1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

    1. Nope, once there were two dolls in the order because company had an event at that moment. So one small dolly was given as a gift.

    2. I purchased 2 dolls at once one time (a Pukifee and Littlefee) and another time I got 3 dolls at once (from Doll Leaves), although one was an event doll. I bought the two so I could get the 3rd one free. It's twice the fun and twice the excitement.

    3. Actually I did, a DLD Lian Yin and DLD Mu Jin all from the same official agent/dealer because of massive New Year sales. :|

    4. I did buy 2 dolls from one company with different skin tone and different head sclupt, I just feel that I must purchase them because I like their skin tone and their head sculpt.

    5. Yes, I had ordered 2 dolls at once. In fact, my first BJD purchase was a pair of MSD from Dream of Dolls. Then after 1 or 2 years I got another pair from Soom Gems and another pair in another 1 or 2 years.

      So to the questions:

Q: How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house? (aside from painful on your bank account)

A: Excitement of cos! Will the box be big? When it comes, collect calmly. After the delivery guy is gone, goes crazy. :dance Then didn't know which box to open first. The left one? :?Or the right one?

Q: Did you regret ordering them at once?

      A: Never. I only regretted selling..:doh

    6. With my current financial ability, I can only buy one doll at a time. If I had enough money, I would buy all my favorite dolls at one time

    7. Years ago I bought DZ Mo and Shoyo fullsets together. They ended up being twins. I don't regret it, but it's not something I think I could do again, at least not with resin dolls. Just couldn't afford it.

    8. In the next few hours yes. I'lI be placing another layaway soon while I have 2 more months on current layaway. I kinda hate myself for it. But 15% sale is super tempting :sweat not sure if that counts now rgat I think about it...

    9. I can't really afford it, but even if I did, I wouldn't do it. I have my own rule to have a doll finished (face-up, wig, eyes and at least one outfit) before I even start thinking on the next one.

    10. I buy two dolls at a time when Soom is having a free choice event and I want a doll that was already released in that resin color. Most of the time i persuade mom to take the second doll in the pair to reduce the cost to myself, but when I got my Picro and Luxullia, I got them both for me. Picro head on Luxullia body and vice versa so i could get them both in cream white

    11. I bought two of my MNF together during an event. I've also had multiple layaways going at the same time if that counts... So the answer is YES.

    12. I wish I had the money to buy more than one at once. But at least it is forcing me to be patient, which is not a trait I have ever had. ever.

    13. Yes, I used to buy two dolls at the same time Because the seller sells many dolls and I love two of them. I bought them together

    14. Nope. The closest to it would be buying two dolls close together, but I have yet to buy more than one doll at once.

    15. Yes, I did once. :sweat I bought an MNF girl and an MNF boy from Fairyland for both myself and my sister. The price was hefty, but I felt it was worth it because they dolls looked so beautiful!

We ordered them from Denver Doll, so both of them ended up getting shipped together. They were in their own separate boxes placed into one larger box. When it got to the house, the thing looked huge! XD

I didn't regret it; it was fun opening them both with my sister and getting them all put together.

Not sure if I'd ever do it again, though. Admittedly, these days, I very scarcely purchase a new doll as I'm focusing on getting the ones I have all put together. x3

    16. I'd never buy two new dolls at once. The thought of that price tag makes me want to cry! (I'm not counting event mini dolls - those are free.)

But Yahoo Japan, on the other hand... there are so many cheap Volks dolls that you may as darn well go ham.

    17. Yes! Only once i bought 2 dolls from same seller, omgosh i was so broke for that month! I will never do that again! LOL

    18. I have recently bought two Harucasting dolls at once because I have been wanting them for over a year and he had an event with free sjipping. Apart from that I don't think I would order two dolls at once. I still have two dolls coming in from an order in November but wait times are extended due to covid and I feel like this doesn't really count as "ordering at once" because they will probably arrive next month. So it has been like half a year and I feel like four dolls in a year is a good amount. However I struggle with stopping myself from buying dolls inbetween wait times from secondhand market  I bought one and sold her again because I just bought her for serotonin lol.

    19. I have done this several times. It just depends on the money situation at the time, but if we can swing it and there is more than one that I want that I can't decide on, I will buy both, otherwise I would look at photos and try and decide on one, and maybe buy the second one later etc.

    20. When I was working, but living at home, I had A LOT of disposable income and very little bills to pay. I bought around 3-4 dolls in that time. I bought my first yo-sd and tiny (idk if they were both from the same company or not). The tiny was also my first tan doll and she was so cute/pretty.

Since moving, they're somewhere in my apartment and I can't find them! I was able to find all my other dolls but those two, and they happened to be (at the time) the *smallest* dolls in my collection so that didn't help...

Edit: I also one day really want to buy two of the same doll, with the desire to have 'twin' characters
