1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did your FIRST doll come with a faceup?

Dec 16, 2013

    1. My first came with the company faceup. I'm trying to do one with my second doll, who is secondhand, but I loved the company faceup EDIT: on the first one END EDIT so much that I figured, why not go with a sure thing. And when he arrived doll #1 was perfect, so. :)

    2. My first doll came with a company faceup, but I quickly had it wiped and sent to a faceup artist. The original faceup was really nice, but it wasn't quite the look I wanted.

    3. I know I'm talented enough for face-ups but my first kid was purchased from her previous owner so she had factory face-up already anyway, and honestly I think it's too beautiful to change! ;)

    4. My doll came to me with the faceup her previous owner purchased her with. As her faceup is very lovely, I do not have any plans to change it any time soon.

    5. My first doll was a gift and had the company faceup on her.

    6. My first doll did, and ultimately, that's why I sold him about a week later. He just didn't feel 'mine' because I hadn't painted him myself.

    7. i have not yet purchased a doll but i have been looking all over and i know very well i will be purchasing one with a face up because i dont trust myself to try to face up the 1st doll. perhaps i will be mor confident at a later date but for now i know i want a premade face for my 1st.

    8. So far I have only purchased dolls with faceups. I have no talent in that area!! I can see sometime in the future acquiring a blank doll and commissioning a faceup. But, I am still quite a newbie and the idea of sending a doll/head back out into the world after it has arrived safely makes me way too nervous.....

    9. I got my frist one from B&G, back when they only sold on eBay and didn't have a proper website. They sold dolls with complete face-ups, eyes, mohair wig, outfit and pyjamas (and of course the certificate). I guess I got lucky :)

    10. I ordered my first doll with the face up , since I was so afraid to try doing face ups and messing up. ^^; Also it was during an event, so they were offering it free! The company face up was so perfect for my doll's character, so I never wiped it nor do I have plans to.

    11. Yep, I got my first doll with a faceup :) Though it was mainly because it was free, if it costed a whole lot more I might have opted for without just to save some money.

    12. My first doll came with the default face-up. I prefer getting dolls that already have a face-up in general, since I don't do them myself.

    13. My first BJD was secondhand but she has the company face-up. Which I'm happy about, because I really like the company face-up. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving her a face-up myself:lol:. I don't think I'll ever change her face-up too ^^.

    14. I ordered my first doll with default face up because I don't know how to face up yet ......I'm in love with my first doll when I saw his pictures in the company website anyway . I ordered him with face up 12 days ago and I can't wait to see him soon . :D

    15. Absolutely. I was afraid I would hate him if he came blank!

    16. My first had the default face-up, on both the SP head and OE face. Unfortunately, it was old and chipped after a month on both heads, but it was good while it lasted. I really liked it though.

    17. My boy came to me with a company face-up. I was going to wipe it and have a custom face-up done, but I grew to love his company face up to much to let it go!

    18. yes, and I am very glad she did. as a newbie, it was one less thing to worry about.

    19. My first girl was Amy from ipleouse =)
She was a gift for the new year and she was with faceup and outfit =)

    20. It was exactly the same for me ^^ In general, I don't like companies' faceup. I prefer something more personalized !
