Does anyone know what shade supia resin would be closest to a yellowed Delf? I'm thinking of maybe going for the ballerina body for Snow, and I'm already sure it'll fit.

 

So.... I actually have an old Lishe type 1 at hand and a Supia ballerina body in the original normal from March 2021. The og normal is on the yellowish side of things. When I get home tonight, I can try to take some comparison photos for you~ It did match an older DM Bella Auden head I also own pretty decently well, but I hadn't thought to compare it to old CP Delf yet.

I took a few photos late tonight, but here's my quick comparison photos:

Spoiler: NSFW Nude Lishe on Supia ballerina body + MNF

The body is in "Normal" and arrived March of 2021. The Minifee body arrived November of 2020. The Lishe head is a Type 1, and very yellowed. It's more yellow than my other CP Delf heads. It was too late for me to bring one out for this comparison set, but I may try tomorrow to get a color comparison for a better idea of how close the colors are. My photos make the Supia body appear to be more pink than it really is, so I hope the MNF beside it will help with that comparison.

I would definitely recommend the new "Peach" color for any CP Delfs (and for any Fairyland heads, honestly). The Supia website image comparison shows the new Peach to be a bit darker then the old Normal, and other's here have said it's a very close match. Which is perfect, really! Perhaps a little color matching, lightening would be involved, but, personally, I was wowed by this potential hybrid!

 

@Kim Dolkot Kiss as well! I always wanted one back in the day, kind of regretful I never got it. I'm really happy to see people still loving some of the older dolls and styles. I'm trying to make some of my old doll dreams come true too— I'm planning some feather wings for my Shiwoo at the moment.

@TasiaChiba Thank you so much for those photos! I really like the look of the supia body with the delf head, everything looks in proportion and the neck doesn't look weird. I like it better than a lot of the other body options I've seen, and that's really interesting to know about the new peach.

@chataignon : Absolutely!! Yes, this body is really stunning in so many ways. I've also found a number of other heads I own look just amazing on it! With so many more color options now, the possibilities have really opened up for many!

@LupusDarkmoon : With the Type 1, it sits really nice on the neck. I can't be certain of range of motion as I couldn't officially string her as I don't own a neck donut (and haven't made one yet, lol), hence the putty, but I'm fairly certain it will be a decent average range of motion. There shouldn't be much difference with the Type 2, but the ones I have have deeper neck holes than the Type 1. Definitely something to consider. I may try swapping one of them on the body, just to have a better idea of how it will sit. I have tried my Dollmore Bella Auden head on this body with the S-hook engaged, and it really sits nicely. I mention this, because she has a similar neck hole to the Type 1 Lishe!

@SacredMonsoon : I feel the new Peach is probably going to be the best attempt at a close color match. Anything even a bit darker than the old normal color is just going to make it that closer to matching, honestly. Supia normal colors are a definite warm orange-yellowish tone like an old Volks, but just much lighter, lol. Probably terrible descriptions here! XD The potential as a close hybrid is so good, I'd still recommend it. And if your doll needs a faceup, or if it's getting time to refresh it, I'd say allow for a small color match and you should be set.

For reference, here is Supia's new color chart: LOVE, SUPIADOLL Just, take it with a grain of salt. Because normal in no way resembles the color on that page.... the color chart is waaay too light, like exposure is off. An owner in the Supia thread posted their gorgeous Heeji in Real Skin, and it's a great way to compare how the chart compares to the real thing! It also means that they expect their Peach to be darker than old Normal, which bodes really well for old Delf or even FL matches.

EDIT: Totally didn't realize there was an updated color chart!: LOVE, SUPIADOLL Not sure that anyone has posted a doll yet for the Beige color, but I do wonder if that might be a good potential as well for older dolls, as it doesn't look quite as bright? But again, that color chart is something else. >_<;;;

Going to add one more comparison I did, but also in low incandescent light, so terrible quality. If I can't manage to get a good photo tomorrow before work, I'll be sure to get better on Sunday when I'm off! This time, a blank Type 2 CP Delf El head on the 2021 Supia old Normal.

Ooh, that's nice! I wondered about the Type 2, since I've had some Type 2 heads damage a neck that a Type 1 head fit just fine on (due to the poky parts that the neck mechanism locks onto). Since Bella Auden and Type 1 Lishe have similar neck holes, I imagine Lishe would move just fine then o:
Also, for holding on heads, I've totally taped together a bundle of toothpicks (pointy ends cut off) and have used that in place of a donut. Not as convenient as a donut, since you have to slide it between the elastic, but it works XD

 

I remember when you first got pickle @Kim , and I love that outfit on him!!
