Delf Type 1 vs. Type 2 vs. Type 3 Bodies Discussion (head swapping info here too)

Sorry if this has been addressed - would a Feeple 08 head fit on a delf body? Just thinking of getting a "big" doll and this head is my fave.

 

This is a REALLY stupid question...

I own a Cyber Bohemian Shiwoo--which I assume to have a type 1 body and such.

As for the other...2 bodies, is there a difference in the neck mechanism, or are they all s-hooks with different body joints and such?

Sorry that this is such a stupid question xD;; I'm more for the MSDs myself, but I'm getting a dreaming head with type 1 neck. Would he be compatible with the other 2 bodies?

Type 2 has a special neck mechanism to easily change the dolls head. You can see it here --> http://doll.luts.co.kr/item-img/DF_060614-3.jpg Type 2 heads are modifid on the inside to fit this mechanism, and do not have a hook in their headcap.

From what I have seen from a type 2 body, if you take the neck mechanism off it's just like a type 1 body. I'm not 100% sure though ^^' Also, are you getting a neck part (or neck donut)? If not, you really should because it makes posing the head so much easier =3

I've just attached a head to a Type 2 body with the new neck thing but after I closed the headcap the neck becomes loose. If I shake the body, the head wobbles.

When I took the headcap off I noticed the locking thing inside the head has moved. Before I put the headcap on, I had spun it so that it was locked in place and the head was fine.

Can anyone please tell me if this is normal?

It's driving me nuts.

 

I was wondering if anyone has, or knows where I can find comparison pictures of the type 1 and type 2 El head.
I've noticed there's a huge difference in quality with the vampire shiwoo in type 2.

I'm planning on buying a type 1 body, and stringing it with a type two neck peice for a type 2 El head.
Mainly because it's a pain to remove a type 1 head cap.

Any help would be great!

 

i am getting a Nanuri 07 head, and i know that goes on the type 2 body... but i was looking at the type 3 and was wondering if anyone could tell me if that head would work on the type 3 body or is there a way i can make it work? thanks.

 

I've noticed a serious aggrivation with my Type 2 Shine head. The head cap (which has a twisting lock mechanism) is completely loose! It constantly falls off, taking the wig with it. I've tried to fix this problem by putting a a thin strip of eye putty between the head and cap. It makes the cap tighter.

It's strange, though. My friend got a type 2 Lu-wen, and complains that the head cap is too tight. Has anyone else had Shines too loose, or Lu-wen's too tight?

 

I don't own one, but... which head is harder to... accidentally knock off or whatever?
Cause, like... I know the new bodies are to facilitate changing of heads... but if it makes it too easy to take out, then isn't that quite inconvenient too?

 

I own a type one and type two delf body + head. Both are difficult to "accidently knock off." With the type one head, though, you have to have an additional piece, fondly called the "doughnut" to keep the head on the neck. With type two heads, there is a locking tab inside the head that locks the head onto the neck.

I don't own a type three, so I can't speak for them. But it would require some skill and/or serious force to knock the head off a type one or two body.

Okay, that... now I don't know which sort of body I should get.
If I ever do manage to get one, heh.
Course, if I get a second-hand, then it wouldn't matter, haha...
I hope I never knock off a head.

 

I am very confused to how a type 2 luts body works. I know the only difference is the neck part but I don't understand how it works..can you use a donut and S hook on a type 2 body??

 

you can use an s-hook in a type 2 head but you have to have a donut. It's to fill the hole from the neck mechanism.

 

so is there no difference on how the body looks like, between type one and type 2?

Okay. So I just bought and received a type 1 body, because I believed it was the one that would work with my Juri 06 head. I see now that I am wrong. Apparently the neck connectors are not available at all anymore, which is making me super sad! So, since I can't purchase a neck connector, what is the best way to make the head work? I have a donut, but you can still see the big gap underneath her neck and stuff. Ughhh. Any help would be much appreciated!
