Cherish Doll Faith Discussion

Jan 29, 2011

    1. Hmm I could attempt making a bonnet. I will have to order her body soon I get my camera and a new graphic card for my PC.

    2. That coat is adoooorable o:

    3. I bet a bonnet would be cute. <3

Pants for my boy arrived... His body is shipped, I can't wait to try them on. THey're Blythe size and I want to see if they do indeed fit the slim body.

    4. Well Cherish told me that some Blythe things may not fit, but woot for body being shipped.

    5. yeah it's the slim body that fits most of Blythe clothing... btw I should be making some dresses soon so I'll post some :)

    6. Thank you for the kind comments on the coat I made for Eirawen :)
SweetMelodies, a bonnet sounds like a very cute idea :)

So it started snowing over here, today. Since Eirawen is a little Ice-fairy (though her wings haven't arrived yet) I had to take her outside for some pictures.

    7. Aww she looks adorable <3 we had snow yesterday to add what he had 2 days ago. I wish I had a camera to take some pictures u-u

    8. She's so cute!

There's even a chance of snow here in the next few days- and it's never snowed here in my life. I'd love to see it happen.

My boy did arrive, too! The blythe shorts and shirt I bought for him fit nearly perfectly, though the shoes I bought for him are at least twice the size of his feet. I might have bought the wrong size, though, I think they were advertised as being for a tiny or something, but I can't remember... >_<

I found a pair of Blythe shoes I'm going to try, and I'll see if they fit.

I did take a few pictures today, too, and I'll post one tomorrow when I have time to download them.

    9. wow she's so cute :D
      I hope the weather warms soon so I can work on her ^^;;
BTW Cherishdoll has sent me an e-mail today: they forgot to add the eye putty and the eyelashes in my package ^^ so they want to give me store credit or they can send me the items at their cost via airmail. I think I'll take the store credit as I'd like to buy an MSD from them in the future.

they could have totally overlooked that I thought the eye putty and the eyelashes because I was taking my dolly with no faceup (I thought it was a face up bonus so I didn;t think I was eligible) it's still is a nice gesture of them to do that :)

    10. Took a couple shots of my boy with his recently-arrived body. :) Most of them didn't come out as well as I'd hoped they would, the light was being weird and I should've gotten out my tripod, etc, but I liked this one.

Sorry it's big, I couldn't get the resizing code to work. If it's too big or something I can reupload it smaller, just let me know.

    11. Such a cutie pie! My poor Anna is still in her container coffin hiding in my drawer until I can do her face up. You wnt to avoid YoSD shoes or any shoes that are 4.5cm. Slim bodies wear Blyth shoes if you look at Cherish's site. I converted the measurements to cm, and they are close to Blythes shoes size.

Talk about late winter for us. Perfect day for face up, but cold as hell with the stupid arctic wind flows we have been getting O:<

I was thinking the same thing Ace. I searched through the piles of bubble wrap in case it was burred, but no sign of the putty ( I have tons left over from my two other dolls =p) I keep thinking it was for those who ordered with face ups, but it was nice of them to email you stating they forgot to add the bonus goodies in. I probably have the same email as well.

    12. Yeah, I found where I ordered the shoes from, and they are indeed 4cm, though labeled for a tiny. I guess they're for a bigger tiny. I didn't think to review the measurements when I saw them, they looked so nice.

      Now I know better. :XD:

I've such a hard time with terms and keeping them straight, I didn't realize a yo-SD was that much bigger.

    13. Never had one, but I think they are 30cm? One thing I DO like about the slim bodies is the shoes. There is tons of Blyth shoes out there compaire to the size the normal body wears. I was lucky to find 2 pairs of Mary Jane's from Mimiwoo that are white/cream color for Anna. Which I need to order one of these days. Next Faith doll will have the slim body.

    14. phoenix_kaji, he's adorable, I love his ears ^^ Such a cutie!

YoSD sized dolls are between 25 and 30 cm, if I'm not mistaken ;) I have three, all 26~28cm tall. They are noticeably bigger then the Cherishdoll faith tinies, Eirawen only comes up to Lavender's shoulders (Lavender is a Soom Afi human head on a bambicrony body by the way).
Here's a quick pic to show the difference in size!

(disregard the chaos that is my desk :sweat )

    15. Looks like my desk, lol!

Thank you for the comparison shot. ^^

    16. Looks like my sewing desk lol. Thanks for the comparison shot. I couldn't help noticing the title one one in a hammock in the background xD

    17. No prob ^^
Well, good to know I'm not the only one with a messy workplace
SweetMelodies, I only noticed that that little one was visible when I reviewed my post  (that's Ukkie, a puki pukisha). Hmm maybe I should do another comparison soonish, with my entire dolly family ^^ (1msd, 3 yosd, 2 puki's and 1 faith)

    18. Lol I noticed I said title instead of little. I kinda figure it was a puki by the looks of it, but wasn't 100% sure since its far away.

pheonix, did your body came with the pointing finger hands or is it the open hands? I read somewhere on Cherish site that Faith bodies will now come with open hands instead of their pointing hands.

    19. He doesn't look like he's pointing, so I think he does have open hands. I didn't realize they'd changed. :XD:

It's nice, though, because I got him a chair and he looks like he's holding the sides of it as he sits with the way his hands are.

    20. Hmm. I wonder if the open hands is for the slimmer bodies. Cause the regular bodies have the pointing finger hands. I will have to ask Cherish to make sure.
