1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

    1. I did it once but didn't feel different than ordering one at a time. I enjoyed the same opening both boxes!! ^^

    2. I just ordered two dolls at the same time! Haha. I have never done it before though. Usually Ive waited a very long time between buying dolls. I got my first one in 2007, my second in 2009. These two will be my third and fourth dolls. I decided to do it because of the winter event at Luts. I wanted to spend enough money to get the special event prize....and for the last few months I have been going back and forth between two of their boys. So...I ended up with both dolls I wanted! I dont regret it at all. I am so excited for them to arrive. Its been three years since I've been able to get a new doll!

    3. I have just got two that i ordered together. I ordered them together as I felt they belonged together. One was a limited edition of 15 and I had to have him and in the company pics the other one looked so good with him I had to get both. I was a bit scared as i had never seen a Ringdoll except in photo's. I put them on layaway and then finally they arrived this week. Getting two boxes at once was very exciting but i also felt a little guilty too. Don't know if I will ever do this again. It's a big commitment financially but I am glad i got them both as i'm crazy about them:)

    4. I ordered twin pukipukis but then I really wanted a littlefee-so I tossed her in the cart too, because the shipping was the same anyways. In my eyes, I saved money XD I also seem to order my second hand dolls in pairs. I have no idea why, but they end up arriving the same time. I guess shipping prices always make me baulk, and they make me want to stuff my cart with anything I intend to get in the future too and just get it all over with. I'm about to order a big amount (5 dolls!!!) from Doll Chateau as well. I was getting two, almost to the event limit, fell for another, another event doll, and they'll get here together because shipping is so silly.

...Plus I love opening boxes with many dolls in them. It's like the fun just keeps coming...

    5. I have at tax time :). And I bought the one of the each size puckis to decide which I liked the best. A pukipuki ,pumice and little fee. I recently bought 2 real puckis on layaway

    6. I'm wanting three dolls at the same time right now, and I'd love to be able to buy them all at once, but it's not cheaper at all because the dealer doesn't seem to combine shipping so... it'll actually be better for my wallet to buy one at a time.

I have twice ordered a couple of off topic Hujoos at the same time, but they don't go here :B

    7. Yup. I just did and now I'm waiting for them to arrive!

    8. I've never bought two at exactly the same time, but I have recently done a doll order while waiting on a doll I only ordered a week before it.
I know I regretted ordering the first one while I waited for the two dolls, because he was an impulse buy and I was much more excited about the second one, which only made me feel bad for the first one.
But then the first one arrived, and I fell in love with him! He's so darling, he posed well right out of the box, and even his default eyes were perfect. As for the second doll... he'll be shipping this week (as of me writing this) and I'm even more excited about his arrival, if that's even possible.
As for my wallet... it hurt for a few days, and I did find myself wishing I had the money I spent on the first doll a few weeks later, but I actually don't think about the cost anymore. I love my resin family too much to regret them! Heh.

Would I do it again? Probably, if there was an event or it was more convenient to get two at the same time!

    9. I find I have a really hard time spending large amounts of money on myself. Unless its purely an investment, like my camera or a computer. But last night, I bought two dolls at the same time - and while its not the MOST money I ever spent in one chunk on myself, its not really an investment either - and some thing about it being TWO DOLLS made me feel more guilty about it. I know, I shouldnt. I had the money there, and its inheritance money, and I havent really used it much for some thing as fancy and self-indulgent as a BJD and thats one of the things I wanted to do with it. But it took me a whole week of agonizing over it before I could finally hit "buy" ... Now I am less freaked out/guilty and way more excited. I ordered wigs off of Etsy,in hopes they will have hair waiting for them when they arrive, and am waiting in anticipation to sew them little outfits! ^_^ I know the angst about buying them will turn to pure joy when the box arrives!

    10. I bought 2 dolls and 2 floating heads during november last year, but they were all from different places and stuff, but I suppose that could count :] And if I wanted 2 dolls (or even 3 dolls) from the same company and could afford it at the time I'm sure I would have had no problems buying both / all 3 at the same time ( ~* 3 *)~

    11. I could not do that °o° ... when I buy a new doll, I need at least 2 months to find the right wigs, eyes, outfits ... Imagine if I bought two or more ... I would need the half of the year to find everything that suit them ! haha

    12. I haven't yet, but should I buy the Pukipuki's I'm currently saving for, I'm going to buy them all at once to save on shipping.

    13. I ordered Realpuki and Resinsoul the same day from DDE. I wanted both those dolls for over a year, and when I came into some unexpected money I decided to just go for it.

    14. The only time I have ever gotten two at once is when I got a free event doll. If I really liked both dolls and if there was some kind of sale going on, I probably would get two at once. Also, sometimes you would save on shipping I believe... depending on who you're ordering from.

    15. When CustomHouse wasn't so full of derp, I ordered during a promotion and got two dolls for the price of one. I love my Little Juniors!

But aside from that...there were a few bought separately but around the same time. They pretty much came in one after the other. It was a storm of cute.

    16. Right now I have two on layaway, both from LoongSoul; a LE Baby White Tiger Ye and a LE Haotian. I feel sort of...I dunno I feel good about having them because I wanted them very much equally (Gaaah I am developing a taste for LE dolls, I already have one and these two new ones will make 3), but at the same time I know I am going on a trip and I know I owe money to various people and stuff so I guess it is more sticker shock more so than anything. I just started working again after I took a semester off to focus on my grades, so I think I am still adjusting to having money again after being in "save it! save it allll!" mode for the last four or five months. Visually, I know I can afford them but try telling my brain that -_-;

    17. I always seem to forget that I ordered two tinies the year Doll Leaves had a Buy One Get One event going on.
I recieved my 20cm Zae first and had to wait a few short weeks to get my 20cm Rialia.

    18. If Im getting a YOSD I buy two at a time if they are under 200$. Which is all the YOSD I get, I like that price. I only get an MSD every other month or so . More than that- hehe. I try to make them the most special. But when I do get an MSD I buy LOTS of clothes for them before they arrive to get me excited. Create a place for them in my room, a wardrobe.

    19. I think that even though I haven't had two dolls delivered at once, I definately would, especially as I have multiple couples in my plans that come from the same company.... it just seems sad to get one and not the other. (plus, savings on shipping :P )

That said, I think it depends on where you are with money and with the hobby. if it would seriously give you bad vibes to need to put one before the other in terms of who to buy eyes, shoes, clothes, etc. for first, than maybe one at a time would be best. no use creating stress for yourself. :D
But on the other hand, if that sort of thing doesn't bother you than do what you want.

    20. I have two dolls on the way from Luts. I've always wanted to do a double box opening and I can't stand floating heads so when I ordered during the event I had to snag a body for the event head. This is the first time I'm getting two full dolls at once. Back in 2008 I received a full doll and a head from a second hand seller and that was pretty cool. There's something a bit neat about that experience I think :)
