Character Dolls (based on fictional or other preexisting characters)

I have a mix of original character dolls, "inspiration" dolls (dolls that are inspired by certain people/character but with my own original story or personality), and dolls that I call my "cosplay" dolls. Currently, I have plans for L and Near of Death Note. I agree it might be "limiting" in creativity as some call it, but I have them just for the pure reason that I like these characters. If I want to be creative and develop the story, personality, style etc for the dolls, I have the other dolls for that. >w<

 

I plan on getting a kid sesshomaru from inuyasha one day! and kid versions of Arwen and Aragorn from LOTR! And a kid version of Obi-Wan Kenobi!

...I actually have a lot of plans for character dolls, but I wish to finish my collection of characters from my novel first XD;

 

I'm actually saving up to create BJD Versions of Fred and George Weasley from the Harry Potter series. The only thing is that they are kinda like an AU version of them. Fred isn't dead and George still has his ear but they "read" my Harry Potter books and know what happens to their characters. I don't know if I'm explaining them correctly..... Buying things double is hard though, at the moment I just have their heads. Next is eyes and wigs, followed by clothes (getting their Hogwarts uniforms) and finally bodies.

 

One of the reasons why I bought my doll is simply because there *isn't* a good figure of the character. That, and the character means a lot to me.

I love seeing character dolls as long as they remain true to the character.

 

All my dolls are my own characters that I created especially for doing a continuous dollie photo & written story about cosplayers... so there will be cosplaying of ALL my fav anime characters, as well as fictional characters etc etc etc Best of all worlds in my mind.
I am a cosplayer/reenactor - and a writer. & a seamstress... Works big time for me.

 

I'd love to see the Moridin doll!

As for me I do have a DiM MnM head of Thane Krios from Mass Effect 2 but I plan on him just being a 'display' doll, you know what I mean? lol I also have a Alistair (Dragon Age) MnM head coming in but I do not plan on making him him, if that makes sense. lol I plan on having the head as another character (an OC) just with Alistair's face structure.

 

I have always really wanted to either take a doll and mod it, or just make my own doll completely and create the human form of Shiva. Probably as an ascetic.
Not sure if that counts as a character doll. I am not Hindu and I am not sure if this would offend anyone who was. But if it does I am sorry!

 

Sometime ago I desired to make Ulquiorra (Espada n.º 4 from Bleach) in resin, and I even had the mold chosen and everything. But finally I've dropped the idea; I've discovered that working in my own characters is much more funny! ^__^

 

I have one character dollie Her name is Menari and she is a Na'vi based off the movie Avatar. ( NOT the last air bender)

I bought my first doll because he looked like Toushiro Hitsugaya from Bleach. I haven't made his clothes or wig yet, but I will some day.

 

I always want a Avril Lavigne as she's so pretty,but as i know so far,we dont have any but i saw some doll "cosplay" though and they look amazing!i would like my doll do some cos too~~

 

Honestly, the perfect doll of my dreams will be one that I've modified to look like a character in a story I'm writing. I've seen dolls that almost look like that character, but never exact.

So I guess it's an OC character, unless my story gets published!

 

Nope, I don't like to support other artist work with my work . I'm an art student, so it goes against my principles, and I have too much imagination to just adjust a doll for a character that does not belongs to me.

I know very well my OC's, so that way I have the total control on my stories and it turn more interesting everything * v *

 

Well, I tried to get Isaak MNM head from Trinity Blood going but never got enough to get it ordered.

But I would totally buy a character doll if someone made one I really wanted and it was resin. That's what I don't like about DD, they're vinyl.

But I would LOVE dolls from Aria The Natural and Trinity Blood in particular. I loved the character designs in Red Garden too, I would LOVE dolls that looked like the main girls.

 

Both the Dollfie Dream I currently have (Beatrice) and the one on order (Saber Extra) are character dolls, and will stay as the character they're based on.

 

I tried making character dolls with off topic dolls in the past to no avail, so I have a feeling they just aren't for me. That being said, I've currently plotted out a ridiculous amount of cosplay outfits for my upcoming tiny.

 

I am planning to make my Luts Delf Soony into Alice in Wonderland to fit into a collection of other Alice in Wonderland dolls I am collecting at the moment. However I guess it is more of a cosplay because she is still going to be Dima playing dress ups

 

i will make two character dolls at least!

first, fye d. flourite from tsubasa chronicles. i choose soom north for it, because i saw the picture and can't avoid the thought of fye :3
even he based on the clamp character, i think i'll feel the same for him as for my own character creations he'll be mine and only mine~ hehe (a friend of mine take the kurogane for him ;3)

second, i don't know if this count but i always love friedrich the great from prussia, so i'll make the kid version of him &#9829; i'm a freak and know almost everything about him!!!

 

I don't want that my dolls are some characters from manga, anime or movies, because I like to create my own ones, so each of these dolls aren't any character from any, novel, manga, anime, movie, they are orginal chracters which are created by me
