1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

    1. No I bought them one at a time

    2. I would if could ;w;
I want a sister for my doll so bad, but i take such a long time to decide becasue i want to make sure I'm spending my money on something I'm head over heels for, so buying two dolls at once I think would overload me XD

    3. If I bought my last two dolls together, I probably would have never bonded with them. It literally took me a year to finally love my msd, my only msd and as for the very last, well, I'm still trying to bond with him, so yeah... The only doll that I bonded with immediately was the first.

    4. Yes, right now my partner and I have a total of three dolls on the way, two on layaway, and two heads on layaway. I never have felt guilty or regretful, but mostly just a little confused; trying to keep up with what payment goes where and whoโ€™s coming in when. But itโ€™s all worth it <3

    5. Not at once but I'm waiting for three and already fell out of love with one so I'll sell him as soon as he comes in, if possible. >.>

    6. I've ordered one and a "half" dolls at once. Ordering the first doll meant I qualified to receive a free event head.
I don't like having floating heads, and he would have gotten his own body at some point anyway, so I ordered a body at the same time for the event head. :)

    7. I've ordered pairs close together at times (Mender and Oracle, my SO Cuprit and SO Heliot, for instance were ordered only a few weeks apart-), and I've had multi-headed limiteds and Specials come in a few times that resulted in the "spare" head not staying spare. (My very first dolls, Harumatsu and Tien Jen, were like that. Jen was NOT supposed to end up being a seperate individual. ) But it was never a pre-meditated thing.

With one of my most recent orders, though, I did set out with the full intention of buying both halves of a particular pair at the same time...

I'm making chibi/kid versions of one of my favorite City of Heroes MMO charcters and her NPC partner. In-game, I've gone to some pretty ludicrous lengths to make Grey Kestrel and Red Cardinal constant companions. They're absolutely inseparable... So I just couldn't imagine having a resin version of one here without the other. Seeing Kes without Cardinal, or Cardinal without Kes would have bothered me a whole lot more than taking a couple of extra months to put aside enough money to order my two LittleFees together.

It's was either both, or neither.
      They insisted.

      They're sometimes demanding creations. <_<

    8. Not at the same time. But I am waiting for 2 tinys and 1 msd right now.

    9. I ordered my Chloe from LUTS the same week I ordered my Christian from Leeke, so they came in fairly close. Chloe came in much earlier because she was in stock, but they still came in fairly close.

    10. I never have. I'm not saying that I never will, but I'd be worried about bonding. Bonding with my dolls is a very major thing to me. I know that for some people it's not, but to me... if I can't bond with my doll, I don't ever seem to enjoy them as much. I don't hold them as much or take many photos of them. Of course, I've always bought my dolls one at a time (when I was buying, which I haven't done since 2009, thanks a lot college :| ) they all came at ~6 month intervals. I didn't plan this, it just happened. And even then, I didn't bond with all three of them. So perhaps there is no relation. *Shrug* Perhaps it's entirely unrelated to how many come at one time and more to do with the search (my first I bought too soon/ settled for a cheaper doll and the third was a limited full set/ impulse buy) and the saving and the waiting, waiting, waiting. I only had that with my second girl, the one I do have an extreme bond with. (I also had to wait an additional 2-3 months to actually have her after she arrived, as the last $100 of her cost was a Christmas gift from my parents. I had to wait until Christmas day to open her, well I got to check her when she arrived to make sure she wasn't broken, I also gave her a kleenex dress so she wouldn't be naked with my whole family watching me open her box! XD ) So I waited a long, long time for her.

    11. Well, since ive been waiting for my Dollshe Bernard for over a year now, technically everything i ordered since may 5th last year qualifies as "at the same time".

    12. How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house? (aside from painful on your bank account)
amazing. totally amazing. I order often more than one doll, because my orders tend to be whimsycal, so it might happen that one doll arrives and one day later or so another one arrives too.
I've ordered together, for instance, doll-chateau bella and colin. they were ment to be twins, so they kinda were born together. their arrival has been a true happy day!

Did you regret ordering them at once?
      nope, never

If you've never... Do you think you ever will?
I'm planning to do it again with a couple of realpukis. why wasting money on a double shipping fee?

What do you think you'd feel like IF you ever did buy two or more at once?
      er... happy? :D

    13. Lol I am so guilty of this it's ridiculous. I actually just ordered my first ever two dolls. I don't own any yet, but after some waiting I will own 2! And I already have some others I know I'll be getting at a much later time.

    14. Yes, I just placed my order for two Fairyland dolls on Winddolls. I just couldn't decide which one I wanted more and if I had enough money I would have ordered 3 at one... I use a two months layaway and really can't wait to get them. I think it will be freakin to get two dolls at once, I'm already debating which one to open first^^

    15. Two times I've ordered 2 dolls at once. The first time it was because they were planned to be brothers who should be together from the first moment, and there was also an event at this company. The second time it was just because of an event.
But also if I order dolls alone at different times, they often arrive the same day or just a few days apart.

    16. yes, although it mostly applies to my Dollfie Dreams, many of which i purchased in pairs simply because it saved me money overall to do so (buying via a proxy service = less fees if you place one large order, instead of multiple small ones over time...)

i ordered two Sugarble dolls a little while ago (the 27cm ones), but my logic was actually along the same lines as the poster above me. one is a vampire, and one is a demon, so i felt like they had some sort of 'connection' and i could write a story about the two of them.

    17. Oh, I ordered three dolls (and a floating head) at once pretty recently. *shakes fist at 5StarDoll's event* I'm pretty excited to have them all arrive. And I'm contemplating doing it again with some PukiPuki's and/or RealPuki's. They're so stinkin' cute! :aheartbea

    18. I've ordered a couple dolls around the same time twice before, but that's because income tax time is awesome for doll buying. XD My first doll was purchased at the same time as another, which is my wife's, as they're meant to be twin brother and sister.

I did just recently order two dolls together for the first time, but it was because I plan to give one to my wife as a Christmas present and was wanting to order one for myself as well.

    19. i almost did this yesterday actually... i had them both in the cart and i desperately want them both, but at the last minute, i removed the one i wanted slightly less than the other. the only reason i chose to buy just one at a time is because i feel like i won't be able to properly focus my attention on either one of them because i'll be so busy ordering for two different dolls. basically i want to be able to let one sink in and dote on her before another one crowds my view as well.

    20. I'll be ordering two dolls at the same time and from the same company after I get my next doll. I realized after getting my first doll that he needed his partner, so I'm getting him next. After that I really want a fantasy doll, but i know how lonely he will be with out his mate so I decided that I would just wait say for both of them and order them at the same time. I don't know if I'll do this with every doll but I only three dolls on my want list right now, so i don't think its that bad.
