1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did you see a doll in person before buying it?

Oct 4, 2017

    1. Nope, so I honestly wasn't sure 100% what to expect :sweat

She's a YOSD size girl and she's heavier than I thought she'd be but I love her :D

    2. When I bought my first doll I lived in New Zealand and they aren't very many people there who collect BJDs, the ones who did lived on the other side of the country so there was just absolutely no way that I would've been able to see one or handle one before I bought one. I know my tastes though, and as a kid I had a few other types of dolls, so I was able to say with certainty and research that I'd love BJDs.

If I'd tried to wait until I'd seen or handled one IRL I still wouldn't have a doll 10 years later xD Even living in Scotland now I'm yet to encounter anyone with dolls outside of the internet, I know there's lots more people who have them here but I know no one. That's one of the good things about BJDs though, you can absolutely enjoy the hobby alone.

    3. Nope. I've seen plastic BJDs, but never resin.

    4. nope! ive seen a couple of older style ventriloquist dolls but thats about as close as i got. i would have if there was an opportunity though

    5. I was able to do that with two of my dolls, one of which I ended up selling. I got my pukipuki at a doll meet up and then the next year I got a Myou Martha (the one I sold). The rest have been just straight from searching online.

    6. No I have never been that lucky :)
All of my doll were baught from international sellers.
      Some new some preloved.
