1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Burnout while waiting

Mar 6, 2010

    1. I've been waiting for my Volks SDGou Yukinojo since the pre-order for him ended in May. I'm not exactly burnt out, but the waiting has gotten me into a bit of trouble in the way of buying stuff I might not have if I'd been um....distracted by his presence. Then again, he wouldn't have a couple of spiffy new outfits waiting for him, and I might not have given into temptation and gotten my "Hero" the cranky little Yo warrior dude. ;)

    2. I can so relate to "burnout while waiting". I've recently had to wait more than 6 months (three months longer than the initial approximate delivery date) for three different dolls from the same off-topic company, and found I had almost no feelings for the dolls at all when they did finally come. I'm hoping that when I eventually get around to making each of them something special to wear that it will get better.
