Character Dolls (based on fictional or other preexisting characters)

Pffft. I have too many OCs. I don't intend on having any character dolls.
Well, there is Loki from The Avengers and Thor... Hm...

 

if i have the money i want to create a yosd mihashi ren from oofuri! he's my favorite character from my favorite anime~
other than him i have no plans for a non-oc doll

 

I kind of want to turn a Resinsoul Jun into a Gamzee (from Homestuck), but I'm not really sure if I'll end up doing it.

 

Someday I hope to make the pink-haired idol character from Guilty Crown.

 

I would be more likely to have my dolls cosplay as characters made by others rather than actually having one specifically to look/be that character. An important appeal to these dolls for me is the customizablility and I'd have a hard time sticking with someone else's character, but then again I prefer making my own so that'd probably be why. Even in games I dislike having a premade character idea by someone else because it seriously limits what you can do without making them out of character.

Nothing against character doll's, but it'd drive me nuts doing it myself and there's little chance I'd stick to it even if I really like the character. When it's someone else's character I can be too nit picky about keeping them in character, meanwhile with my own I'm similar still but not as extensively. I do however enjoy finding pictures of dolls that look like characters I like/know from an anime or some media almost as much as original characters. It's fun seeing what others can come up with and how accurate such character dolls can be.

 

i plan to make a doll based after aizen from bleach as my next doll, looks most of all. personally things may change and outfits will be of my choosing, he will probally only wear any bleach outfits at conventions to be honest.

i don't see anything wrong with it, i have lots of OC's but i just really want this one non oc doll.

 

I'm dying to have Yuki and Kaname from Vampire Knight as dolls. Yuki being MSD and Kaname being SD...I even have idea's of what dolls might work/hybrid options.

Yuki may wind up an Obitsu 50 cm with resin head. and Kaname a Bobobie Apollo as that sculpt to me just screams Vampire Boy.

But that's far in the future....

 

Someday I might want to make an Iplehouse doll into Felurian from The Wise Man's Fear with a long black wig and purple make up and blushing....
This will happen. But not for a long time, since well... how fun is it really to have a doll who will always be naked?

 

I chose No, and I have no plans or desire to..... It was the closest option in the poll but I really needed one that said No, but I might if I found the right doll for the right character

On the whole my dolls have their own characters and I have very little say in it _ I usually wait for a doll to arrive and I get to know their character as I get to know them - pre-planned characters tend to get thrown out of the running once a doll actually arrives and asserts their own "personality"

That's actually what I'd originally planned with Leif, my Minifee Seorin Girl, but once she got here, she had other ideas.

I think I might be able to persuade her to do CERTAIN characters **cough cough** Mad Hatter **cough cough** but not without the appropriate bribe beforehand.

I'm planning on making a Sebastian Michaelis. It will be a modded Dollzone Mo-B (SD size). I already have the head, picked out eyes, wig, body and outfit... Now I *just* need to mod the head and buy all the stuff. Ahem.
So I don't have a picture of him yet, but here's a picture of the character:


I might give him a Ciel to play with too, when I have the money...

 

Not yet - though I'd really love to get a doll based on Madoka or Sayaka from Magical Puella Madoka - they're such great characters and their outfits are cuuuuuuuuute ;D

I don't know about buying a doll to make into an established character, but it might be fun to make cosplay costumes for my other dolls. c:

 

I voted No, but then I remembered that I am actually already planning on making a character doll, lol. I am planning on creating a Corellon doll.

In Dungeons and Dragons Corellon is the elven god of beauty art and the fey. I have even found the perfect sculpt, 5Star Dolls Angelo, he is so beautiful.

I really should calm down, I haven't even gotten my first 3 dolls that I have ordered

i'd love to have a homestuck doll. not sure what character, though--maybe vriska?

 

I am a slightly weird case in that I want to make a doll not based on a commercial character from any series or game or book or anything like that; instead I am planning to put together a doll based on the actual historical version of Okita Souji of the Shinsengumi.

Other than him, however, all my dolls are based on original characters of mine and I don't plan on having another.
