1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Denverdoll Feedback (ALL)

May 10, 2006

    1. I am updating my previous order that I placed on August 11, since I had the in-stock items shipped separately from the preorder. I just received the LFW-10 Peacock Pink Wig from Fairyland on November 14. They had shipped the wig out back in October supposedly, but I got no notice of it in my email. I had been contacting them once a month to check on my order. Only to find that when I checked in November the address was wrong, after all that time and never a word about it. The issue was resolved as they discovered my address was wrong after double checking and resent the wig (this time I got an email with a shipping notice). What I don't understand is the fact that they shipped the in-stock items to the right address, but not the preorder one. I was then told that the post office usually sorts this out, but I feel that the post office is not responsible if the address is not correct in the first place.

After this experience I would recommend them for in-stock items, but NOT for preorders.

    2. * What did you order? FL PukiPuki Pongpong
      * When did you order? September 2, 2011
      * How was the communication? Excellent. They processed my order quickly.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy--I paid through paypal (my initial deposit) and then for the remaining balance, DDE sent me an invoice through paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship? My pongpong was a preorder, as I wanted it in white skin while only the natural skin was in stock in their shop. The doll was shipped November 5th.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Despite some recent reports of damaged or defective Fairyland dolls, my pukipuki pong was perfect condition. Fairyland dolls have a high cost, but I really appreciate the ability to put the doll on layaway or just put a deposit down to order and pay off the balance when ready to ship.

      * When did you order?
      4th April 2011

      * How was the communication?
Actually, DenverDoll's Kaley was very prompt in replying. But... here's my story...

I placed the order on 4th April and received an auto email saying that I will receive a "confirmation of order received" email shortly. Then 3 weeks passed and I didn't see the said email, not in my inbox, not in my spam mail folder, not anywhere in my email. So I sent an email to DenverDoll on 22nd April, Kaley replied the next day, saying that the "confirmation of order received" email was sent out on 4th April, she sent out another "confirmation of order received" email since the email was missing. As the dolls are a preorder, it will take approximately 10 weeks to get from Fairyland. (This I understand, as I have ordered from Fairyland before. I did not order from Fairyland this time round as Poppy Zoe and Poppy Flora were indicated as Sold Out in Fairyland but not in DenverDoll.)

End of August, almost 5 months went by, no news from DenverDoll and no dolls delivered to me. So I sent another email to DenverDoll on 30th August 2011 asking about my order, Kaley replied the next day saying she would email Fairyland to see if they can rush the order, and she would let me know what they say.

No news again for 2 weeks, I emailed Kaley again on 15th September asking about my order. This time she took two days to reply, saying there was an error, but did not say on whose part.

On 25th September, DenverDoll sent me an email saying that the package was sent. Package received on 3rd October.

      * How easy was it to pay?

    8. I have purchased from them a few times! Usually things go very well. But I bought my Doll Chateau Bella from them, and after I received my order receipt, I never heard another thing from them. They never informed me when my doll arrived or shipped. It did arrive really quickly after I ordered her, but it still annoyed me. But I contacted them about it afterwards and they apologized, and they have been good about it ever since. :) I would definitely buy from them again, and I recommend them to everyone~

    9. Two positive transactions

What did you order? Two separate orders. One was wigs and eyes, the second, just wigs.

When did you order? One in Sept, one in Nov

How was the communication? Fine, they're always prompt and courteous in emails!

How easy was it to pay? Paypal, no problem

How long did it take to ship? within 24hrs both times of my payment

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yep!

Did the item look like the sales pictures? Lol, no, but no wig I've gotten ever has. The eyes, yes. I do wish they had better/bigger pictures on their site because I often end up going to company pages to look at a particular item.

Were you satisfied with the product? Yes

If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a

Would you order from this company again? Already done so, and I'm sure I will many more times!

Would you buy this company's products second-hand? n/a? Don't know if they have any truly DDE exclusive items...

