Buying a Doll Because of Fetish

Heh. I think that's the ONLY reason I buy a doll - a fetish.

 

I always check the dolls eyes. I don't like big eyes, and I don't like eyes that look innocent and/or nice. I like those smoky, dark and mysterious looking eyes. Their shape cannot be big, but almond shaped. This is one of the reasons why I chose Vito Sharics.
I also love hands that are kind of animalistic (i.e they have clawed fingers and stuff) and clawed feet. I don't mind hooves, but I love clawed feet.

 

I just can't resist manly or bony faces and angry, agressive faces as well.
I need my boys to be imperfect ; quite strange maybe.
Perhaps I find perfection boring xp .....
but you can still modify a cute or beautiful face and totally transform it, that's the challenge !

Oh and I absolutely love sharp and aquiline noses !... I'm obsessed OO

 

I found this thread really interesting. I realized not long ago that (crazy though it is) it only takes about 2 things I really love about a doll for me to be sold on him. There seem to be some things that matter the most to me time and time again.

I like full lips, or expressive lips
I care way too much about stomachs. From the way I over analyze it you would think my boy dolls were all going to be wearing crop-tops.
I prefer small/ naturalistic eyes.
I have never found a nose I was crazy about, but when choosing between evils I am most comfortable with a quasi-realistic pixie nose (like mine when I was younger)
Hands -- not a total deal breaker, but hands I really love can be enough to sell me on a body.
And jaw line. There seems to be a certain sort of shape I most prefer. . . and I find myself (in real life and when buying dolls) looking at very similar faces over and over again because of this.

As far as the way we all want to think of the term "fetish" I think I actually do have a stomach fetish of the naughty kind in real life. And consequently I just absolutely cannot buy a doll with a stomach I dislike. To further prove the point the doll I have admired most over the years has the most beautiful stomach ever to me. . . so there you go!

 

My fetish is the dolls' face. If it is too childish (I mean the doll looks like a hamster is okay, but I don't like tooo hamster-looking faces), or it is too aged ( I mean the doll looks like an 27-36-or more year-old woman or man), I DON'T LIKE IT. I don't know why, but that is a big task for me to find not hamster dolls (especially girls. If the doll is a boy, I have no problem with it, but I can't imagine a hamster or aged-looking doll at home). Of course, I have problems with it in the SD size. If the doll is smaller, I LOVE 'hamsters', they are so cuuuuuute! But agedlooking dolls in SD or taller size... I don't kile them. I don't know why. I like watching pictures about them, but... I don't like them xD

My other fetish... the breasts. Girl breasts. It can be strange (I am also a gilr xD), but I like just the roundish, not so big breasts. My girl has got beautiful breasts, and my future girl will also have!*3* I don't really prefer plain or 'dangling' breasts xD I think it isn't normal, but I think this is very important!

 

Dolls with pale skin, dark hair and dark eyes, with dreaming eyes and a cold but sensual look, with a certain neuroticism somewhere in there. Out of my seven dolls, which of them conform to this type? NONE OF THEM.
I FAIL.

 

I have a thing for incredibly feminine boy dolls. I also adore piercings on dolls to no end haha.

 

I think I have a cat thing going on. I am 57 and have NEVER been without a cat in my life EXCEPT for one 18 hour period from the time my 18 year old cat died until the next day when another cat came into my life and lived for 21 years. I now have 16 rescued cats. They are the unwanted and unadoptable...old, blind, deaf, or with an illness that can't be cured. They live in a special place I had built just for them will all the comfort they need...safe and happy.

My collection of bjds stared with a ResinSoul Lian. Later I added two DollZone boys. But in the past year I have rehomed the guys and concentrated on cat dolls. Starting with an OT Kaye Wiggs Koneko I now have two Pipos Charlottes, a Leekeworld Miyu, an OT Mushroom Peddler Grin, a Soom Kivi, and my grail doll, my beloved IH Luna Tamer. I am awaiting a Dear Mine Blue Rose Priscilla.

I have a couple of more 'normal' dolls such as my OT Kaye Wiggs Lilac Layla elf, Angelheim Luka Wolf, and my only remaining human like boy, a DikaDoll Kung Fu Finn Swordsman. I recently aquired a minimee Neytiri and Jake Sully head too. The RS Lian is going to become Neytiri. Jake will need a body too. Of course, the Na'vi are very cat-like.

I am heavily involved with two cat rescue groups including one that I write a newsletter for. I have often wondered at my almost crazy cat-lady attachment to cats. I don't think it is a "fetish" but it is definitely an obsession that has spilled over into my collecting life. I think maybe I was an abused cat in another life.

Yeah!! I LOVE vampires too but many of the bjds done as vamps just don't appeal to me. I want my vampires to be more like an Anne Rice character...I want them manly, hunky, handsome in a dark way with real bad-ass teeth and not little points on their lips or in a baby goo goo face.. And most definitely not some sparkly elfin creature up a tree.
Or maybe a dark, dangerous female with smoldering green eyes and sharp blood stained fangs. Now combine that with a cat and I am all over it!! LOL

 

Physical characteristics:
full lips; nicely sculpted, detailed, long legs; slender or thin figures, big eyes or dreaming sculpts.

Other:
I like sculpts that have an expression, not a neutral face. I don't like aggressive expression. If a doll (that has some of the physical characteristics listed above) has a sad (atm I can only think of some msdoll sculpts) or happy (as many ninodolls have) expression it's very likely they'll be added to my withlist xD

 

i love ones with fawn legs and animal parts i guess thats my fetish XD

 

Nice collar bones, lovely v lines (groin lines) and belly buttons do it for me.

 

Vampires, cat ears and pouty expressions. Smiles actually put me off a bit, which is weird I know.

I also tend to be really picky about fangs on a vampire doll, too pointy and I don't like it

Elf ears.

Definitely elf ears. It's ridiculous how easy it is for me to fall for them.

ETA: and there are LOTS of definitions of fetish, only one of which is the one people might think of with raised eyebrows. Native American fetishes, for example, are physical items that are beautiful pieces of art carved from stone, in large part.

My fetish isn't as good...I have a fetish with doll shoes. I have so many shoes for my BJDs I had to put them in garbage bags because I can't store them anywhere else...and I still want to buy more shoes from Dollmore and eLuts but I'm trying not to press the 'add to cart' button As for dolls, it depends on the size but I will, most of the time, choose *only* boy dolls with the innocent, cute type faces(big eyes, happy, sad, or mad).
