Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     2. Ok so I have no doll money and need to chill but I keep eyeing male companions for Saireth. When aGatti released Alfarr :droolearlier this month I waxed and waned and finally passed. She’ll dwarf him in her heels. Then Magic Mirror Studios seems to have a beautiful elf man Levon in the works but there is no telling how expensive he will be and :sighmaybe the wrong scale. And Boom this morning Granado has a post in the News section about offers Vigor with Lucifer head in like 10 different sizes....man that looks like a nice body with nice poses. I have a hard time envisioning how they’d look side by side thou....:?

      Nothing real useful in this post just feeling indecisive as usual! I think Guardian Phyllis was the only time I’ve ever seen a doll and not hemmed and haawed forrrreeevvveerrrr trying to decide to buy her...I knew she was for me <3

    3. @skyealloway - Have you looked at Raccoon Doll's males? No elves (yet) but the height is certainly there, even for girls with high heels. I can't remember if I posted this photo here before, but it shows Raccoons, Creature Doll, and FIDs together. Raccoon Damien is on the left; Creature Doll Karin is in the middle. Granted she's wearing flats, but Damien is far and away tall enough to tower over even a girl in heels.

    4. I have been closely watching raccoondoll, mostly for more elf girls thou ;). I haven’t made up my mind about the boys...the faces haven’t called to me yet. It’s hard to balance body with face...Granados body certainly is nice but I’m uncertain if I love the face (plus he’d need to be modded for elf ears).

      I’m not even sure about the height, I still want Saireth to look powerful too so maybe a male more her size is better.

      On a sadder note. I am working on a faceup on my Mei head, took her outside to spray coat the most recent layer, then lost my grip on the platform I had her on. Down her head tumbled, bouncing across the concrete. All things considered, it’s not too bad- several scratches along the top where the head cap attaches. And some nasty gouges out of one ear. But her face is unscathed. Well, I wanted her to be an elf....universe decided to give me more incentive I guess...

    7. @skyealloway - Ouch! Poor Mei. Bouncing on concrete, no less. Will you use Apoxie Sculpt for the elf ears? I'm curious to know how that works. Be sure and post a project journal--or at least pics--of your process and results.

      When I spray a head outdoors I always wear latex gloves (to protect my hands from the MSC) and hold the head from the back, with my fingers hooked through the head and neck openings. Things get a little dicey when I'm working with a faceplate, but either way I grab the head or faceplate in an inconspicuous place and hold on for dear life.

    9. @vermont chick i scanned back through the thread and looked again at the pic where you put a raccoondoll head on the creaturedoll body..... could you put a creature doll head on a raccoondoll body and a fid body? I know the colors will be off but I wonder about the fit. The way the raccoondoll head day so low makes me think the reverse will sit too high....but maybe not. Darn you free Mei head and no more bodies :...(

    10. @skyealloway - Your wish is my command! :) I have three Creature Dolls, so I have given you an extra body you didn't ask for, just for the heck of it. Left to right you have Lucia on a Raccoon body, Mei on FID, and Karin on WithDoll. FID has the thickest neck--this one is the least successful, in my opinion. The WithDoll body is the shortest, even in heels, and has a very long neck. I usually have a Raccoon elf head on this one. What I love about the WD body is that the hands attach via magnets, like MiniFee, so she can wear very narrow sleeves without effort. Being short, she can stand next to shorter guys and make them feel tall. That said, the Raccoon body may be your best bet, although resin color matching will be next to impossible. This one is normal skin from the second group of dolls Raccoon produced, so it's a little yellowed. Even a brand new Raccoon body is not as pink as a normal Creature Doll.

    11. Woohoo! Much appreciated! But also drat, this extra Mei head really isn’t a good choice for hybrids. I agree the Raccoondoll is the most tolerable but it still isn’t right enough to warrant a purchase. I like the look of the shorty withdoll body in this group, it’s a good body variety, but also neck too long. Thank you so much for the picture thou!

      You’re collection is so vast- what’s your favorite doll?

      I just finished painting Mei so I’ll take photos soon!

    14. Did anyone else take advantage of the offer to place one last order for a Creature Doll? I'm looking daily for a change in status, even though it's been only one month. I figure without face-ups they might come more quickly. Maybe I figure wrong...

    15. I did, but I haven't been in a hurry for her to come just yet. I've got several doll-related projects in the works right now, so I've got plenty to keep me occupied.
      (Made the mistake of buying a little antique couch that needs to be reupholstered, and it's got like a thousand little rusty nails holding all the old fabric on...:sweat My bad shoulder is not happy with me.)

    16. @vermont chick I ordered and haven't heard anything, either. I know that when I emailed him, he said he'd try to finish by the end of the month, but might need longer because he was working. I'm going to give it to the end of April and if I don't hear anything, I'll shoot him an email. :)