    10. What did you order? A souldoll soulkid Bany (sold the head though)
      * When did you order? Over summer, I think it arrived in august?
      * How was the communication? Very good! I had plenty of questions which were promptly answered
      * How easy was it to pay? Easy
      * How long did it take to ship? Very fast .... I got her in 3 days!!!
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I would have lowered her value a bit more as she was more yellowed (she was 2nd hand) than I thought and (they sold her at full price with legs that don't match her color since her shins came broken originally) but I wanted her badly enough that I bought her even though I think she should have been listed cheaper for her quality.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? yes, very similar,
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes!
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A

    11. What did you order? Glib Acrylic Eyes "Marigold" and "Cobalt", both in 12mm.

When did you order? December 13, 2011 but I didn't send my payment until the 17th.

How was the communication? Great, their response to my questions were quick.

How easy was it to pay? Very easy, paid with money order.

How long did it take to ship? Very fast, took 2 business days to arrive.

Did the item look like the sales pictures? No, I think it's because they used pictures of larger sized eyes than the ones I ordered. The Cobalt 12mm is noticeably darker and Marigold 12mm is not as pale as pictured.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes! Despite the above the eyes are very clear and they look great!

Were you satisfied with the product? Very much I look forward to ordering from them, again.

    12. What did you order?
A ResinSoul Mei with white skin and a ResinSoul Mei with normal skin

      When did you order?
      December 2, 2011

How easy was it to pay?
It was perfectly easy. I paid by credit card.

How long did it take to ship?
Surprisingly fast. I got an e-mail the next day saying that the NS Mei was in stock but the WS Mei would have to be pre-ordered and would taken 10-12 weeks to be delivered; DDE asked if I'd like to have the NS Mei shipped or wait for both of them to be shipped together, and I chose the latter option. The dolls shipped in mid December and arrived on Dec. 23rd, three weeks after I ordered. We weren't expecting to get the dolls until February at the earliest!

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes, I consider the quality to be very appropriate for the price; in fact, I think the quality is very good considering the relative inexpensiveness of ResinSoul dolls (but I'm a BJD noob and the WS Mei is my first doll, so I think she's fantastic and I don't have a frame of reference).

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes. There's only one picture of Mei on DDE's site, a headshot, which a bummer, but I wasn't disappointed by any of her parts that weren't shown.

Were you satisfied with the product?
      Extremely.

    13. * What did you order? Fairyland LTF Rolly fullset
      * When did you order? December 28th
      * How was the communication? Excellent. They even emailed me to let me know that they had listed her wrong and that her sleeping face did not have a faceup. They fixed my total then as well.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy.
      * How long did it take to ship? She was shipped out that day and arrived the day after the next. Superb.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very. She has no flaws or defects.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Exactly, if not better. ♥
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Extremely so!
      * Would you order from this company again? Oh yes. ♥
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes.

      * When did you order? October 28, 2011
      * How was the communication? Very good - they sent me invoices and communicated with me when it was appropriate and were always very helpful and friendly. Over the course of my 4 part layaway I ended up wanting to pay early each time, so called or emailed them and they promptly sent me my next invoice. They were also very good about following my instructions to add an in stock shaggies wig I ordered right before paying off my layaway to my doll's box as well as sending me an invoice for my total balance.
      * How easy was it to pay? Easy with paypal!
      * How long did it take to ship? She shipped out on 1/6/12 and arrived on 1/9/12 - 3 days :)
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes! My FL doll and faceplate are even more lovely in person - the faceup on my Rena is especially lovely. And the shaggies wig I ordered looks just like the photo, which is just what I wanted!
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes!
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A

    15. * What did you order? Instock LTF Lewi NS W/ Faceup & clothes

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Incredibly so.

    16. I must have really bad luck or something because I have not had a very pleasant experience with Denverdoll- unfortunately it still has not come to a conclusion. I'm still waiting for Edward to come. When I had ordered Edward, it said on the site he was instock, but when I finished paying him off, I called to get a change of address only to have them tell me that he had to be pre-ordered. Wait, what? But...but the site said he was instock? Long story short, I'd call periodically to find out the status of my order and each phonecall resulted in them sounding even more irritated and impatient with me to the point where she told me, "well we're not playing with your doll or handling him. I promise when we get him, we'll ship him to you immediately." ?? Was that truly necessary? I never said anything to imply that I questioned their professional integrity. I only asked for the status of my order. I know I called quite a bit, but that's only because I never recieved a tracking number/e-mail/anything in regards to my order. I'm still quite a bit nervous since Edward is my first doll and the first time I ever spent that much money on anything. But I digress, the point is that that conversation really upset me. I still haven't seen anything pertaining to my order, not even an invoice in the mail. So yea...super dissappointed, I probably won't shop there again.

