Lb lishe is look back lishe from fairylands recent "look back" for some of the old sculpts

 

Makes sense. I do have one of those somewhere, haven't actually taken any photos of her though. I also have a lookback MNF version.

 

After seeing this Lookback Chiwoo? I'd recommend against going for them if you're a fan of the old sculpts. Not only is the guy a total pin-head, just like the Els were, he doesn't actually look much like the Delf version of the sculpt. He barely looks like the MiniFee.

 

Yeah, that's why I ended up passing on it. He's cute, but doesn't look similar enough for me personally.

 

I'm just going to toss the head into the Head Box and find something else for the bod, I think... This guy is in no way a suitable replacement for a proper tan-resin Chiwoo.

 

I thought the deal when Fairyland and and Luts split was that FL couldn't do exact replicas of the old Delf heads, which is why for a long time they only did minifee, chicline, and those 70cm versions of some of the older guys? Or am I misremembering something?

Also, how do the heads compare in size to FL's current doll heads? I don't own any, but I always assumed they were on the smaller side as well.

And, what's the head circumference for the Lookback El's?

 

@sephyelysian Thanks for the reply! That's what I mostly thought. I'd forgotten about the Feeple60 versions, but it sounds like even they weren't exactly like the old Delf versions, at least in size.

It makes sense that FL would make the heads in a size that fits their current lineup of dolls and bodies. I got an old style Delf EL secondhand recently, which should fit in with my Volks dolls other big headed babies. lol I'm kind of sad I missed getting a Lookback El though since I just really like the El face, and would love to have a smaller version of him to go with my dolls with smaller heads.

@TeaPartyRevolution you are making me miss my dreaming lishe, i regret selling them - i never seemed to connect with dreaming lishe until it was gone haha.

 

@KittyOrochimaru - isn't that always the way? That's probably why it takes ages for me to sell a doll that isn't fitting - so I can make sure I don't regret it... But then none of my Delfs are ever on the list...

 

I only have one CP Delf, my elf Lishe ( and namesake, Kirah), but I can't even imagine a scenario where I would part with her. Heck, I told my husband he could bury her with me!

I was lucky enough to buy my girl before I knew anything Luts/Fairyland stuff. I am always impressed how dang flirty eyed she is compared to any other mold I have. I believe this is a company face-up that she has and she has her Luts box.

Angeltoast is the artist for Kirah's face up and she captured Kirah's "look" perfectly! She was my grail doll for many years before I got her off the MP here. Your girl is amazing, too!

Every week I tell myself "this is the week I start making time for a photoshoot for each of my dolls, starting with my Delf boy" and every week something happens, lol... maybe next week I'll finally have something nice to add here lmao

 

Ichigo got a new wig today~ He's so cute even without a faceup. Old delfs are kind of like old cars, they just have so much more personality.

 

I totally agree! I love his new wig and that sweater is super cozy! Even blank, Delfs are so beautiful to look at

I am totally in LVE with how he looks! I still can't believe he's finally finished! And just in time for me to change him into a fall outfit too. I kind of don't want to change his outfit, it took me years to find a sailor fuku for him.

Naw, I think I'll just toss a sweater on him.

Congrats on once again falling in love with your Juri, @manabusama! Its always great when you re-fall in love with a doll, especially a Delf! I can't wait to see what you do with him. @Nasa, you're correct, with or without a face, Delf have a ton of personality.

Ugh, all of these Lishe pics are making me want one! But I really have no place to put her if I get one. Besides I'd make one a boy anyways, so maybe that's a good thing that the house is soooo small. Still want to make a Soony boy, though. I think he'd be the only exception.

WOW, @Neko-Yuki, a Tanning Lishe! I don't think I've seen many! IIRC, don't you also have one, @TeaPartyRevolution? That reminds me, Adrastos, my Tanning Shiwoo, needs a nice grey suit.

What a cutie There's something really nostalgic about Gravitation for sure. Can't believe it's been so long since I bought the DVDs, way back when Blu-ray didn't exist yet. I can't remember when but it must heve been earlier 2000 and something!

Thanks for reminding me about my Juri. I managed to forget him It's just that I haven't really had the chance to focus on my "BJD to do" list for for quite some time now. I've had to focus on some other important matters outside of the hobby. And I hated seeing him incomplete, and feeling like getting anywhere would take forever, so I stored him away. But I think I should probably just take his floating head and place on my doll shelf so I at least will not forget him!

Could be it will take a long time until I can order him a body and send him for a faceup. But that's just how it is at the moment
