Buying a Doll Because of Fetish

Cats are cute and glasses are fine but I think I would buy anything that is a "dark" doll. If they have blood, I surely would buy it. >>; No doubt but I am not sure if you could call that a fetish. Just something I giggle and find very good. Though I think I would buy anything that is a mythological creature. I know for sure I want a mermaid.

 

Very yes. Usuallu dolls don't touch my heart unless they represent my characters, but when I see good-looking manly man (like Iplehouse Dexter), charas doesn't matter anymore... Oyaji is a strong fetish ^^

 

I'm typically frustrated by the lack of variety in nose shapes and facial expressions in many dolls, so when I see when that has been specifically sculpted with a big grin or a pout and furrowed brows, I get excited.

 

Since I usually don't like to buy fullsets, for me the features of the sculpt are more important that secondary attributes like hair, glasses etc. So the features that appeal to me a lot in a doll lately (though not really fetishes, because I also have dolls without these features, it is rather just an advantage) are the following three: "romantic", or half-closed, eyes; elf or animal ears; "sensual"-looking mouth or pouty lips.

 

I have a few. Soft faces, sleeping heads, skinny and long, animal parts. And demon dolls! Those are amazing!

 

Funny!! I like dolly feet, myself. Cute, tiny toes and perfect toenails....like the doll has had a pedicure.

Did you know? Fetish can also have a religious meaning. A "fetish" is an inanimate object that fosters magic or spiritual abilities.

For examples.... some indigenous American tribes carve a bird from stone and place what they believe is the spirit or faery energy of a real bird into the stone bird, so that they can carry the stone bird in their pocket. Why?? Because then they can have the help of the wild bird whenever they need it.

I gave this example because it's easiest to explain -- if an American Indian in the 1600's went hunting for food, and he was needing to eat very badly and it was hard to find an animal, he would touch the stone bird in his pocket to gain the eye sight of an eagle, which is far greater than his human eye sight is.

People in Australia, New Zealand, and South America also have a "Fetish" belief that is similar to the one I just explained.

Do people have BJDs for fetishes?? For any reasons that are like the ones I explained???

Does having a doll that has elvish ears make you feel happy and mischievous like a Imp???

Does having a BJD that is a vampire make you feel bold and brave and dangerous???


Can anyone else think of things that could fall under those categories??? And, if so, do you believe that when you buy a doll with a "emotional"/"spiritial" fetish attachment is subconscious ??


(I have a book Fetish. When I am feeling angry, I'm usually always found with a book of children's poetry under my arm. It makes me feel more quiet and happier, less aggressive. If I'm really worried about something, I carry a book with me that's adventurous -- like The Hobbit, or Huck Finn, or Narnia.

Do people do that with their dolls??)

 

Well.....So far I realised that I'm leaning towards scarred-faces...
So far .....The dolls which I listed as grail dolls are all Scarred.......OTL Taking for example,DOD Tanned 02?
Then to Scar Reisner? and a Scar Regen?
That's 3 examples I'm listing.Personally even though I like scars, I have my own preferences...I don't really like a face with scars spreading all over?....
I mean,a not too long,nor short scar that strikes across the eye,or maybe across the nosebridge....or maybe on the cheek and just that one and only.
I fell for that type VERY VERY easily-_-+......

And I like pretty boys too 8D!...but one is enough,I have one pretty boy and I'm satisfied.

I like faces that look like villain ,I mean,you'll say that he's smart,cunning but not totally the bad ass.
Not gangsters I'm referring to, but those witty,brainy guys that you will see in a story!:3

 

Wide hips, narrow chest. I want 'em all. Also, any kind of woman bodies. I don't really like how male bodies look... =.=;;

 

I have a particular fondness for facial scars. Although I don't feel the need to get every scarred doll out there, it definitely adds a huge boost in appeal for me. So far I've got three scarred dolls (although only one has the scar as part of the mold rather than the face-up choice) and plan to get at least one more.

I think I'd put scars on even more of my dolls if I could justify it, though. XD

 

I love pronounced collarbones -drool-, full lips and a pronounced smirk. When I saw the crobidoll r-line body I just had to have it, I didn't care if it couldn't pose at all, I just wanted those collarbones. Also I'm big on hipbones, but with the right blushing most dolls have nice hipbones. Ooo, and I love skeletons and when I saw the junja (I think that's the company) skull head I had to have it. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, but I want it! Also long skeletal fingers (Soom Photon hand may be in my future)

Oh, and also facial scars XD

 

I'm obsessed with the way the knees joints look.

 

While the face is very important I find what has always drawn me to a particular doll is the body sculpt. For example, The unoas have such a gorgeous curvy sculpt that I just had to get one. Bobobie dolls female sculpts to me look rather unrealistic and boxy so I had to rebody two of my bbb girls. Sometimes the way the body looks turns me off to a doll, and I usually only collect female dolls with the exception of my pukis which are kinda genderless.

 

I'm a guy so I'm going to say boobs.

But really? Armor mixed with beautiful dresses, like what Lenneth and Saber have going for them. I love the image of a strong woman ready for battle.

However, full on armor, while realistic and functional, doesn't really do it for me. I feel it takes away from the beauty.

 

I Love love love dolls with a small coy smile and boy dolls with soft features which could easily be mistaken for a girl's features. I also fall for uniforms, any type of uniforms from military to school uniforms or Victorian era suits.

 

Evil look in their eyes, or mischevious, or and type of expressive face. I like my andrygenous boys, and my girly, immature girls

 

Hmm i guess my fetish is male dolls with either closed or dreamy eyes, gosh! i love them so much haha i do love talloned feet aswell

 

Dark looking semi-realistic dolls (meaning not really big in the eyes or anime looking), not really horror, but dolls that look like they are a bit sickly looking with the faceup or they have a tired look. Something about that makes me want them.

IE: Impldoll Antonia, Ringdoll Kay, Dollshe Bernard, DollZone Yue/Chen,

 

that describes Glorydoll lucy to the tee.

 

Breasts. For me, when I'm judging the quality of a female body sculpt it's all about the boobies. I love when they rest naturally against the ribcage. I also have that weird love of monster pokey nips. Ever seen the "Peach Pai" custom bust for dollfie dreams? Look them up. (NSFW) Now those are some nomnom worthy nipples. I loves me some boobies. If I had it my way every girl doll I ever owned would have enormous breasts made of squishy silicone.

Now that I've made myself seem like a creepy old japanese guy, I shall depart.

 

I love girl dolls with tiny little breasts not exactly flat chested, think 13 year old boobs (o_O that made me sound creepy) I think small boobs are soooooo cute~ Doll Leaves has my favorite small bust ever, if anyone is familiar with them. They have the cutest little boobies XD
