Time to wake up the thread! Here's Feather in her fer, I have gotten lots of dolly stuff done, and some stuff might happen soon! I'm really excited!!

Glimmers wig came! I wouldn't be lying if he is one of my fave delf boys. His little face is so much different to the company photos it's insane.
Currently in progress of making his horns.

Oh wow, such a big difference! I'm glad i didn't get a lookback head in the end because i would've been disappointed to put them on my old delf body...and see that xD

 

I ordered one of the Lookback Chiwoos, since that was one of the two sculpts I'd asked for in the survey. (The other was the dreaming vampire Moon who never got a proper release of his own. He was only available as a freebie head when you ordered a Feeple70 body-)

If he ends up being that much of a pin-head, I'm going to laugh. Tiny Head =/= a Proper Chiwoo.

 

Looking at the lookback el posted in the other thread, I feel like they're great for newer doll people since so many companies go for that realistic head to shoulder ratio now. But imo I wouldn't like how it looks next to my melon head oldies. I sometimes don't even like that my nanuri06 has a slimmer face than my others.

 

My dolls are all such different styles (big heads, small heads, realistic faces, anime faces, tall, short, skinny, buff...) that I don't even care anymore how their heads look next to each other. Though it's true that the Lookback heads will stand out like a sore thumb when surrounded by Delfs! Honestly I love the smaller head size, and if Fairyland hadn't discontinued their original Feeple60 bodies (the ones that looked like Delf bodies) I would probably consider replacing all of my Els with Lookback Els I still can't quite get over how well replicated El's face is, especially since they changed more than just sizing the original sculpt down. He really just IS El! I'm excited to see how well the Lookback Chiwoo captures Chiwoo's essence!

I'm glad I didn't end up getting a Chiwoo, I'm in complete agreement @Brightfires , without that big noggin it wouldn't feel like a Chiwoo to me, lol!!!

 

Sooo after trying Lookback El on my spare Delf girl body, I decided to get another one. I think the smaller head looks so good on the Delf girl body! Delf El always looked too bobbleheaded for this IMO.



This is a type 1 Delf body with no neck connector. There is a bit of a gap between the head and neck, and from some angles the neck looks a smidge short. So I'll restring her later with a neck piece. It should also be pretty easy to dye the head to match that old Delf resin! So excited to add a girl to my little collection of Els!

I'm certainly happy I didn't order el too, its the big delf heads i was hoping for, but i think everyone will make them lovely! I wonder if they'll ever release the old big noggins?

 

I've just scored a blank Chiwoo head from Ebay - made a cheeky offer and it was accepted! It looks like a very old head, and I'm going to try it on the spare Volks SD13 body I have which is very yellowed, or if not, I'll need to look out for an early Luts body.

But I've wanted Chiwoo for what seems like ages, and never managed to snag one if it came up...so I'm delighted.

Any Chiwoo spam very welcome while I wait...and it'd be very useful if they were not default faceups as I'll be needing ideas for what I want to get on this lad when he arrives. But any spam is good - we love us a bit of Chiwoo!

Ohh, a Fer - I remember the huge frenzy that erupted when they first came out! I never managed to snag one; there were plenty of us who sewed our own versions though.
