1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Decorating your dolls’ area for the holidays?

Dec 19, 2018

    1. Yes! I love to decorate their little space in the glass cabinet a bit in every holiday.
One of the things I learnt from Toy Story was that, if my dolls came alive when I'm not looking, I'd wish they had things to be entertained with, and this includes the possibility of enjoying the festivities as myself, so I usually hang different types of garlands and buy small props like chocolate Easter eggs, Halloween decorations, Christmas' presents...

    3. I don’t decorate their space, but I do buy holiday outfits and props for them and take pictures. It’s one of my favorite things to do with them, especially at Christmas time.

    4. I have yet to do this, but in the future I plan on doing so. I would love to put little décor to put around my dolls and dress them in holiday-themed outfits.

    5. I would love to!! I keep meaning to buy everybody Christmas outfits or dress them up for Halloween but I never really do. My idea for a Halloween costume for two of my dolls this year kinda turned into "...I'd rather have these two as actual dolls than just costumes" so... yeppp. I always wait too late cause international shipping times.

    6. I love decorating for the holidays & the dolls are part of it. They all get dressed in festive clothes generally sticking with traditional colors, red, gold & green outfits. The tinies have a vintage miniature tree that they get & some of them occupy my "magic forest", which is my collection of small (4"-2') trees made from all sorts of materials with lights woven thru it. I used to make presents out of small boxes of various sizes which I wrapped but that's about it. This year there will be no dolls in the forest as I've moved & it'll be too easily accessible by my cat.

    7. Right now I don't have a set display area, but I do have a tiny tree, so... when I have things rearranged and more shelves built so that I can keep at least one doll diorama up full-time, they'll be able to at least decorate a little for Christmas. And knowing me, the rest of the year they'll decorate for Halloween.

    8. I'm hoping decorating for dolls will inspire me to actually decorate more in general... I have a dedicated dollie shelf at the moment with backdrops from a paper pad I got forever ago from Michael's, and some glass jars I intend to put some fairy lights in. I would love to decorate that space with props for holidays too!

    9. I wish I had the space to do it! I don't really decorate for them, but whenever I buy decorations, I try to get some small ones to put them around the house so I can take pictures of my dolls and the decorations
