Crobidoll Yeon-Ho

These are already on DoA in another place, but I thought I'd post one photo of my Yeon-ho boy who arrived today for the people trolling the thread :3

He is on a volks pureskin long-leg body (that has yellowed a tad bit lol, it's nearly three or four years old now or so). The match isn't too bad, though he looked a bit paler before being painted.

 

He looks like an angry boy, but beautiful. There are so many pretty boys available right now. How does one decide??

Is it just me? i feel that Yeon Ho looks like a younger brother of peroth XD both of them have the similar grumpy look that i like XD

though your peroth is more aloof rather than completely unimpressed with life the way mine is. :\

 

I just bought my boy a few hours ago. I've got a question for people who already own theirs. What body did you get for him? Which company has the best resin match? I'm thinking about SDF, if there are more suitable ones, please do share^^

 

I have to say that I don't know. I think that senior delf real skin NS is right for him... But I can't promise that.

Ai, SD13, Dreaming doll and that Crobi's body are the only 100% sure resinmatch. I hope that people can understand what I'm saying (my poor english T-T)

And I have to say one more thing... I sold away my Yeon-Ho head (i'm sending him to new home tomorrow) ;____; He's not my mold at the moment. We're not bonding. -_-

 

I ran a GO for a Crobi a week or so ago. Myself and one other participant, purchased Yeon Jo Heads. I can't wait!! :3

 

I thought the Head only dolls at Crobis are aways a little lighter in colour compared to say Ai, SD13. I've never seen an actual Dreaming doll body in owner photos and from the company image it seems that even then, the head is a lighter colour.... I'll ask about it at the Q&A board next time. At the moment, I don't have the money to bring home his body

I do however have VOLKS pureskin heads I can make some comparison with, and I also have the SSDF man head on the way, so if the resin is a good match with either, I'll decide between SDF or SD13 bodies.

 

Healdria: My Yeon-ho is a bit lighter than Volks resin, but it's not a horrible match, especially once painted. I don't have SDF so I can't really comment on that match ^^;;

 

Healdria : I asked from Crobi (Q&A board) that which body does match with heads. But they said that "We don't know. We and for example Luts are different company so we can't say anything what considers resinmatches. We recommend our Dreaming doll body for you doll."

I get mad about it, 'cause on their website IT'S SAID that head matches with "Body : SD13, Senior Delf, Ai, Dreaming doll boy body". For example senior delf body is available as NS and WS... So which one is it? O_o *confused*

 

Thanks so much, that kinda saves me the trouble of asking. They usually say that because they don't want to be held responsible since they can't monitor the resin consistencies of other companies. but I don't like the Crobi or dreaming doll body. Just too chunky and heapy.

I'm pretty sure SDF NS is the one they're referring to since WS would be too light a colour and would definitely be specified even on their website, since right now they only offer those head in NS. Apart from the new WS Lance that is.

 

I have also asked them about matching body, and they mentioned, that they plan to release an own body for Yeon-ho:

You can match Yeon-Ho head with our dreaming doll boy body or volks sd 13.
We'll release our own body for Yeon-Ho head in the future so please keep your eyes on our website.

As we notice that below the promo pictures, you can fit 14-16mm eyes & 8-9 inch wig on Yeon-Ho.
On the poromo pictures, Yeon-Ho has 16mm eyes.

 

Well that's good news. They posted about body sizes they fit, not about resin color before. I'm going to try a WS b&G for my new Crobi lance. And if they don't have the boy for Yeon-Ho so I'll probably go from there.

 

I think that they mean that Crobi boy body in this case. But they'll release it as NS this time...

EDIT// But it would be nice to see another boy body from them. (because that crobi body isn't my taste at all xp)

 

I'm so confused why people say the head is super pale.. it's not THAT pale, though I have to say that the pureskin body of my yo-sd megu is more fleshy and yeonho is more yellow.

Once there's make-up the resin will match better. Unless you are super nit picky and you stare at the resin color and let it bother you to no end... then.. Volks resin is not a "perfect" 100% match. I would say, to be fair.. about 94%.. it goes to probably 97% with make up.

I have him up for sale but to be fair.. it's only because he cant match my F-01 once I purchase her. ._. i think i will end up getting a lance.

I have to say that the workmanship quality for this head is SUPERB. ^^ I don't regret it at all! Which is why I will come back again some day and buy a lance head when I have the money~

Has anyone tried a Yeon-Ho on an SD10 boy body? I'd love to see how this fits. To those of you who have this head, how large is it? It's so hard to tell from measurements alone.

 

Man, I can't wait to order mine in November >.< I just hope they continue to sell the head and body separately. I can't afford to buy the Dreaming Doll body. DX But hopefully if my plan is a success I'll have his face upped head, a body, his eyes, wigs, and clothes and shoes by Christmas. -prays for a Crobidoll group order in early November-
