It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

    1. I ordered 3 dolls at once x)
Well it's hard for my wallet more than me ^^

    2. I have never ordered many dolls at once and from the same company. I have only once bought 3 dolls from different places in a month. That was already scary for me. :sweat

    3. The biggest order I've ever made was 2 dolls (+ an event head) at once, for last winter's Fairyland event...and I'm planning to do something similar for this year's DC event...god I'm such a sucker for events ^^;

    4. Yes I can say I have. My first order was for Andrew in June. In July I ordered Linn and got a free choice event doll which I gifted to a friend.

    5. Yep, bought both my dolls at the same time... I wanted two, so I just decided to buy them from the same company as they are quite unique in size

    6. I have bought a head, a doll and they gave me another doll as gift, dunno is that counts? if it doesn't then i would gladly buy two dolls at once :) if i have enough money, of course :sweat

    7. I have twice, but both times they were only heads and one was actually for someone else. Currently my aim is to purchase my last three dolls, again heads only, from DiM this winter if they're having an event. It really depends on where my finances stand, but all three would be ideal. If not, I'd like at the very least to purchase two at the same time as they'll be twins and I would like to get them at the same time.

    8. Yes, I've purchased two dolls at a time from the same company several times. Always from Iplehouse. In fact I'm considering doing it again real soon.

    9. Twice I've ordered four dolls at once but not all from the same company. Once I ordered three dolls form the same company. Each order period was different for me. When ordering from different companies I was anxious at excited at the same time when each doll was shipping and arriving. When I ordered three dolls from the same company it was a little different. I thought they would all come together but one arrived first and the other two came together.

It was fun to have multiple dolls coming home all at once like that but it also threw on the pressure to give them all faces. That means a lot of painting in a short time period. Still, nearly everything about this hobby has brought a smile to my face.

    10. I have 2 on order from IP now. I went ahead and ordered them in the last sale and figured it would be less to ship if one order. I am really nervous about getting them and hope I love both when they are here. I don't imagine I will do that again or at least often, that is for sure.

    11. Yes, I have.

How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house? (aside from painful on your bank account)

Well, they haven't arrived yet, so I guess I can't say for sure. ;) I'll probably be waiting a few more months.

I'm really excited about it, though. The characters are supposed to be twins, so it just feels right for them to arrive at the same time. I could have gotten one of them sooner (one was in stock at DDE and one was not, so I could have done separate orders) but I feel good that they will come together.

Did you regret ordering them at once?

      Not at all.

    12. I did at one point. I was reshelling my characters in Yo-SD sizes and wanted everyone to look similar. My plan was originally just to buy two characters but the company was having a Christmas event. And if you spent x amount of dollars, you got a 1/6 doll for free.

How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house?
I was excited. Although there weren't three boxes. It was all in one SD sized shipping boxes and then inside was the three smaller boxes.

Did you regret ordering them at once?
Not at all. The deal was too good to pass up. However ... I wish had planned better before buying them. I couldn't afford new wigs, clothes or eyes right after I brought them and didn't connect with them right away.

    13. I did. I was going to buy a basic version of a smaller doll but there were some newly released dolls... I fell in love with one of the limited edition doll so I ended up ordering both... it was also event time...so I just added couple pairs of hands for them and I got the event gift...

I guess I would buy two or more if I have money in hand...and if they are in the same company / or if any dolls there are LIMITED edition... or else... I would wait till my bank account recovers:sweat

    14. I bought 2 vampire Claudes by Ipplehouse, because I couldn't make my choice: real skin or gray skin. I also bought 2 vampire kids, because I decided to make pair.

    15. Ah yes, this was a mistake.

I PIF one doll, then a couple days later, did a layaway on another, but now I find myself obsessing over the doll I have on layaway. I feel quite bad for not checking my PIF doll's order status daily and not clothes/wig shopping for her. I'm afraid that when she arrives, I'm going to go "meh" and put her together and set her on the shelf and then go back to shopping for my layaway.

IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS WHY CAN'T I LOVE YOU BOTH :doh

But really though, anyone with more experience at having multiple dolls "out-there" at the same time with different arrival dates have any input on what it was like for them? Did you end up preferring the further-out one more, even though it was your second choice at first? Did your feelings for the others change when the first arrived?

    16. I'm in that same boat now (thanks to Doll in Minds sale!) and I find I'm switching back and forth between which ones I'm most keen on seeing.

I'm not letting it worry me too much cause I love the dolls I've chosen for very different reasons. To keep myself on track though I made lists for each dolls of everything I wanted to have prepared/purchased/made for them so I can share the love around more evenly

    17. well I'd say rejoice - you're expecting twins! Except of course they won't be twins - and they'll be 'born' quite some way apart from each other - but yay - 2 dolls in the pipeline! :dance Will you love them both the same? Doesn't every mother go through this? :whee: I'd say you won't know how you feel about either of them till you meet them in person, so give it time, and don't worry about it - unlike a real baby, you can always leave one in a box if having 2 newbies at once is a bit overwhelming :thumbup

    18. That sounds very responsible, I should probably do something like that. Would also probably help with making sure I have an even inventory of things too.

      :horror:

Lol, that's true though, though it's not what I want to happen.

    19. Actually.. Oh.. This is a sad thing to confess.. I know they are inanimate, however, I do that on purpose so that the incoming doll isn't the only newbie and doesn't get too shy with the others. :blush

    20. I often buy more than one at a time, right now I am awaiting a SDF Loid full doll and a SWITCH Milhwa and CP Nanuri heads. I don't think that I love one more than the other, I am really excited about all of them arriving and have even gone as far as to look at all the resin matches I can. I cannot wait for the three to arrive so that I can start getting them dressed, give them wigs, eyes and so on and so on.

I guess it might be natural to be more focused on one than another, but when the dolls arrive hope that you'll fall in love again.
