1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Can Honey Delf wig and shoes fit LittleFées?

May 26, 2021

    1. I want to buy stuff at Luts, but I'm not sure if will fit...
Wigs would be 6-7 inches, which is the right size, in theory, but confirmation would be nice!

    2. It should, however you can see if it's a stretch cap first if you are worried.
As long as it isn't under 6" I've found wigs to fit my Littlefee easily (unfortunately a 5-6" one even with stretch did not want to stay put without Velcro), so if you use anything smaller you chance it not working. 7-8" is way too big on a Littlefee too without a good bit of adjusting (they barely even fit minifee unless they have the larger heads I hear).

Shoes wise, it varies. You'll have to check the measurements of the shoes to the foot of a Littlefee, at least in my experience no matter where I have purchased. Some might fit, but others might not. I unfortunately made the mistake of assuming all the sizes were the same for a certain size doll when I started collecting years ago and was confused a few didn't fit properly at all.
Double checking never hurts either, so you're not stuck with a pair of shoes or wigs you might not use.

    3. Thanks a lot! I would have made the same mistake with the shoes had you not warned me.

    4. You are welcome!
Not a problem at all. I know I felt really bad when I spent a certain amount only to find my dolls can't wear them.
I still accidentally do that but usually it's because heels weren't specified (if a doll shoe says heeled feet it doesn't fit flat feet and typically vice versa).

    5. Most dolls in the Yo size range wear a 6-7 wig. Those two dolls have fairly close measurements, but I echo the recommendation for stretch cap wigs if you're going to use a wig from one doll company on the head of a doll from another doll company, as hard cap wigs are often very precise to the doll they're made for. Heck, even within doll companies and sizes, there is often variance.

With shoes, you want to pay attention to the interior measurement. One of the problems is that many shoes in that range are often made to fit Volks YoSD, who have larger feet, so they swim on dolls with smaller feet. You can often make large shoes fit better with socks.

Honey Delf: Head - 6.4 inch Foot - 4 cm
Little Fee: Head - 6.5 inch Foot - 3.8 cm
Volks YoSD: Head - 6.2 inch Foot - 4.3 cm

    6. @clochette, thank you!
How do I know if the wigs have a stretch cap without buying it first? All information I see is in regard to the size and the fiber used for the hair.

    7. Lucky for us, most mass-produced BJD wigs are usually on stretch caps unless it says differently. Every Luts wig I've ever bought has been on a stretch cap, most Monique or Global wigs are stretch, Jpop, Volks, etc. Since those can fit a wider variety of dolls, it's easier to market them to a wider range of collectors because most companies have variations in head sculpts. Generally where you see non-stretch-cap wigs are in the artist-made fur, yarn, or natural fiber wigs (mohair skin wigs, hard-cap wigs where fiber wefts of brushed yarn, mohair, alpaca, soy, or other fibers are glued to a hard cap made to fit the specific doll). Those also tend to be more expensive than a standard stretch-cap wig because they are not mass-produced.
