    1. Holy... YES. YES PLEASE. *_*

I was considering one myself, actually... Well, I was considering making a character of mine into doll form, who happens to also be a pilot (totally different, though). However, he'd end up dressed up as Lockon for sure at least a few times. = )

(So few futuristic/mecha fans in this hobby... :( )

    2. I don’t own a character doll and I’m not planning to get one.
I was thinking about buying a minimee of one of my favorite characters but I’ve decided that I don’t want it and rather have an OC-doll instead.
But I’m planning to make some doll-cosplay in future (^_^).

    3. NEEDS MOAR GUNDAM.

I'm probably a bare minimum year away from getting another doll of any kind, barring winning the lottery. But right now I'm staring at Kiyo -- a character doll in his own right -- and going 'you know...he's got Neil's eyes...hmmmm...cosplay could be go, here'.

I am a shameless, shameless Dylandy fangirl.

    4. Def's does. D= Giant robot > vampire. Can't bite through all that meeeetal~

I considered dressing Mike up as child!Neil. Mike's even got the face-shape and all. Maybe one of these days.... Green eyes and a brown wavy wig wll make its way to my house.

No worries... I'm quite shameless too. Fangirl enough to draw fanart, which I rarely do.

    5. i don't have a character doll get but i am planning to make Gaz from invader zim. i've found everything but two items and i need to customize the outfit when i get it but i think i want to get a doll after a character because i liked the show and gaz was one of my two favorite characters, and i'd like to keep her around since the show was canceled.

    6. I might have a doll that is styled after an actual character, but I doubt I'd ever make an actual character doll. I'll definitely have my dolls cosplay them, but if I'd want a "character" doll then I would've bought an officially made one or a doll that was already made as that character and meant to be only that character, such as "action" figures or fandom statuettes. There's almost no characters that I love so much to spend over half a grand on to recreate, when I could probably get one that's officially/professionally made for no more than around $100 ^^;;

    7. Except, only for Neil :aheartbea Lyle is an exceedingly horrible character, imo, who seriously pales in comparison to his extremely wonderful twin.

I, too, was considering a Neil doll for a while, but I have too many dolls on my wishlist...so maybe I can just have someone cosplay as him occasionally :sweat

    8. was thinking about getting a bobobie ni with lilac skin and making her look like a vampanese. y'know, like from the Cirque Du Freak series? I'm in love with it right now. what I really want is a harkat munds doll, but there's no one similar enough...

    9. Lyle's a dweeb, but my heart is eternally Neil's. Ohyes.

I'm on doll hiatus but I'm already plotting to deck Kiyo out as our dear pilot for a convention next year. I think I may get an orange pingpong ball and make a Haro out of it.

    10. Yes! I actually have a Pipos gray Dali whose character and name are based off of Courage, The Cowardly Dog (one of my FAVORITE cartoons)! I saw the gray Dali and honestly that was the first thing I thought of....'it looks like Courage only in rabbit form!' XD
So my Dali is named Courage and has a lot of the same mannerisms as the cartoon dog. :)

    11. I remember when I voted on this thread so long ago. :XD: I wanted absolutely no character dolls. I didn't like the idea that a character doll would be dictating exactly how their personality would be, what they would wear, how they would act...etc. Now I'm a proud owner of 2 character dolls and I wouldn't trade them or give them away for anything. ^___^

    12. Really? I liked Lyle. He had his good moments. Obviously, I don't like him as much as Neil but I appreciated that they were two people with completely different personalities and that Neil stayed dead, without a revival in the form of an identical twin. (Not that I wanted him dead, but unprecedented character revivals for good characters irk me)

Anyways, if I were to get a doll I'd get an older male doll who would be my original character... But would occasionally pass himself off as an already existing character. I need a reason to sew space suits. :aheartbea

I don't think I'd ALWAYS keep a doll of a character that isn't my own because... My love for the characters of others is different from my love for my own, and it's not entirely compatible with dolls. That's what hoarding official merchandise and fan art is for.

