1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Dark Castle Doll Discussion...

Mar 14, 2007

    1. YES YES YES!

I love creepy dolls, and the thought of these (frankley BEAUTIFUL) dolls in such a setting would be the COOLEST THING EVER.

    2. Cant wait for that Zombie!!!^_^

    3. [IMG]

thought you guys might like to see the white one in a dark wig since someone asked me what he looked like in one. :3

    4. First of all I have to say that I was lucky enough to see the prototype for this guy at the last Kansas meet up, and I was TOTALLY blown away! He is so amazing, so much detail! Batchix is very tallented!

I definately love the concept for the line of Monsters she has planned. Absolutely brilliant!

Keep up the amazing work Batchix!

    5. it's brilliant, there have been a few bids on them already on EvilBay.

Sterling i am SO jealous, you saw him IRL !!!!

Ditto, he is added to my wishlist now...

    6. They are totally cool. Really love the style they are done in, although they are a little scary for me.

    7. I love the white boy... I love BW/WS resin color anyway; Ghost artist boy is just too cool for a background!

Of course, I like unusual resin colors, too, so the gray boy is also lovely!

I hope these unusual, unique boys will go to great homes--and that we see photos in the gallery! :)

I'm too doll-poor to afford one right now, unfortunately! :(

    8. oh he has sold for a good price! **sighs as the boy she lusts for has gone, never to be seen again**

    9. good job finding homes for the first two!

      two more now??

      tan one plz?

    10. Ooooh--would a tan one be good as a Mummy??? That would be too cool!!! :D

    11. ... wow, this is completely awesome!!
I can't wait to see some more. maybe girl bjds?

    12. I watched the bid go all the way down, wishing I had the money for him ^.^;; Im glad he found a home, but am dying to know who won him!! I hope to see pics on DOA soon ^.~
I adore him, and think its really funny so many people were creeped out! My first reaction was to be endeared, and then my mom walked in and said he looked scary. Its something in his face to me, he just looks sweet :aheartbea
Anyway, I cant wait to see pics of him from his new owner, and I cant wait to see more dolls!! Excellent work, Batchix!!

    13. Not my taste either, so odd looking, but your creativity is to be admired

    14. Resurrecting this thread--I noticed there hasn't been a lot of activity from these dolls recently and I just discovered this company! I want to make an undead character from Warcraft and this body would be so perfect. Is there any news about this company or artist? The website seems fairly idle...

    15. Dark Castle dolls were made by Batchix. She no longer makes these dolls. She makes the Mechania now. I got one of the very last bodies she cast of the 'zombie' mold. They are artist dolls, so there are not many of them. The molds only last for a small number of dolls.

    16. Ah, Anneke I was just admiring your collection in the Malfoy Manner when I first saw the Dark Castle body you use for your Voldemort. It's a shame they are no longer available--but that's part of the excitement about artists dolls I guess :) Thanks for the update, I didn't realized this was a retired mold!

    17. Anneke, Batchix is an artist who works here in the US, it might be worth it for you to try and PM her. I am waiting myself for her to release Machina's male counterpart robot boy.

    18. Ah thank you for the heads up Stella Maris! I wouldn't want to bother Batchix about it now since I can't afford to build this doll just yet. But now that I know who the artist is I'll be able to keep an eye on their work :)

    19. I have met her IRL, she is a lovely, sweet, talented person.

    20. I've met Batchix as well. Actually went to her place to pick up the body for my Voldemort years ago. And when I heard from her that the molds were about done for. It doesn't hurt to ask her if she will make more in the future.
