1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

    1. Always.. I keep falling in love with a lot of dolls.. End up buying 2-3 at once..
      But never do layaway...

    2. If you buy 2 dolls at same sometimes you can win something extra from the doll's company. Check if there's going to be any event, also, look for limited sets of clothes, they use to be cheaper than the unlimited ones ^w^ Good luck with your dolls!

    3. Not in the same day, no. But I did buy my DC dolls, like, 2 weeks apart from one another. They were in stock at Mint on Card and I loved the first one so much I decided to buy a second! No regrets. They're beautiful.

    4. I thought about it before, like buying more than 1 doll at once from the same company, but didn't do it yet.
However I ordered things a couple weeks apart and got them to combine shipping! And I did order dolls around the same time that I'll be waiting for all at once... it's complicated, because I think to myself "well I really want this doll so why wait, I should buy it now and enjoy the time with it" but also feel pretty bad whenever I spend large chunks of money like on full dolls... uh >_<

    5. So far I have not. But never say never! haha

    6. I've been waiting for 2 dolls at a time, but now I am thinking of ordering 2 at the same time from the same company. It is a small company with long waits for the preorder so I don't want to have to wait months for a second. At the same time I like to have time with the new doll. I has stopped me from buying any other new doll because I'm afraid to spend my money. Besides I just received my DC Bella after waiting 6 months, so I'm good.

I do check every day in case the preorder is open and I want to be ready.

    7. I don't know if it counts because it isn't different dolls but I fell so hard in love with DC Elizabeth that I bought three of her in one go. As of yet I don't regret that decision and I was able to get them on a layaway so it didn't hurt my wallet too bad.

I agree with those who say if you have the money you should get them both. You can always sell later.

    8. I'm new to the hobby, and while I haven't brought two at once, I have brought two close together thanks to having some money saved already

    9. I've come up with a budget for two dolls from the same company. The budget not only included the dolls, but clothes and accessories for them as well. I can't help but think that I would feel a little overwhelmed with the arrival of two dolls plus clothes and accessories. Don't get me wrong. It would be exciting to receive two huge boxes! I just worry about being overwhelmed with too much all at once.

    10. Well when I first got into this hobby I bought my first doll. A few weeks later before she even arrived I fell in love with a doll someone was selling second hand and bought her without thinking about it. They arrived like a week apart and I never had the, "Oh no I'm not bonding" feeling or any other regret.

    11. I've done it once. I bought an SD sized doll and a tiny doll. The only real regret I have is that they were from two different companies and, since I ordered from MOC, I had to wait an extra month for the second doll to arrive so they could ship.

    12. yesss planning a twin couple uvu
and same sculpt same faceup too

    13. I just did - three tan Pukifees. I'm so glad DDE does layaway.

My wallet was curled up on the floor sobbing, but I was doing the Dance Of Joy.

    14. I've had simultaneous layaways once, but I can't imagine buying two outright at the same time! :o

How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house?
They came in within a couple weeks of each other since one was secondhand and one was ordered from the company. I got the shipping notice for the company-ordered one when the secondhand one arrived. (Right on my birthday!) I was super excited. It was raining dollies, I didn't know what to do with myself XD

Did you regret ordering them at once?

No. I'm not sure how quick I'd be to do simultaneous layaways again, as it doesn't leave room for any kind of financial emergency to crop up in the intervening time, but I don't regret it.

    15. Well, I bought a Fairyland Pukifee Ante and a Soom Special order Toad on the same day, for my mother once. Ante just shipped.

    16. I've never actually bought multiple dolls at once, but I did end up winning two in one day - one in a contest and one in a raffle. It was very cool... but honestly super overwhelming. I've had them both for 6 months now and I'm still not really sure where to start with them. They mostly just hang out on my shelf. I'm the kind of person who prefers to plan their dolls out over long periods of time and work on one at a time (my Unoa was in the works for ~6 years before I actually bought her) so just suddenly having two new dolls at the same time melted my brain a little. I'd probably never order multiple on purpose knowing this now.

    17. Either way, I was curious if any of you ever ordered two or more dolls at once.

Yes I did. The company had a Xmas event so I ordered two dolls.
I've also ordered one doll first, then combined it with another doll to save on shipping.

How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house?

Well...they were Xmas kits so they weren't strung. All their resin pieces were jumbled together so unpacking everything and sorting them out was....um...fun. :nowords:

Did you regret ordering them at once?

No...I've kind of done it again by combining two orders.

    18. At the moment, I only own one bjd, but now, I'm saving up for my next doll, that is, on top of saving up for clothes and other stuff for my first!
However, I think that in the future, I might end up buying two dolls at once. xD
I mean, it's a possibility, seeing as I've been eyeing [and saving money for] a normal-release doll for quite some time now, and I hope to buy it in the future. So, I don't know, when, and if, I happen to have the funds already for it and they end up releasing a limited edition doll, or a new normal-release, I might end up buying both at the same time, when my budget permits me to do so, that is. c:

    19. I have a couple of times, in order to take advantage of discounts. The only problem is creating yet more backlog of sueding, sealing, dressing, etc.

    20. I certainly never thought I'd buy two dolls at once...but I definitely did. Waiting on two Fairyland girls right now. They were bought about a month apart, but that's still basically buying them at the same time. XD Dang Tan Fairyland events...
