I wanted an SD boy and my first choice was a Migidoll Ryu but I had a change of heart.

the doll I decided on is Dollfamily H Nangong LE. he came to me in my dreams, which was very weird...

At first I was sceptical about the sculpt because of the pictures that I saw from the website.. but when he arrived, he was love at fisrt sight he fits the character

I still own him and Im sure he'll be with me forever

I was searching around for a while and picked my favourite (both beauty and budget wise )

Once I had enough money to buy her and I had thought over my decision.

I was/still am extremely happy with my first choice! I believe that I couldn't have been more happy with my decision.

A Mystic Kids Evelyn~ and yes I do!!

I was able to choose her~ I had quite a while when I was saving up xD so it was a very easy choice.

 

Not exactly able to fill out form yet, but I am trying to choose right now and it is very difficult!

It was based on an impulse, I could even call it love at first sight!

Wasn't thinking about her as my "first", rather as "the one (and only)", probably as soon as I saw her.

I was happy with the doll and feel sad I decided to sell her later. However, if I had a chance now, I would buy another doll, smaller and with better knee joints.

Dollmore Lilis Liv, but not anymore

Yes, I had spare money, and was free to choose. However, I didn't have PayPal then but I was lucky the company I was buying from was able to accept another way of payment.

After doing my research, I looked through every single doll website; in every part of the world~

I kept going back to her, even if I saw ones I thought I liked. And her promo pictures sealed the deal ^-^

Not at all! She’s so beautiful and special to me, I don’t think I could ever regret adopting her~ I will order a new doll soon! Hopefully, a SWITCH doll

A Mystic Kids Lillian! I adore her and lover her to bits. She’s sitting next to me as I type this out!

Yes, it was my choice. And yes, it was a present. My parents thought BJDs were really interesting after I showed them some pictures, and decided to gift me one ^-^

 

How did YOU decide which doll should be your first?
I looked around galleries looking for owner pictures of dolls and made lists for what sculps I liked. Looked through the brand pages, compared prices and surfed the web and DOA for info about the dolls or companies, like how easy it is to find fitting clothes and so on.
By seeing a lot of dolls during that time, I saw how my taste changed from the first BJDs I really liked, until I fell in love with some certain dolls so badly that those are the ones I want now!

And when did you know that this doll should be your first?
Most of the dolls I want were/are limited and not available at that time so I settled for one of them that I actually could get!

Nah I narrowed my choices down so much that any of the dolls on my list now are gonna be dolls I like!

Which doll was your first and do you still own it?
My first to arrive was actually a used Waseon from the MP here^^

Yes I chose all my dolls and had no help whatsoever.

 

I bought both of my dolls at roughly the same time, but technically fell in love with one first, so I'll go with her.

How did YOU decide which doll should be your first?
My friend had been super-into the hobby for a while, so I decided to look around for one too. He had bought a Luts Bory, and I was looking around on Luts and a couple of others until I found one that just stuck in my mind.

And when did you know that this doll should be your first?
My parents were talking about buying me a doll at the same time as I was thinking about buying my YoSD, so they bought me her for a birthday, then I ordered the other one with my own money. I think it might have been about the same week, too.

For a while this year I was regretting getting her, but I've since renamed her and revamped her character and she's working much more nicely for me.

Which doll was your first and do you still own it?
My first doll was a Luts Lemon, and I still own her. In fact, I've had her two years and still haven't finished her... Project for whenever I get home to her, then!

It was a present, but I was able to choose it too. I'm also owed some clothing for her, so she might get new things sometime soon.

EDIT: Fixed some formatting issues. DoA is really not co-operating with that today...

My first doll was a dollfie dream. I knew Mai would be my first doll because she is my favorite female fighting game character.

In the beginning I was happy with my purchase.

After 8 months of owning Dollfie Dream Mai Shiranui, I decided to sell her because the head sculpt wasn't that appealing to me anymore.

while I always liked looking at dolls I had no interest in owning one, then I saw DC Elizabeth. I love Driders and it was love love at first sight, no question, I had to have her.

