1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Buying dolls on credit?

Nov 14, 2008

    1. I don't see anything wrong with buying dolls on credit. It's the same with anything else on credit. You just have to make sure that the monthly payments to pay the doll off are in your budget, and that you are okay with it taking as long as it will to pay the doll off if you just make the minimum payments, or are okay with making larger monthly payments if you want to pay the doll off sooner. If you can't agree to those things, you probably shouldn't be buying things on credit.

Of course, credit is important in our world and you need to build up a good credit history, but for that you just can save up the money, pay for the doll with credit card, and immediately pay it off. Boom, Insta-Credit!

    2. It all depends on the situation.
As for me, I think I could wait for a doll as long as necessary.
Some people, for various reasons, too, can not immediately pay the entire amount, it can be understood.
But ... To be quite honest, I'd rather the accumulation once the required amount and repay it rather than take the opportunity installments)

    3. I have a hard time saving money and I find saving up for it impossible and if I had to would never own more than one doll. The first one was bought with tax return money so I didn't feel guilty. My second one is more of a splurge and unfortunately I had to put him on credit but it was a Xmas gift to myself (most gave me cash this year) and I plan to pay him back promptly. If it wasn't for my ebay card I couldn't be a proud owner of my second boy, life has too many other expenses for that.
