Custom House Little Junior and Junior discussion part 1

Hi! I came to ask a rather odd question - are there any particular dolls that would work as a body for a LJ head? I want to get one for my sister for her christmas present, and I found a head on the MP but not a body, so would probably just mix and match heh! Which resins would work for them?

Also, what other company clothes fit LJs? My partner will be getting clothes for him as part of the present

 

It depends on when the head was made. The customhouse resins have been completely changing colour from batch to batch. I'd wait until you get the head in your possession and try and match it then. The latest lot of dolls for the past 2-3 months have been a LOT lighter. The older customhouse would match volks/soom/AoD resin. The newest batches of dolls don't always even match each other.

Dollmore has some Narsha clothes that fit the LJs but may have a little difficulty squeezing over their heads. Otherwise Lati Greens are possibly the only other size that may have clothing that fits that I know of.

 

MissCarion, Little Juniors have an odd size of 35cm. They are somewhere between MSDs and YoSDs and make great siblings for either. However, there are few companies that sell dolls with that hight. The only ones I know of are Minoruworld Juniors and Dollmore Narshas (which are also the only companies that sell clothes that are a guaranteed fit).
I don't think you'll be able to find a body at the market place that fits the head. The extra heads are normally sold as face-up practice heads and it's near impossible to get a body for them. You might want to wait until you see a whole doll pop up at the MP.

 

I have four dolls on CH LJ bodies, and they can wear a LOT of YoSD clothes. Obviously, sleeves and pant legs are short on them, but that can look very cute. They can also wear a lot of dresses and other clothes for Narae or other very slim MSDs.

I have a couple of Dollmore / CH hybrids -- but the other way round, Dollmore heads on Little Junior bodies. But they look in proportion, so I wonder if Little Junior heads might work on Dollmore bodies, as well?

In the past, I've also had a Little Junior head on a Dollzone BB body, which worked well proportion-wise but was not a perfect match resin-wise. With the right blushing, it might've worked, though.

 

I put my extra LJ Prayer Darea head on an Ange Ai body. It works really well proportion wise, but I suspect she might be a bit on the small side. Like Hobbysue said, the resin match is terrible because I got the head in October and the body was made last year. The head is more on the yellow side than CH normal pinkish. I guess I was lucky because it didn't take me long to find the body after I put up a WTB in the marketplace.

Well my Darea has finally arrived! Took her longer to get her from Spain than my Lati's did to get here from Australia XD Ah well, she's here...



It's a crappy photo but at least it shows her face up which I've been working on. Despite her being late I don't have her wig or eyes sorted, so this is what I have so far, the eyes will definitely change but I'm not sure on the wig just yet

None of my Yo-SD stuff fits her either, so she is naked appart from this half finished dress! Ooops! She needs a name too, if you have any suggestions

 

Finally found a dress that fits her so I can add a better photo of Edison (Edie) and my Ange Ai Uri, Darwin They are terrible to pose together, constantly falling over XD

 

So I finally got my Syaoran his girlfriend. *laugh* and she came with what looked like 16mm acrylic eyes. (well I know they're acrylic I'm guessing on the eye size though) Anyhoo...I think I like these better in him then the 14mm I had in him. They fill his eye well but it gives him less of a stunned look...kinda softer in my opinion. Maybe it's just the Meoroo mold though....I love Tomoyo, my Darea, in the 14mm....

So, I was curious.
I have a CH Yeondu but no body for her.
Right now CH has been kinda.. sketchy.
So, I was curious as to what other doll companies have a good Resin match to CH?

I was told Angel of Dream, but I would like a second opinion!

 

I can tell you a list of companies that DON"T match! *laugh*

From what I've seen: Dollzone Yellow ( I would guess DZ pink would be to pink), Minifee normal, Minoruworld misty Rose, Resinsoul Normal, Asleep Eidolon normal, Island Doll normal, Iplehouse normal

Out of all of them the Resinsoul is the best match...though not close enough for my liking....I find CH has a very pale NS. Most of my crew (and my friends dolls) seem more pink or yellow by comparison.

Don't know about AoD, my guy I have from that company is white skined. Come Feb I can compair a DIM NS if you like. ^_^ You'll probably get your answer before then though....

 

Rosaline, AoD normal yellow doesn't match. So I suppose normal pink wouldn't either. If I were you I'd get a body you like and then have the head be airbrushed to look like it. That's really the best option in my opinion. Nothing seems to match Custom House well. I've seen a good match with Soom cream white (fantasy parts on an Ange Ai) but getting an MSD body from them will be next to impossible.
