My Xiao Chan arrived today. He is a cutie. Not sure what he will be. Box Opening by SteamWitch, on Flickr
My status changed to shipping so hopefully mine will arrive before Christmas! @SteamWitch yours is adorable! I love that the faceup is true to the style in the promo images!
As I am a super curious cat, I did try it out the tiny Granado head on Xiao Chan's body and after altering the shook I got these results. Galileo is the smallest of the tiny Granado heads. The body is comparable, but the neck is bigger around but seems with the bigger heads or with a little modification it might actually work. @SteamWitch How do You like posing of this new dfh body? How does its torso joint work? Is it good at crouching? Or is it like a shelve joint? TIA
Hey @Swampruler Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. He poses really well. I have the two joint boy and he has 6 notches to slouch forward and he can backbend two notches. He can cross his legs very well. He sits upright just fine. He can't crouch as the Granado tiny boys can. I haven't tried on his ballet feet yet, too many things going on around here.
My Xiao Chan arrived Dec 22! I'm not 100% sure I got the Pink skin and not the White, but their pink is pretty pale anyway. I'll keep her. Mine's a Her. I haven't tried her ballet feet yet, (a current doll project is a holiday gift for someone and I'm sewing on that) but Clara will get more attention once I am done with that. The day she got here I did pop her wig and eyes in, and she got a cute little rehearsal top and short-shorts things I need to add the ruffles to. I wanna make her some cute legwarmers too. She'll have her Practice clothes for everyday wear and Special outfits for photoshoots. She is named after Clara from The Nutcracker Ballet, and I want to make her a dress to dance the role.
My DFH Pukki arrived today! She is so sweet, and I'm very impressed with the posing on her I was struggling to find any pictures of her sculpt except the ones on the store page, which only show her in blue, so she was a lovely surprise. She's in pink, and I was a bit worried she would be too pink, but she is a really nice colour!
Now that I have seen your Pukki... I want a DF-H. Does anyone have a Pukka or Kiki I can see? Can't believe how few 'real life' DF photos there are in the world and I need to see more to pick one!
I just got my Pukka in today! I ordered on layaway from Acbjd Hi to this thread! I got a Zhi Ling 2nd hand earlier last year and put a Pukka on layaway to be a mini/child version of my dollshe saint. Little Cal arrived today and i cannot wait to start working on him. I also got some extra hands! I'd for sure love to get more of these lovely sculpts.
Quick pic of Clara, my DH-F Xiao Chan girl, in her wig and a dance practice outfit. (please ignore the total chaos of the worktable. I am in the middle of upheaving and organizing it)
My DF-A BiBi twins arrived yesterday. I am loving their sculpting, body, and posing. Here's a pic of them standing on one foot together. The one in the brown dress (left) is Amethyst and the one in the blue dress is Rose. Rose needs better shoes, as the soles are curved so getting her to stand on one foot is a difficult task.
I made lion tails for my two little BiBi twins, the one with the red bow on her dress is Amethyst and the one with the blue bow is Rose.
I'm considering getting a Xiao Chan. I wonder if it'll have similar proportions to my Narsha, from the measurements it seems just a little slimmer. What do you think of the sale? Is it a good moment to order now? I heard they had another sale last year. I'm also wondering if I should get it with all spare parts or start with just the doll, it's a little intimidating to place a big order.
I don't know the history of the company and sales, but the one last year was the introductory sale. I think it was 15%? So 12% isn't bad. As for feet and hands...only you can say whether or not you'd use them. They do have a really nice system for holding the s-hook while you change them, so it's almost as easy as magnetic hands. The quality of the resin and engineering make it well worth even the full price, IMO.
After a long 10 month wait, the pumpkin heads have finally arrived. Here's how they look with some different sized bodies- From viewers left: Island doll- tear island 28cm body Doll Family H 30.5cm chubby body Dream Vally 30cm B6-12 body Doll Family H 1/5 ballet body
I'm having some character issues with this doll +.+ After some wig trying and outfit swapping and eye changing I feel like I'm close, she does have some fairy wings too, but I need to fiddle with some magnets. All i need some is a name and back story... how hard can it be xD sorry about all the mess around her, I just wanted to sit her on a tiny pillow while I checked Email and such, and she just looked so cute! Everyone's dolls are so cute, even the blank ones! I always think it says a lot about a sculpt if its lovely even when blank
