1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. DaisyDayes' MOTH! There's a New Fairy in Town!

Oct 15, 2010

    1. Congrats, everyone! We'll all have new moths soon! It'll be awesome to share pics...

Rosslyn: I'm a little confused by the eye beads. I see that they can be replaced with regular-looking eyes. Do you know where to find other beaded eyes colors?

      Tori

    2. I usually pick up beads for eyes at craft stores. Most beads sold state their size in mm somewhere on the packaging.

    3. The beads they are using are called magic beads. The eyes pictured in daisy dayes pics are dreaming tree eyes. Their beautiful but I know not where or what size they are.

*drops link* I think the eyes in my prototype Moth are size 4mm in the 'rain' color, but I got them second hand so I can't be sure, I LOVE them though!

JPop has some nice glass eyes in her size, and I think DDE was stocking some smaller pupil'd eyes in their eye section as well...and of course, any beads you like, beads can be from 4mm-6mm (maybe even 8mm) and fit fine

hehe, sorry to be gone, I'm doing that crazy doll-maker thing where I take dolls apart and put them back together..."left leg to left hoof.......where did I leave that hand.....and for the love of all that is sane, why do I not know where my s-hook went?!" (you know, the usual day in the life...)

thank you to everyone who's snagged a Moth this last week! whoot!!!

    5. Thanks daisy!! <3 and your very welcome. Guess I should expect her Monday hopefully.

    6. So looking forward to all the new girls arriving. I am going to play with Epiphany tomorrow she is glaring at me from her lantern

    7. I got my miracle beads on ebay, I just did a search, I used 6mm beads in my moth!
here she is with her new wig! (yes she has a light saber and pistol, she's a secret agent! )

    8. Thanks for all the tips on eyes, everyone. Now, I just need to find some clothes! I am afraid I'll have to drag out my sewing machine cuz I don't find many clothes for Moth's size. Tori

    9. Yeah I see myself making little lace outfits for my moth. :P

    10. Ooh I could never machine sew for a tiny! I do all my tinies' outfits by hand.

    11. A little moth Flittered home today! She's very cute!

    12. My little moth flew in, too. She's so beautiful! I thought that moth came with some eyes per the JPop site, but mine didn't come with any :(. Perhaps it was an oversight? Has everyone else received bead eyes with moth? How were they packaged? Gosh I hope I didn't throw them out somehow! Tori

    13. Hiya torisaur, mine were inside her head. :)

    14. I got my shipping notice! EE! *dances*

    15. I thought the same thing yesterday but as I was ready to go to bed I found one. I don't know where the other was. The beads weren't in her head though cause her headcap is pretty solid. :/ they should have been placed in a baggy cause I doubt I'll find the other one now.

    16. Mine should be here tomorrow! Jpops usually packs the eyes inside the head cap, but I have found them in other places. Is there any chance your other eye worked its way inside of someting else? I found one once in the body!!

    17. Hi everyone,

Thanks for helping me figure out where moth's eyes were! I looked again in the packing materials and they were in a white bag (not in the head). Oh my!

Now, what kind of putty do you use to install the eyes?

      Thx, Tori

    18. I'll check again when I get home but I figure it rolled away somewhereon my bed or floor. :(

I use macks sylicone ear plugs. I just placed the eyes in there put a dab of the wax over it and then poked it witha toothpick till I got the depiction I wanted. :)

    19. I was surprised but i did find the other bead eye... so i put them away. their very lovely, but ive never been a fan of pupiless dolls... these make her much too bug like.
