1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

    1. Oh no. Never. I never will. Just the thought of it hurts my head, I don't see how people do it. lol.

    2. It's pretty easy to buy two dolls at once PrincessBane. As many people have said, if they have the funds (like getting it from a savings account they made just to put money into it for dolls) then they do it. Most do it because they can't just chose one and they can't decide OR the company has an event (like FREE SHIPPING XD) OR even reduced shipping charges.

Me myself...not technically. I haven't SPENT the money to get two dolls at once but Dreaming Doll has their winter event going on right now and so sense I spent the right amount of money I can get a free 1/12 dolly with the 1/4 girl I bought with free shipping. Needless to say this was one of the things I've been waiting on for a little while. I don't regret it either because the 1/4 girl is one of the bodies I've been wanting sense I started getting dolls. There was also the incident of when my Xaga Doll Nono came in to MOC (he was a pre-order) the day AFTER I ordered my Doll Family-H Duan Yu that was in stock...needless to say I got them both the same week lol.

    3. i plan to~! when i make my fairyland order i will be getting a minifee and littlefee at the same time because why not!

    4. I bought my two MSD boys at the same time, one from a Angel of Dream retailer, the other was a Fairy land doll second hand.
At first i sort of regretted it because of the "OUCH MY WALLET ;3;" moment,
but now that they are both here, I am happy i did it!
I say, if you can afford it, why not?
      Just my opinion :3

    5. I have bought more than one at one time and find im just as excited receiving each one as if i had waited one at a time. They find different places in my collection and thats fine. My real downfall is buying tooo many outfits. I usually have a box full and I find i dont have nearly enought time to be changing thier outfits especially if i put them in one that I love them in.

    6. I wouldn't be against getting 2 dolls at once but, I don't really like the idea of it. I'm the type who needs time to bond with whatever doll I buy. So, as with getting multiples, well, I'd probably end up selling both because I"d be unable to bond with both of them at once. But if your able to afford it and want to, then no one should stop you, a lot of people love getting 2 dolls at once.

    7. I was once looking for a certain Volks doll (MSD Toppi) and I found her being for sale with another msd Volks (Mihmi) which was another doll I wished to have, they were both so beautiful and I couldn't resist buying them both! and now they are my flower twins~~:D

and also I'm now waiting for my first 2 Latidolls ordered together ^__^ (I was about to buy 4 latis at once actually o_O they are so tempting)

    8. Yeah, I just did it with my first two dolls! They were both relatively cheap ($577 total for the two dolls, clothes for both, shoes for one, and shipping) and I just couldn't decide which one to get! Besides, now I have a little girl and a big sister for her! lol They actually showed up at my mom's place yesterday, but I won't be there to get them for another couple of weeks. But I'll prolly do it again! ^-^

    9. no, I've never bought more than one and I don't think I ever will

    10. I haven't yet bought more than one doll from a single company, but I did buy all three of my dolls within a month. My first doll arrived about 5 weeks after I ordered her and the other two followed about 2 months later and arrived in the same week.
While it was a little painful seeing a huge chunk of money disappear from my bank account, I don't regret ordering them all at once. I'd been interested in BJDs for about 7 years prior to ordering my dolls so I felt like I deserved to buy whatever I wanted as long as I could afford them.

If you can really want them both and you can afford to buy them both then I'd say go ahead and do it!

    11. Nope. Probably won't ever go that far unless magically fiancually stable. So I order or layaway one doll per 3-4 months or so.

    12. I've never ordered more than one doll from the same company before. Although I just ordered 2 dolls within a couple weeks of each other, so double excitement! Honestly though since I'm so impatient I don't think I could order more than one from a company at one time because of the wait :P

    13. I love doing this, mainly because it saves so much on the shipping when it comes from the same company.
Besides, I love it when two come together. It's just so nice, and they already come as buddies.
No regrets at all, in fact I am doing this right now with my Resinsouls. (if only they arrived lol) :D

    14. I am having problems trying not to buy two dolls so, part of me really wants to go for it and another part of me wants to try out the hobby and then get the second one one way or another. Getting really hard and tempting though

    15. Yup. A few times was just me ordering a doll for me and for a friend at the same time. We'd do a layaway to ease the wallet pain and also save on shipping. But I was the one placing the order and making payments and getting two dolls shipped to my house so I think it sort of counts. xD

I have also just ordered two for myself at once. I think both times were with Ringdoll, actually. First I was just going to order a Spencer, but when they were discontinuing the teen military outfits (that I NEEDED), they offered them for $1 with the purchase of a doll. So. I ordered two dolls (Spencer and a Don) to qualify for two military outfits for $2. xD Then, a few months later...Ringdoll offered a 50% member discount on their teen boy Petter. (who I also NEEDED xD) I had a friend who also really wanted one, so I ordered two with the member discount. However, when the invoice came in...the price was higher than either of us expected and my friend backed out. I decided to try and keep the order and just have twins. Turns out Ringdoll put in our order as two FULLSETS even though we wanted them blank. (ah, Ringdoll's communication...haha) Oh well. I love my beautiful fullset twins so so much! :) (despite the epic pain to my wallet they caused!!)

I don't know if it counts to have two dolls ordered at different times show up on the same day...that's happened to me a couple times. xD Very overwhelming...but wonderful!

    16. I did it with my Doll Family boys because i wanted them both as badly as each other and they seemed to belong together!
I often see two dolls that i want from the same company, like the new DC dolls Queena and Douglas, but my bank account wont take the strain at the moment :(

If i could afford it i would probably always buy in pairs though.

    17. I have posted here before, but I have a new one. The amazing Dreaming Doll event has prompted me to quickly save up as much as I could and very very soon I will order two dolls from them simultaneously and get a third for free. Three of my characters coming home at the same time, eeeeeeek!

    18. Yes, I did. I bought 2 same size dolls from Custom House when they were having 50% sale. Although I was very poor at that time, I never buy a doll just because it's cheap. If I really like the doll, price is not an issue (well, just a little...). So I was worried whether I was buying just because it's cheap but I never regretted it ever since. And I still love them. I'm planning to put on a similar type of outfit together like twin brothers. Since they are from the same company, they have similar style so I think it was a great idea. I know buying 2 dolls at a same time might be daring but for me it was worth it :)

    19. My first doll was actually two: In 2007 there were 2 Mini Fees that I couldn't decide between, so I got both! They were (and still are, as I still have them) my MNF Chiwoo and MNF Shiwoo. There still hasn't been an experience like getting two dolls at once!

    20. I ordered my first two dolls together (well, mostly together. It was a doll, and a body for a head that I had bought off the marketplace! :D ) because I couldn't stand the thought of my one doll being by his lonesome. I also had fallen in love with the limited KDF Lolly on the Luts site, so it all worked out in the end ;)

Other than that, all my orders have been for single dolls, though I have received two dolls in the same weeks from different companies (Luts and Soom!)
