1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

CP Delf Discussion Part 13

    1. I use a Luts neck donut to sit the s hook on and then a rubber band from the s hook to the headcap. Works really well and makes it easier to change/mess around with eyes

    2. Oh, wow, that was fast! I just got notice that my January order arrived and shipped! It makes me wonder how long the wait for my f60Chiwoo will be~

    3. @Kim Thanks! I guess this gives me an excuse to order some things from Luts.

    4. For a moment I thought someone had shared one in this thread already? But I think that was an El, wasn't it?

I'll have both in hand with both old delfs when my order arrives. ^ __ ^

    5. Hi :) I have an old Luwen elf head that I've had stored away for many years. I've been unable to part with it, and now I'm glad I never did!

One of my plans for this year is to get him a Delf body, then send him for a new faceup, all new start for him.

But I don't have that key thing for the neck, whatever it is, to keep the head in place. Does a Delf doughnut neck part work with the Luwen head?

    6. You'll need an adapter. There's one from Shapeways that I think most people use.

    7. Ok, understand! I'll order one then :)

    8. I think you might also be able to use two neck donuts to hold the s-hook in place? I've never done that, so someone else would have to weigh in.

    9. I do happen to have 2 Delf neck donuts, but I'll have to wait a while to check that out myself as I can't order the body quite yet. But yes maybe someone else here could try it out?

    10. The neck doughnut can work, it's just not as convenient as the adapter. I have one for my Dreaming Lishe.

      Two could work.

    11. Ok, I'll check out how the neck donuts work first. I'll be fine as long as the head fit on the body without falling off or anything. I can always buy that neck adapter later if it does not work out too well.

    12. One thing to note is that the head will sit lower on the neck without the adapter. Sometimes this works to your advantage! But if you try the donut and the neck seems a little short, getting an adapter should help.

    13. I'll probably just order the adapter before I get to order his body. But with the donut also, I get to try both ways before I decide which I like better!

Btw, my Luwen is quite yellowed but it looks like it would be manageable to buy the Delf body in real skin normal or real skin peach. Comparing the yellowed Luwen head to my Sweety Bliss in real skin normal, I did not think it looked too bad. Maybe with a new faceup and face blushing it'll look even better!

Unsure whether real skin normal or real skin peach is the best choice. I have no idea if he originally were ws or ns, as he had another owner before from my Norwegian forum. It's too long ago for me to remember what color he originalle were.

Anybody have any experience with yellowed old floating CP Delf heads :sweat?

I just today started thinking about getting my Luwen fixed, drew a faceup I came up with and everything. Since he is yellowed I thought a kind of freckled version of a cute Autumn Goth/ Visual Kei elf could be cool. Or whatever it is you'd call the faceup I came up with XD Hoping the colors will work with his yellow resin :)

    14. Not yet.
If my past experiences with Denver Doll are any indication, mine will be the very last one they get and ship. XP

    15. Oh, @manabusama are you planning to buy the Delf body new from Luts? Just so you know, Luts has changed the Delf body and the neck shape is different now. It's longer and wider at the top. I had a non-Delf head that I tested on one of my old Delf bodies and it fit perfectly, so I ordered a new one from Luts and the head looked ridiculous on it... I had to mod it. :sigh

If you share a photo of your Luwen, we might be able to tell if it's normal or white skin! Especially if you take the photo with good lighting, and maybe next to a white paper.

    16. Yes, I don't have a body for him so I have no other choice but ordering the new body. But I do what I must, so if the neck need some modding later then I'll get that done same time he's getting his faceup. I don't paint or mod or anything myself, I never got into it. But also with chronic fatigue I have no energy to do things like that.

Sure, I can try take a picture but right now it's night time here so I'll have to wait until it get light outside again :)

    17. My breakaway is embarrassingly green... yours doesn't look bad at all. Maybe off set by all the green? LOL

Not the best pic I've taken of the two, but my breakaway 05 and my el from... 2009?

    18. I have an old Delf head (Normal skin Dreaming Moon) on a Fantasy doll body and the match is good, but granted this hybrid was made a long time ago.
I have both Luts Realskin Normal and Peach, and they are both much too light and pink to be a match to any of my old Delfs.

Guu Doll seems to be a decent color with the older heads. I had plans on using their bodies for some of my heads, but I managed to find some old Delf bodies, so I abandoned that quest some time ago. Guu will do color matching for a fee, but honestly, I am not a fan of the boy body. I know Impldoll did color matching at some point as my Vampire DES came with a custom colored body that was spot on for her.

There is also the option to get whatever body floats your boat and then airbrush or blush the head to match.

    19. I have a LB Lishe head, but my Delfs are all technically boys to compare her too. I have seen what I think are the LB Lishes pop up in the marketplace in the msd portion, and considering the size of her head, I mostly agree lol. If I sit her next to my Yder girl though, she should fit right in.

    20. I have a really old Luwen as well! Mine is going to be on a FM60 body, I'm planning a Carol as a gift from my mum, so when I get the body I will share how my Luwen looks on it if anyone is curious? Mine is a girl, my lil Snow!
This is her on Feather's 2011 delf body.
