lol Definitely, I've gotten things from Volks within a couple of days before ^^ So you might get lucky
Woohoo! Mine just came, and it's awesome! Now to figure out how to put a head on it. ... I threaded a rubber band around the arm and through her neck, attached the s-hook, and voila! Instant head attachment!
I wonder if that post in the neck could just get cut off...then attach some elastic or a rubber band around that part of the inner frame, with an s-hook... lol Amy, I love your solution. Rubber bands are awesome.
I thought the "SD maintenance attachment set" allowed one to attach a resin head to the DDIF body. I don't know since I don't own one, but I'm hoping the answer's yes. I'd like to eventually (i.e. no time soon) get one for my extra heads.
I think that the maintenance set only works for attaching old SD optional heads to the resin bodies. I have an older set, and it does nothing to help with this. However, the DD head exchange attachment part might work. I wish I'd seen it before! But so far the rubber band trick is doing well enough.
Amy, if you could post pics of how you worked the rubber band trick (I guess in the gallery or Larger Dolls?) that would be extremely helpful -- I'm expecting a DD2 body sometime this week, and I want to attach a Lishe head. I'm excited, I really like this body!
The rubber band trick is really simple. The DD2 is hollow, so the shoulder hole connects to the neck hole. So here are the steps. Step1: slip a rubber band around one of the DD2's arms. Step 2: Get a bendy wire, and hook the rubber band around it. Step 3: Pull the wire and rubber band through the shoulder-hole and up through the neck. Step 4: Put a head on over the wire and rubber band. Step 5: Put S-hook on rubber band, and attach to the head cap. I drew some silly little diagrams, but hopefully this is clear enough. I think it'll be obvious to you when your doll comes. You'll sit there thinking, how can I hook a a head on with a rubber band?, and it'll make perfect sense!
my angel soo Trilla is on a DD2 body. All I did was take a rubberband and thick wire..to make a hook like a s hook and walla.
