1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I don't have any plans to myself. Cosplays are neat, and I might do one on a doll I already have for someone else, but I wouldn't buy a doll specifically to make into a character that I didn't make myself. I do think it's REALLY cool when someone does it though, especially when the pull it off really well.

    2. I plan to make the toddler version of Rapunzel. I cant help but love this movie.... ;]

    3. Mmmmm... I don't have any plans.
Never even thought of it even though one of my dolls is a DiM MnM.
It's just too fun discovering who they are and how they fit into my other doll's existing worlds!

    4. I currently have, and have sold on layaway, a doll I wanted to be Hatake Kakashi from Naruto. I still would like to have one, but the doll I chose is a little too big so I will reshell him in something smaller some day.
And I have plans to make a Castiel doll from Supernatural. ^_^

    5. I have many characters in my mind..but my top Priority is Sebastian Michaelis (Kuroshitsuji) and Sarutobi Sasuke (sengoku basara)..

    6. I don't know that would ever buy a doll specifically to be a character that is not my own, but I have no problem dressing my girls up as 'cosplay' or whatnot :)

    7. Gabbie, I love that movie, too! Tangled is awesome. I have a person-sized Rapunzel (brown hair version) costume that I made and wore to A-Kon, and my 70 cm Yuu is going to be Flynn Rider. I have made his belt, pants, and shirt. I am halfway done with his vest, and am working on his boots. He might not be that character forever, but when I finish it, he will certainly wear it a lot! And I will have to take lots of pictures. :)

    8. I don't own any character dolls yet but I am interested in buying the Rozen Maidens and the Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) dolls.

    9. I always try to come up with a character for Kira, and I have somewhat of a base (name, age, little background) although unless I start writing stories (which I want to), that's about as far as it gets.

What I start doing is throwing my own personality into the mix; after I realize what I'm doing, I recognize the fact that I'm terrible at making things up. lol

    10. Now that I've been in the hobby for a few months, there really is no character that I want to make into doll form. At first, I had thought that it was a semi-possibility, but now I really don't want to.

    11. I have characters in mind for the dolls I want, but the great thing about these dolls is that if I lose interest in the character, a change of wig, eyes and clothes allows me to "remake" the doll into a new character!

    12. I have two character dolls, it was fun making them and it is fun putting them into movie scenes and finding props for them!

    13. Yes, I actually love that dolls are customizable to the person's taste because it means that even if you make the doll into a character you made up yourself you still have to make it your own because no bid comes as the famous character you want as a doll. :3

As for myself and my plans... I want to make some characters from the Uglies book series. I want to make Tally, David, Shea and Zane for sure and maybe a few others xD. And a Doctor Who doll would be like super amazing... Haha. And their character from the book/show would be the base for their character but as they are with me their characters will probably change a little bit. :]

    14. I really want to have a character doll of a hero I've been in love with for some years but since all of my other dolls are originals, I fear he wouldnt *blend* well with the others... I think that's one big part why it is still a project right now...

    15. My Ashanti is currently Piper from Storm Hawks

    16. My doll is planned to be Deidara. xD He's definitely never going to change from that either because it's the biggest reason why I want the doll. I also have never seen a Deidara bjd that isn't all girly (I mean, why that's insulting some of the things the character stands for) so I'm using one of the more realistic and masculine molds. I mean, I understand that most male molds look girly anyway, and that most people in this hobby don't mind, but it annoys me when fans make Deidara out to be girly looking, especially since the only thing that might have made you think he was a girl would be his long hair. And a LOT of male anime characters have long hair.

    17. currently i am trying to gather wigs eyes money etc. to create two character dolls. the one is Martin Rolinski from "bodies without organs", and the other one is Eric Saade, swedish electropop artist. But it seems impossible to find usable wigs, so it feels like a huge job. the dolls to use are found though, just need to get the last money together. I'm also considering to purchase a custom face-up for these two dolls to make them absolutely perfect, as i'm still on the learning path what face-ups are concerned.

    18. Death the Kid and Edward Elric are big brothers to our "original characters" Halo and Sakura.

They're character dolls but that doesn't stop us from doing whatever we want with them. Right now Kiddo is wearing cargo pants and holding a goat. The cargo pants are, however, symmetrical.

    19. One of my dolls is Raoul Am from Rieko Yoshihara's "Ai no Kusabi" novel. Sorry for not posting photos but his cosplay is not nearly ready... Maybe I'll post him later.
