Character Dolls (based on fictional or other preexisting characters)

I'm planning on having two.
One is going to be Shilo from Repo! The Genetic Opera and Grave Robber from Repo! The Genetic Opera

 

I will have four, with two more to be based on some characters: Amaterasu in her human form (to be a Spirit Doll Lotus with a large bust), Ninetails in her human (to be a Spirit Doll Freezia), Issun, all from Okami, and Alexandra from Legend of Mana. They are completely separate from the main storyline, just for me to enjoy, since I loved these games so much ^_^ And one day, I want to make outfits based these games.

 

I bought a DZ Hid for my best friend's b-day and turned him into Zexion from Kingdom hearts for her.

Although I can't see myself owning a character doll, I gotta say that transforming Hid into Zexion was a really interesting process and I wouldn't mind doing it again, it was fun.

 

Normally, I'd say no. I don't like non-original characters in RP, and 90% of the time I don't like non-original characters as dolls.

That said, I REALLY want to have a doll based on the Harpoon Star from The Orphan's Tales. Maybe for con next year, that'll be one of their costumes. x3

 

I'm a bit of a sifi nut, so I might have to extent that into my future doll collection.

I would probably have to make a Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who, a Captain Jack and Ianto Jones from Torchwood, Azkadellia from Tinman, or a Hatter from SiFi's Alice/Connor from Primeval.

 

I have two character dolls. Rin Tohsaka DD (Fate / Stay Night) and Yoko DD (Gurren Lagann)

 

I'm seriously considering getting a doll to base on Tamaki from Ouran Host Club. ^_^' I think it would be way fun! So would a Miyavi (J-Rock star) doll...such colorful hair would be fun to find a wig for! X3

I'm getting a Volks Hinata soon...I'm definately planning to have her (at least) cosplay both Sugar (from Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar) and Sumomo (from Chobits). Should be cute! X3

 

I don't even create characters for my non-character dolls... xD

I'm not against having character dolls, but when you're limited to sticking to a certain look with that doll, it takes the fun out of the hobby, I think. ^^;

 

I am planning on making a Leila from Futurama! I just have to get some practice (and some guts!) to do some modding so I can figure out how to make a cyclopse doll, haha! Also, my Dolkot is destined to become my warcraft character, which in a way is a character I made up, but in a very (technical) way still property of Blizzard Entertainment. I'm not sure if that counts, LOL!

 

My whole doll family will be loosely based on the Addams Family. Their names and relation to each other are still the same with a twist. Most will be asian or mixed asian, with a couple latino dolls. I've also created a few new characters to be spouses or friends.

 

My assassin, Mutya, is loosely based on Motoko Kusanagi. XD

 

I did have a doll based off of Momiji from Fruits Basket but wound up having bonding problems. I just can't bond with a doll who isn't my character. Kisten's name is from a book series, but he is not the Kisten from the book. I just liked the name. I will probably eventually change his name, just have to find one that fits him as well. Sometimes when looking for a mold for a particular OC I will think "well he looks like ___ from this anime/manga" and then use that to help me find the right mold. It really has nothing to do with the character, just certain physical characteristics that are similar in my head.

 

I don't have any character dolls... or dolls for that matter O.o I have always wanted one though... and as of recently I found out what the dolls were called so this has been a really big step for me : D

 

I plan on basing a few dolls off of characters from Frank Herbert's 'Dune' novels, but I'd love to do the ENTIRE Sohma family from Furuba/Fruits Basket! I'd settle for just a Kyo Sohma though!

 

I'm planning a Ciel Phantomhive doll Faaar far away plan though...

 

Well...I was planning on painting a head to resemble a fox-type creature but he has since turned into Louis of Anne Rice books, he has the perfect structure! Oh well!

 

i wanna do my vampire boys who i adore, justneed the money now! XD

 

Weeeell, my pukipuki Kakashi, Rock Lee and Gaara are already home, and I'm waiting for my AOD Lele to be Hidan, but aside from those.....well....

Yes, THAT Gai-sensei. Green spandex, thick eyebrows, shiny bowlcut and all. *is probably the only person in the world who'd ever WANT that doll XD*

 

...oh my ever-loving god. I will LOVE YOU FOREVER if this comes to pass. Oh my god. Gai-sensei in BJD form? With a thumbs-up hand? And possibly modded shiny teeth? So. Much. Epic. Insane. WIN.