    13. God, I loved Neil. Hated Lyle. Hatehatedhated the Lyle/Anew romance. Blood pressure shot through the roof over the demise of Ali. Sure, he was truly vile, but he was extremely sexy awesome made of win vile who deserved something more awesome than Lyle suddenly not sucking. I was crossing my fingers for some sort of Graham vs Ali mech action - the best pilots in the series against each other would have been AMAZING.

*coughs* But if I am lucky in the upcoming lottery, while I don't think he is going to permanently be him since I do not want to have to work out a Neil doll, if I can get my Michele he is so cosplaying as Tieria. That mean little bitch face is perfect for him. I have the glasses already.

Annnnnnd in other character doll news, I am actually putting together, waiting for the first head to arrive, full blown Lelouch and Suzaku dolls from Code Geass.

    14. I am sort of planning character dolls but not as defined and clear cut as Harry Potter or anything. I was thinking about Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet today and we already have characters from myth and legend either here or in the pipeline.

    15. Oh god, I hated Ali. Got the proper back-alley shot dog death he deserved. No heroic gundam action for him - it seriously couldn't be better. First gundam series with writers thinking a little deeper than just pretty explosions in a while. And it was perfect too - all those years of Lyle convincing himself he's not set on revenge, he was. (There's a certain point where the disgusting overpowers the sexy. I mean, I'm a fangirl of Rau Le Creuset. But Ali? I cackled gleefully when he just got left there.)[/end off-topic]

Actually, I was considering a minimee of a particular character because he had the look on his face that very few dolls have (a really bored, but half-smiling expression), and finding references for him would be easier than drawing my own... Because there honestly aren't too many mature-looking male dolls that are attractive to me. And if that were to happen, I probably wouldn't be able to resist the urge to dress him up as said character, because he happens to be one of my "four". That is to say, the four characters I'm an honest-to-goodness fangirl of, and has been for the past several years. Those are the only I'd ever consider a doll of, ever.

    16. I secretly kind of admire Ali for being so blatantly sure of himself and what he loved to do in a series full of characters with all sorts of BAWWWWW angst problems. Admittedly, he was the cause of a lot of that angst, but I've always found it hard not to like unrepentant bad guys who do their thing because it's what they love to do. And he was an awesome pilot and awesome piloting has not been given the attention it deserves in recent Gundams. The hero always manages to win thanks to magic powers and uneven mech upgrades. I think in the end I just did not believe Lyle was good enough to actually do the deed. :sweat We're so just never going to agree, hehe.

I will blab about Gundam for entirely way too long :doh

    17. Uh, I'm a Grimmjow (Oh, how I wish I could find a doll sculpt that fits him!) fangirl like no other, so it's not that I'm enamoured with the angsty good boys either (though Setsuna made an amazing progression I dare say.) But Ali? He just struck the wrong chord with me right off the bat. I guess it is something that is personal. ^^

Uh, I can talk about Gundam and my other favourite series for hours, so...

Anyways. Like I mentioned, I got four characters that I may consider turning to doll form temporarily: Grimmjow Jaegerjacques, Sakata Gintoki, Rau Le Creuset and Neil Dylandy. Yeah, I have them from four opposite spectrums. Crazy rival, forgiving/optimistic main character, manipulative super villain and a guy who keeps on dwelling on the past. Opposites of one another... And those are the only four. I'm hopefully getting a bigger doll in the future that could maybe fill two of the four spots up there, but... I dunno, like I said my interest in characters differs depending on their creator.

    18. Yes, my girl is based after the character Nel Tu (from Bleach). Someday I hope to make a Renji and a Sebastian (from Kuroshitsuji) as well.

    19. I have a Vega (Bolrog in Japan) Street Fighter doll. All though he is my first doll he is 30cm, and I just got him so his clothing is still being made. I will post him later.

    20. would dolls based on celebrities count?
