people who buys all their dolls....then sells them a couple month later. I only did it the first time because I was going to re-incarnate them into SDs, then I had to sell two of the three because I needed to pay my mom for something....But the character of my first dollie still lives onnnnnnn!

 

1. I said I wouldn't buy more than one.(That ended within a month. I now have four and am saving up for my fifth)
2. That I wouldn't buy any dolls on impulse alone.(my first doll was an impulse buy. It's been fun creating a character to match him. I love him just as much as the dolls I have been researching to buy. :3)
3. I would only stick to larger dolls.(I absolutely LOVE my MNF Shiwoos!)
4. That I'd never spend over $100 on an outfit alone(*looks at outfits* *nervous laugh*)
5. No floating heads allowed(*looks at floating head* *waves*)
6. I said that I would make all of my doll's clothes(...no comment)
7. No dolls over $700(That flew out the window when I bought my DOI boy...and I'll be spending close to $900 on my next doll)
8. I said that I would never attempt to restring a doll(I got bored one day, unstrung my doll, and restrung him. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.)

But now I want their boys sooo bad!

It's...getting a bit crowded here xD; I think I -need- to sell some soon...I'm not bonding with half of them...

We're keeping the cat (surprise xmas present) and that's it! XD

 

I. I said I wasn't interested in any tinies out there...then MW Minoru came out^^

II. I said I wasn't interested in girls...now I have one head who will be a girl and am planning AT LEAST two more girls...

III. I said I will just get seven dolls - the crew of a storyline...well that was before I started to plan the girls...not to mention the cat...

IV. I said I will put back the amount I spent on dolls fully and a bit more before getting the next one...well, I put it back...mostly.

And I just know that this list will get longer and longer XD

 

I'm also down with the volks syndrome haha

1.I have said I'll not own a volks doll but now I think I have about 4-5 on my wishlist. X_x; And is currently saving up for a school a ( more so on his body X_x; )

2. I will not go over more than 7. I have 8 now and more on the way X_x;

3. I will not get any MSD-sized dolls. I am planning to start collecting some soon ;A;

 

Oh gosh, where do I start?

1) I will never get a BJD. I have no need for a doll that expensive. (Hear that wooshing sound? No, it is not my paycheck, not entirely. It is the sound of that "never" flying right out the window and commiting suicide.)
2) I will never buy a girl. (I haven't yet, but the BJDs I am buying now are characters in my story, and once I get Luke, how far behind can Tessa really be?)
3) He will not have clothes more expensive than mine! (Ummm....yeah...)


I think that's it for right now. But I am sure there will be more!

 

1. Not get more than five. Now I plan to have number six, seven, eight, nine, ten...
2. Myself before them. Na-ah! Playing with them every chance I get.
3. Save money and NOT use it on them all the time... As if.
4. Make them clothes instead of buying... ... yeah.

Ordered Rao with a face up because you can customize the face ups AOD does for free, and with college, well what's free time?

it turned out to be two, but they're a set XD

they are not the SAME doll
but they are considered twins XP

i plan on taking them out side, and on campus, but not in public (other than campus XP)

 

Just one I can think of off the top of my head, (and something I'm sure has been posted more than once): buy this many dolls.

Seriously, I think 90% of us in the hobby start out thinking "I just want one."
