Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023.     1. Here's a little bit of Absinthe (formerly Buttercup) picspam. Once I made her the green wig, she just wasn't Buttercup anymore.

      I wasn't sure whether to post a couple of pictures here or in the waiting room thread, so I'm posting them in both. I hope you guys don't mind.

      I worked on her in the evenings this past week. I enhanced her face-up, made her a wig and tail, as well as a corset, gauntlets, neck ring, and ankle bracelet. All she needs now is some weaponry.

      Here's a close-up of her adorable face, that also shows some detail of her corset and wig. Yes, I gave her real lashes.

      I'm really pleased with the way the corset turned out. It was kind of a drape-and-sew project – I didn't make or use a pattern. If I make another one for her, I'll take pics of the process and post them.

      As for her eyelashes, I buy the sets of doll eyelashes that include both top and bottom lashes. While the top ones, in my opinion, are too long for BJD's, the bottom lashes are only about an eighth of an inch long and are just the right size for tiny dolls. Applying them involved Elmer's Glue, pointy-ended tweezers, and lots of swearing.

      It has certainly been a labor of love. I'm enchanted with this little girl.

      I'm now studying up on how to bend wooden dowels so I can make her a bow for the bow-and-arrow set she wants. I know, I know – I'm stereotyping centaurs. She's the one who wants it though. I would have opted for a much simpler staff. The bow-and-arrow thing must be genetically encoded in the them.

    8. If anybody out there missed out on an Elise, Jpopdolls just sent out the announcement - they have extras and they'll be putting half on sale as of tomorrow (8/28) at 6p.m. PST.     11. Your Suli is adorable. Great picture!

      I like what you did with her wig. They're little faces are so small that they can get lost in all that hair. The braid tames it just enough so you can see her face.

      I also love the beaded ornament you made for her. Can you put up a better pic of it?

    12. Thanks so much! I agree on the wig thing, I wasn't aware of what I was getting into with this mohair XD I especially like to keep it tame so that you can see her widdle ears, which are imho one of her most attractive features :)

      my girl isnt very stable though, which saddens me a bi... but its ok. :P

    17. Aww, I'm sorry your girl isn't stable. I can't get mine to stand up on her hind limbs or anything fancy, but she stays up pretty well.

      I'm still waiting on a wig from 1mim, myself. :3 I've gathered up all the paint and supplies I should need to get her repainted/blushed, but I just need to find the time.

    18. I'm sorry to hear your girl isn't standing up like she should. I saw your pics on the Resin Cafe... So you weren't able to sand down that pin on her hind leg enough to get it to work the right way? That's too bad.

      I can't get mine to do anything fancy either. She falls over if I try and make her rear up, and her front leg tends to slide out from under her if I lift her other front leg like she's prancing. She does stand well, though, so it doesn't concern me too much.

      I am looking forward to seeing what you do with your Elise's repainting! Please post pics when you're done. :)
