Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

I've bought two dolls together at most. My first BJD RS Yao and two weeks later RS Ju. Then, I ordered from Doll Chateau during an event two dolls (Agatha & Hilary) and got Russell, too. But As he was event gift, I don't know if he counts or not.

Oh, and I ordered from Fingertip Dreamland's Halloween event Cyclops Kitties (off-topics here on DoA as the have not enough joints) the whole four of them. But again, as they are off-topics, I'm not sure if they count either.

 

The most I've ever ordered together was two. They were both on my must-have list and both being discontinued. Over the course of 2015 I received 7 dolls which was a lot. I planned on a limit of two this year, but just ordered my third. Two of them were Soom Fairies, and they're not easy to plan around. Two Soom Fairies in a row though... I'm not counting the floating head I got this year, because I don't plan to keep it. A lot of them are still waiting for me to order them better eyes and wigs.

 

I don't have the mental energy for that many arrivals at once, let alone scraping together the funds for that many of the kind of dolls I'm into these days. XD I think the most I've ever done at once is two, but that's because there have been times when one was for me and the other was for my wife who also collects.

 

This time of year...yes. The dollzone and DC event dolls get me every time. I already have a bunch of DZ and DC on layaway from their last event, and I just added some of the latest additions.

On top of that, Soom and other BJD vendors have special events this time of year, but this year it's not bad they aren't really presenting things I need. I have mixed feelings that Soom didn't offer a kit or Free Choice. Even though Corun Bloody Perfume is bloody expensive and lacks claws, I am sorely tempted.

 

I had once ordered 13 dolls in a year. But now I don't get any new one because I've already satisfied with my 16 dolls at home.

 

I think my buying sort of waxes and wanes. I was buying lots of BJDs for a while--mostly because I'd been saving for them for ages waiting to be an "adult"...and then I realized that I was 22, approaching 23, and needed to consider myself adult enough at some point.

I had a bit of a break...and now I'm buying fabric for dolly clothing. I'm hoping that next year I'll be staying in the same place for a couple of years, and I can justify bringing my dolls and all their customization stuff with me--hence, the fabric.

So far, I have a few supplies for most of my dolls--and I've been eyeing some really crazy stuff: acrylic hemispheres, 1/3 scale chairs, pulley wheels. I really want to do some crafting before I hopefully have to double down and study next august.

 

I ordered 5 from Luts in one order last year.

3 were limited, one I just wanted, and the last was effectively free because it was during an event and my order qualified for a 'bonus' My Choice.

... It was just a little bit exciting. Especially when the two huge boxes finally arrived.

(Actually - edited to add... As the order also qualified for two of those cute little Fortune Delfs, you could say it was 7 dolls in one order!)

 

Same here...and I can say they are all impulse buying at best. I bought two dolls in November (Angell Studio's LE Qingyi and Ringdoll LE Kylin) and I have 3 more dolls (Dollclans heads Vezeto, Benkel, Siber and their bodies from ResinSoul) in queue waiting for confirmations from the company, once that is settled, it should conclude for my December buying slot. And I'm setting aside one slot for IOS Grell Sutcliff whenever he's released...

 

I had the pleasure of a buy 2 for the price of 1 special, and came home with two Luts Delf Arwens, of tan and natural skin tone. It was actually really awesome to have two arrive, and they came together, so I could unbox them together and explore them. It was pretty immediate which I gravitated towards, and though the other was not as immediate in fondness, she grew on me quickly.

 

Last week I purchased 2 dolls at once and just got them today. Wow, 2 dolls at once is amazing

 

My biggest was three at once. They were Ipelhouse FID Arvids. I have some OC's that I wanted them for. I always order the twins at the same time no matter what form I get them in, and since these guys were a limited release, i splurged and ordered the third one at the same time. It was my best dolly mail day ever.
I had already been saving in anticipating for the sale, so I was ready for it.

 

I didn't order them at once but I did have three on order at the same time before ever owing one at all! I ordered one in November, one in December and then when I got tired of waiting, I ordered an in stock doll from JunkySpot which I received in less than a week!! Still waiting for the first two and if I could afford it I would order another one or two now!!

 

I paid jo and beth last month, but they wont arrive at the same time, beth is from VolksUSA, jo is from VoksINT... i bought 2 FL bodies couple years ago, and 3 Switch heads... first time for 2 full dolls.

 

I just did this for my birthday, I bought two Volks Yo-SDs one from Yahoo! Japan auctions and one from Mandarake. I could not resist!

 

I have purchased two doll at the same time only once. Both dolls were second hand that I got from Noppin using my birthday money. One was a Dollmore sleepy Pardo girl with extra vampire hands and a partial Manabu Volks boy set.

 

I bought twins, luckily during an event and from a cheaper company, and to be honest, even though it did naturally cost more, it was pretty exciting to get two at once! I would love to order two from different companies at once, I don't know why, just something I'd like to do XD

 

Instead of buying one for my first doll I bought five at the same time. i usually buy at lease three each time.

I've bought two dolls new from the same company before at the same time. Otherwise right now I have five dolls on the way from different sellers... which I bought all at the same time. It was kind of an almost accident that will leave me very poor for a very long time.

I'm sure I'll like them all though anyway. Other than that though, I've never purchased more than two dolls at a time from the same place.

 

I bought my two Mookies at the same time from Through the Magic Door. All her dolls are limited and I couldn't decide between blue skin and lavender grey skin, so I decided to bite the bullet and get both, lol. I had to do a layaway and fortunately she agreed to that! I'm glad I did it, I love them, and it was exciting getting two sisters at the same time! I don't know if I'll ever buy two or more at the same time again, but never say never, lol.