From day one. She was my first, second, and third.

I just wish I could afford more of her.

I searched through different companies for a long while before I found the one doll that would fall for. I saw him and thought: HE WILL BE MINE
And when did you know that this doll should be your first?
When I saw his beautiful face! But I hesitated because I was scared I would brake him or lose interest in him.

I was happy, and I'm still happy with him. I've heard a lot of negative comments about him and dolls from same company, though, but I still love him!

Kid delf yuz from Luts, and yes I still have him. He's in storage right now waiting for a new face up (finally, one and a half year later)

I chose him, I saved up the money, and I paid for him!

How did YOU decide which doll should be your first?
This was actually very hard for me, and I kept switching sculpts, but the way I do it is, if I want it, I take the photo of the doll and set it as my phones wallpaper so that I am forced to look at him/her everyday. If I am not still in love with the sculpt after a few months I will not buy him/her.

And when did you know this doll should be your first?
I've been in love with this boy for a while now, and also his sculpt reminds me of my own drawing style.

Absolutely not, I love my baby~

My first will be a Migidoll Cho, but unfortunately I actually haven't even gotten him yet, I am still saving for him.

Yes I was able to choose the sculpt I wanted after many months of searching, and no it wont be a present, I've gotten a job for the first time and I'm currently saving my money for him.

I had a few sites recommended to me at a con, and found a doll I really felt fit the D&D character I wanted to shell.

When saw her and knew she would fit the character I wanted.

Resinsoul Mei on the Rong body, and I do still have her.

I had a character that I loved, and happened to find a BJD sculpt that looked exactly like him. If I had to have only one doll, it had to be this doll and this character.

And when did you know that this doll should be your first?
When I received quite a bunch of money for Christmas, and saw someone was selling him on the second-hand marketplace. I bought the head with a cheaper body, and one week after I decided I really wanted a BJD, there he was !

I'm very happy with this choice, I couldn't have done any better ! More than a year and a half after, I'm still absolutely in love xD

It was a Junior Delf Terra on Bobobie body, and yes, I still own it, and think I would never sell him !

It was an after-Christmas present from me to me, actually xD

 

It was easy to choose my first doll because I was not that familiar with the different sculpts. The more sculpts I know, the harder it is to choose among them.

 

How did YOU decide which doll should be your first?
At the time, I knew nothing of BJD forums so my knowledge was woefully limited. I only knew that I was very attracted to them from what I can see in company stock photos on DoD, Latidoll, and Volks. My funds were also rather limited as a college student, so I had to budget for something less expensive.

And when did you know that this doll should be your first?
I was never planning to get another one, actually. I figured that if I ever wanted something different, I could change her appearance and outfit.

I'm not unhappy with my choice, but if I were to do it over again, I would have gone with either a msd sculpt from Fairyland or a sd sculpt from Supia.

Which doll was your first and do you still own it?
My Latidoll Shaina--I still have her and will not sell her off for sentimental reasons now. Once I finish acquiring and setting up my third doll, I will look into sending my first doll to have her faceup redone.

I was able to choose her because I was buying the doll with money I earned working over the summer.

 

How did YOU decide which doll should be your first?
I changed what doll I wanted to be my first like four or five times. As I found more companies in my search I moved closer and closer to what I really wanted haha.
Finally I found him and it was true love.

And when did you know that this doll should be your first?
When I would look at his pictures every day. Once I saw him I knew I couldn't have anyone else.

Did you get unhappy with your choice?
Not so far. I've had him only a couple months now and I'm still as in love as ever.

Which doll was your first and do you still own it?
He's a Souldoll Joelle.D and yes!

I chose him all on my own and paid on my own.

When I saw Yukinojo Sawaragi I just had this urge to get him
i decided immediately when I saw him.

I was so happy with him i wanted to get another doll to keep him company.

Volks Yukinojo Sawaragi and I still own him he's my most treasured boy.

It was super easy to pick the dolls I have because I love their figures so I brought them all ^ ^ well some still on layaway