    17. * What did you order?
I ordered twice. I ended up returning most of my first order and making my second order to use up my store refunded store credit.

      First Order:
Brilliant Glass Eyes - Bashful Blue, 14mm
Guess Doll MSD Milan Boots (brown)
      Dollzone 7/8 Jailbreak Wig (blue/black)
      7/8 Silicone Wig Cap

      Second Order:
LeekeWorld 7/8 Darcy Wig (Eve Cocktail)
      DollHeart YoSD 2 Pair Mid-Calf Stripe Stockings (1 blue/white, 1 pink/white)
      Fairyland Pukifee (5/6) Donna Wig
      LeekeWorld Eye Putty

      * When did you order?
      December 2011/January 2012

      * How was the communication?
      Quick and courteous.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Easy.

      * How long did it take to ship?

Very fast. Both packages took 2-3 days to get to me.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      For the most part, no.

The -quality- of the glass eyes were fine, but I had another problem with it (see below), so I returned them.

The Guess Doll shoes looked nice in the picture, but when I received them they felt kind of cheap and flimsy. The soles were especially bad; a shiny and black thin cover that looked bumpy and uneven. They're not bad, but I was expecting something nicer, so I returned them. I guess $24 is a low price for boots though, so I should have expected it.

The Dollzone wig's fiber material felt, I don't know how else to explain it, cheap and plasticky to me. Almost a 'thin', or clearly fake-hair feel. I love touching and playing with my doll's hair, not just looking at it, so I returned this as well. I don't think it was worth more than $10 to me.

The silicone wig cap was both grossly overpriced and also just kind of gross at $8. There was only one picture, so I didn't see clearly, and I was expecting to get a wig cap like my friend showed me that looked clean and custom-made for a doll's head. The cap I got was uneven with thinner and thicker parts, had a bunch of little bubbles, and had to be cut to fit my doll's head. In the end, it's functional and I know that it's no big deal what it looks like when under a wig, but it still bugs me. I decided to keep it anyway, but I'll probably be buying another, nicer cap for a cheaper price elsewhere.

The LeekeWorld Darcy wig is something I'm overall very pleased with. I think it looks fabulous on my doll, I love the feel and luster of the synthetic fiber used, and it's a just-right fit for my Tiny Fairy girl. However, it's not without faults. First, the wig cap itself is a bit thick, so you can see the bottom rim of it easily when you look at her from the front unless I put strands of hair in front like the pictures. I wish Leekeworld copied Monique and put some strands under the cap too to cover it. Also, while the length of her hair itself feels very full, there's a patch around the crown of her head that thin enough to see the wig cap through, and I can't find a way to cover that. The pros outweigh the cons overall.

The striped socks aren't used yet until my new tiny comes in, but they look cute and well-made.

The Fairyland wig looks nice too, though I haven't tried it on a doll yet either. The puffy 'donut'-like parts of this wig can look just like the photos with a bit of hand-work to fan the clumps of hair out properly. I'm not too pleased that these extensions seem to just be glued on the wig, just because I'd be afraid of ripping them off easily, but it's probably because of how small it is. I think it'll look really cute once my doll comes in (hopefully also a good fit XD ) . Kind of pricey for such a small wig though! The same price as my 7/8 Leekeworld wig!

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
The color of the 'Bashful Blue' are very different from the eyes I got. The iris was a paler blue and the pupil was a darker -purple-. I know 'different screens can have different colors' but this was too big a difference to be an issue of screens. I asked them to check if I got the wrong eyes when I returned them, but they said the eyes were marked correctly. They did say that sometimes designs changed a bit and that this was one eye type that they should update their online picture for, but as of today the picture is the same. They did offer to refund me with cash instead of store credit for the eyes because of this, which was nice, but I chose store credit.

