1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did you ever buy two or more dolls at once? :o

Sep 8, 2011

1. I haven't ordered two at once from the same company, but I did order my RS Mei and pick up my (secondhand, marketplace) LF Ante within a day of each other. But that was a case of accidentally running into the perfect doll right after I ordered one I knew I could afford. It was only thanks to my partner's credit card that I could get Catkin too. It's nice, though; by the time Danae arrives next week, Catkin will have settled in.

2. I was in the same dilemma, and I bought both XD they are my first dolls and I don't regret buying them both. WebRep

3. I was considering buying two dolls from Souldoll at the same time, because of the free face-up event (woohoo!) and combined shipping is cheaper than buying them separately. I had doubts about buying them at the same time, though, because I didn't want the joy of getting one to overshadow the other, so I decided to spread out the happiness and order one later :)

4. I didn't order them. But I bought 2 dolls and a head from one user on the MP at the same time.

How did it feel like to have two dolls delivered to your house? (aside from painful on your bank account)
It was nice. A little overwhelming since they both had to be restrung right away, and have s-hooks made. But other wise it was nice and I love them. :)

Did you regret ordering them at once?
Nope. It probably would have been more painful to my wallet if I tried to buy them all separately later. Not to mention not being able to find them. xD

5. I saved for a long while so I could get two dolls as joint-firsts.
I have no regrets there, since they were intended to be a couple, and are both still with me after five years. :)

The only killer really was the shocking customs fee that arrived with them.
Very glad I saved a little extra. *_*

6. I bought a complete doll and a body for a floating head at the same time. Does that count? It was kind of like buying two dolls at the same time, because the body and head were united as soon as the package arrived home. I definitely did not regret that purchase.

If I could afford to buy two dolls at the same time, I probably wouldn't regret the purchase.

7. yes. today my DC olivia and DZ feilian arrived; i ordered them from a dealer a quite a few months ago so it made sense to me at the time to order two dolls i wanted at once rather than make two separate orders over time which would be more expensive (since i was able to pay upfront, it was actually cost effective).

really happy with both of them so far, we'll see how it goes!

8. I hope that one day I can afford to actually buy two together!! :) I almost bought unicorn Jodie at the same time as my espree but then got a grip and stopped myself as it was too much to spend in one hit :p

9. i am about to...in just a few hrs as soon as soom gets the stuff up...Lordy! i never thought i'd do something like that i swear, i must be nuts!!!! O_O but i just cannot let the chance pass me. if it wasn't because i really want them and who knows if they'll ever resell them again, i would not do it!!! >_< but i know i will regret it later if i dont...T_T i have the perfect excuse though, christmas and birthday are back to back! :P so now, all my non limited dolls from my wish list are going to have to sit and wait until i can recover from the blow lol!!! because there's no way i would buy them before it unless they were getting discontinued or something LOL!!! XD

10. I personally love twins and could sooooo see myself buying a pair of twins in the future! ;) If I was going to be dropping alot of cash on them I'd probably use layaway if available. I Love layaway! LOL

11. I bought two at once, and they just got here. They're sitting there watching me right now :) I don't regret it at all, since I got them at an event price, and so it would have been a lot more money later if I changed my mind ;)

12. I have mainly due to offer of free shipping either from company saying so on site or the company making offer due to the sheer size of order. When I first got hooked on Dollstown I ordered 4 at same time and then later 3 more. So yes I am a big fan of ordering large numbers when the funds are there.

13. haha yeah I did, I bought my first two together from Crobidoll because I couldn't decide between Yeon-ho and Nia xD I'd been wanting a BJD for about a year but I'd never even seen one in person, so I don't know how great a decision that actually was but I don't regret it at all. I love them both and Crobi is a great company, so I guess it really depends on which dolls you want and where you're getting them from — I'd say it's fine to order multiple dolls from a well-known and trustworthy company, but I'd be more wary of buying a lot from a company I don't know well.

14. At the beginning of the year, when I had more money to spend, I actually had 5 dolls on order at the same time. One in stock from a dealer that arrived within the week and then 4 pre-orders, three of which from AS, but on two seperate orders. This was because a month after I ordered my Midori they released the perfect doll to be Julian, so I ordered him and decided at the same time that I should be efficient and order a second Bella while they still had her (she's limited, I had a fullset and wanted a basic to play around with SO badly!). And at the same time my best friend and I concluded a year of saving up together, so we could both get an FL Ante. It was excellent, I basically got a new doll each month for four months in a row and two in March!Would I do it again? Definitely! It might actually happen soon, since I'm planning to order a KDF Yuz as soon as I receive the money from my recently sold PongPong. Then at the end of Octobre I have my birthday and my family is going to give me doll money, so that will probably bring my savings up enough to be able to buy another full doll before the Yuz even arrives. And my best friend and I have been saving up together again this year and it won't be long before we have enough to buy a BY Amber each! So if that all works out I'll have three dolls on order at the same time, though from different companies and ordered on different days. Big YAY!!

15. I ordered two from Luts but I had initially just ordered a Tiny Delf since they were having the release sale. A few days after that, I mentioned to my parents that for Christmas instead of gifts I asked if they'd just put the money towards another bjd. (KDF Bory)

So, to hopefully get him in time for Christmas I ended up combining the orders.. though, I can't have my KDF officially til Christmas. xP

16. i've bought 2 dolls before, and didn't really bond with them nearly as quickly as when i got my SD...and then i bought 2 more at once again...one for me and one for a friend...

17. While I haven't bought two dolls at once, I finished paying on two layaways at the same time so I opened the dolls on the same day. Honestly, I think it hurt me bonding with both of them.

18. Let's see, my first two dolls came as a set from Dream of Dolls(DoC Si and Bee-a during an event) Then I did orders 2 soom dolls at once(though one of them the parts of one doll were split as I just wanted the body) and then I ordered another set of dolls from DoC. The first time I was the only time I had trouble bonding with one of the dolls was the first time as I had gotten the set because they were being sold for a reduced price and I was planning on selling the girl to make it easier to justify getting the boy I really wanted. I did end up keeping her, until I decided to upgrade to the mature girl body.

19. I've done this several times :P

First time was a Souldoll Philippa + Souldoll Liddell combo. Liddell had just come out and I was in looove. I wanted her so bad. Philippa had a resemblence to a character, so I thought I'd buy them both together and maybe save on shipping.

Second time was a sad one. We had just recieved the news that my father was in the final stages of liver cancer and estimated had maybe 6 months left to live (he only lived for 2). He was my biggest and only supporter. He had life insurance with our bank and they cashed it in for me since I had no money of my own since I was dependant on him and it was going to take a few months before the solicitors would be able to unfreeze the assets. So I had just inherited quite a bit. One of the days when his mind wasn't hazy and I was sitting by his bedside, he said to me "Finish them. I want to see." so I rushed off to get my laptop and sat beside him while I ordered bodies for the floating heads, and organised face-ups for them. Excitedly talking about the characters and explaining why this body was more perfect than the other, and just rambling on. I think in total there were 4 bodies, one whole doll, and alot of misc stuff (wigs, eyes, boots, etc). He passed away before they even arrived.

The more recent one is the Fairyland Chicline event, 4 dolls in that one, but they're like half the size of the dolls I normally get so I classify them as 2 :P I have to get them all at once because it's extremely likely that they're going to be discontinued after this event.

20. not really, as one doll cost a sum of fund *facepalm*
but recently i did, getting a head as well as a full doll, it's a difficult choice, i have been planning to get the head for long, and one of my dream doll just popped up, ok my wallet is screaming no now lol
