I sent my dolls off for a face-up and the face-up artist mentioned there appeared to be a scuff mark across one of the doll's cheeks. Can't say I even noticed it. I should probably have checked them thoroughly but at that stage, I figured customhouse weren't responding to people, I knew the dolls weren't going to be perfect when I ordered and I was so fed up with customhouse, I didn't even want to look at the dolls. Hopefully when their faces get back, I'll feel very differently.

 

Haha, I actually like that "new doll smell". However, I do give my dolls a bath before I sand off the seamlines and do a body blushing etc.

Hobbysue, sorry to hear about the scuff mark, but I'm looking forward to seeing your resin kids come back from their face-ups. I'm still waiting on my Uri, so I can send all my CH little ones out together. Saves so much on shipping costs to send them off in bulks.

 

I took my Mars apart to sand his seams, most of them aren't bad, but two or three of them bug me so off they all go. But they strung him so tight that I had to cut his elastic to get him apart. So now I need to find him some new elastic. Until then he is living in baggies. Anyone know a good place to get/order the right elastic?

 

I've been trying to find out the same thing...I'm look at dollmore and they have 3.5mm elastic for MSDs. Would that be too thick? Should I go for 2mm instead? My LJs aren't the best posers and that bothers me.

 

I just found a seller on Ebay that has 1mm and 2mm elastic for cheap. A little over $3 USD for 15 feet of elastic sounds good to me. I don't know if I would mind a bit thinner elastic than he had, then maybe he won't end up so tightly strung. I plan on sueding his joints so that should help him pose better as well.

He's still without his own actual wig, but I'm fairly pleased with him. He's absolutely adorable, and incredibly addictive to photograph or pose.

 

Finally got Iskeri back after I left him with a very close friend for faceup and some fixing. He can now look around and move his head without completely losing it (literally.. it used to just pop right off >.>), and he's beautiful. I used to feel so sad looking at his blank face. The most common response on seeing him blank was it looked like he expected to be hated. I don't think he looks that way anymore:





He's my mistakenly received Marco by the way :3. I'm so very pleased with him now~

 

It's great that Iskeri is back! He looks very handsome with his new faceup! Great tattoos/eyeliner!

Finally after nearly a month of waiting, I got Hamlet and Annabelle back! I don't have good pictures since the lighting and my phone just aren't mixing well right now, but here is some temporary spam for Annabell! (I'll try to take more pictures soon!)

This is my new guy I recently bought off the Marketplace. He's a Junior Marco, I've named him Finnegan. He was lacking personality when he got here, so I gave him a few piercings today. Please ignore the ugly blue eye putty showing - must fix that!..... he also needs a proper wig!

 

I found this wig burried at the bottom of my doll stuff. I originally bought it for a different doll, and it didn't work at all.... I decided to give it a try on Finnegan. It fits PERFECTLY, and stays on without a wig cap! I gave it a haircut, sort of a faux-hawk style. (I can see a few spots that need some more trimming) Overall, I'm super happy with this look! I think it really suits Finn.

kristo, thanks! I decided on this, as all did a little drawing. But so far my faceup not as good as the professionals, and I would like to be able to present.

I want to show the clothes Alice Collections. Clothing for the taller than the Junior, so the jacket on a girl is sitting is not perfect, but pretty. The skirt looks great.
But in general I like it very much.

Vest is not fastened too tight, pants with too broad and was sewn crooked.

I'll try to fix it. But I fear will have a lot to alter.

Gantaeno aka Chloe =), I agree. Little Juniors should wear 14mm at the largest. I recently switched Micah, my Mars to 12mm and he looks better now. He's supposed to be 12 years old and the 14mm were making him look like a 6-year-old.

 

I have a Darea and I have 14mm (Dollmore glass to be specific) in her...here's a picture so you can see. I like them....just the right size for me.

 

Sirius53Black, Tomoyo looks great with 14mm eyes. I wasn't saying that LJs shouldn't be wearing 14mms. Just, that they shouldn't be wearing anything bigger.

Maybe that's a boy girl thing? In this picture Ginny is also wearing 14mm eyes and she looks fine.

I don't know, he has this look of surprise on his face when he wears 14mm eyes, I think. Some of it is due to the face-up which has to be redone (he has to match Ginny's new face-up [not the one above] after all ), but I think the eye size contributes to it.

Comes down to what you prefer really, Chloe.

A question for all of you with LJ boys - where do you get pants? I'm still looking for cute baggy jeans for Micah.