For the LeekeWorld Darcy with, the curls in the back don't look anything like the picture; the picture's curls were tight and neat individual rows, and mine had loose curls that just mixed together (I don't mean tangled though!) . Within a day of handling (running my fingers through them and petting it) they were all basically gone, leaving simple wavy hair. Also, looking at the color of 'Eve Cocktail' online and comparing with what I got, mine is definitely more a... hmm, a 'dirty blond'? It's not a pure light yellowy blond like I saw, and more of a dusty-goldish? I don't mind either of these things since she still looks fabulous and I'm not picky, but if I were someone looking for a very specific color and style, it would make me worried.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
I'm satisfied with the items I finally kept, excluding the wig cap.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I asked to return three of the items in my first order, explaining the reasons why, and they offered store credit. For the eye-color issue they said they would update the online photo (they haven't yet) and offered me cash refund instead of store credit.

      * Would you order from this company again?
No. They don't have many products I'd like. They often have less photos available than if you'd visit the actual website of the product they're dealing, and they only use photos borrowed from those website rather than their own, sometimes at a small resolution. I can't trust the colors of the eyes on their website either. That wig cap particularly left a bad taste in my mouth.

I thought I requested no insurance in my first purchase, but they added an insurance charge anyway. I specifically requested no insurance in the comments box in my second purchase and they still added it; in the e-mail with my shipping notice, it even said 'the following optional services were used: insured', which ticked me off for such small purchases.

In my second order they accidentally sent me two of the Fairyland Donna wigs. I let them know and they're sending me an envelope to return it. It was just a clerical error, but it's a bother to have to deal with that too.

All these little things together just gave me a bad impression, so I probably won't shop here again.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      N/A

LE Eugene (ImplDoll), LE Ada (ImplDoll), Gela (ImplDoll), 16mm eyes, fur wig, elastics, extra leg pieces, and extra eye putty

      * When did you order?
On August but I did a layaway until November 2nd

      * How was the communication?
Really great each time I had a question, they replyed in 24h

      * How easy was it to pay?
Really easy, then send an invoice each month on the layaway when it's time to pay

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Almost 3 month

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes the resin was really smooth to the touch, no seams, the eyes and the wig are of good quality and Eugene arrived with a free face-up really well made

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes! I think they look even better in real life

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes, very satisfied! ^-^

      * Would you order from this company again?
I'd like to, but I ordered from DDE just because they had Eugene (exclusive), I don't think I will order from them again since it cost so much to ship to my house. I live in Canada and it cost me 51$ for shipping and 96$ for the duane tax... That's 1/3 of the price of my order.

This is where things get a bit odd. I had asked previously in Denverdoll had the body in stock by chance and was informed that they didn't but they're next order would be submitted to Dollzone in 3 weeks or so towards the end of the month. So I placed the pre-order and paid in full. Later I went on DZ site to get additional measurments for this body and found that the neck size was listed as 9cm whereas DD had it listed as 8cm, anything about 8cm would be too large for the head I had in mind and I contacted DD before 24hrs. had elasped after paying for my order about the discrepancy. They responded promptly that they would assume that DZ had the correct measurement and must have changed it without notifying them. I requested that my pre-order be cancelled and the payment refunded as the body wouldn't be of any use to me at that different size and that the mistake lay with their website's measurements. Next I was informed that they could cancel my order but that it would involve a 20% cancellation fee that is mentioned nowhere on their site, with shipping this would have been $82 for submitting a simple refund and cancelling an order that hadn't been placed with the company yet. I expressed my surprise and unwillingness to accept this condition as the mistake had been on their part, not mine and that the pre-order had been submitted such a short time ago.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
They did issue a full refund, but mentioned that they didn't realize that it was due to their mistake and that the pre-order had somehow been placed with DZ already even though I had been previously informed that their order would be placed in three weeks.

      * Would you order from this company again?
No. Denverdoll has been my go-to shop for new bjd dolls, clothes and accessories for a number of years but this transaction has been rather unpleasant, I really dislike being stern with people but I refuse to pay for someone else's mistake.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
Yes! That's the sad part, I have no problem with the quality or promptness of service from Denverdoll and they carry many things I frequently need and reasonable prices.
