Delf If & Shine Discussion~

If looks like a large Shushu to me.

I don't know who's been sculpting the heads lately, but since Nanuri, they've not been very appealing.

 

I agree, though Shine is one of their better new dolls I think. I don't like shushu's eye shape much...far too big for her head.

If you put 18mm in, I'd be worried that she'll look shocked all the time.

 

She does look like a large Shushu. I don't think her face is unappealing, it seems more like a bad face up. When they outline the tear ducts in black it can look really odd, if they were painted in a more subtle and natural fashion they'd probably look much less alien-y.

 

If doesnt look to much like a big shushu.. i thought so too when i sa the first picture.. but her eyes are way to big o_o... and closer to the nose.
With that IF's wig makes her head look small and long :/
I like Shine a lot.. but im more looking for a girl for when ever i want to move taylor into a sd body..

Well, I was going to order IFs dress, but I decided I should not be speding that much right now....
So if anyone wants to give it a good home, its back in stock.

Ive been looking at my shushu some more..and at ruth and SHine..and they really don't look that much alike..
Ruth has a way bigger nose..and not a hunky face like Shine..
And Shushu's eyes are the same shape..but way smaller compared to IF..
and shushu has a big round face >:B

So i really want to see !

I finally decided... I really don't like her eye wells...

 

Its the one thing I don't like on her. Miyu has the same issue for me. I wonder if they can be sanded a bit so they are not so "Look at me! I'm inner eyewall!!" The bright color is not helping. I'm really hoping we get to see owner pictures soon.

I might get her yet and put big ol anime cat girl ears on her.

 

I think she would look lovely with some dark eyeliner not to long lashes..

I do like the miyu mold alot...
But i indeed think thats because the owner pictures are really pretty.

But iF still gives me the same feeling as Ruth did.. it could have been so pretty if only this was like that and that more like this.
But i do understand that if they would do it like that..it would look just like one of they're previous molds o_o

(even more like a Shushu.. the outfit photo's confirm my..she doesnt look that much like a shushu at all..there go's my sd version of Taylor)

I was thinking of getting Shine, but good thing I read this thread and realize he's not a Limited! I can wait XD And I adore the idea of a dreaming head for him too! I hope they release one!

I guess the thing about him is his personality comes off as "Mr Serious". Something at first was bugging me and then I realized...he's just not really smiling, lol. So yeah he won't fit my chipper charries, but someone who seems very quiet possible and mysterious. Maybe possibly brooding? A deep soul...yeah the perfect vampire!

 

I too would love to see owner pics of If. I find her sculpt very intriguing, but sometimes the Luts pics look very different from owner pics, once you get different face-ups on them. =P

 

Everyone went crazy over my Shine at a recent meet. So I think it's a general thing, that their pics on the site look quite bad. I really want If too, but other things are being saved for first.

 

I really like IF.There might be a girl in my dolly family eventually afterall! First bodies for the floating heads though!

 

Shine is seriously gorgeous. He will be my first dollfie ^^

 

I haven't gone through this whole thread, but a note of interest: I was at a Starbuck's coffee place recently, and they were hawking a new Joni Mitchell CD. I looked at the sticker on it. It read, "featuring the new hits 'If' and 'Shine'."

 

Lol I remember seeing that when my Dad brought it home and I just started laughing.

Edit: On comparison, I realized that Shin actually looks like he could be the Feeple Riff's brother. XD Same exact nose, similar lips and expressions. Riff's eyes are a little slimmer than Shine's, and Riff's lips look a little thinner, but DEFINITELY brothers.

 

EEEEE! i love the IF! she's.. well, she's just freakin beautiful! if only she came as a complete set.. the eyes they used in her pictures are gorgeous, too.
