1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Did your FIRST doll come with a faceup?

Dec 16, 2013

    1. yeah, my first dolls came with face uos of company, 'cause at that time I'm a newbie and I don't know much about how to either face-up or take care of them.

    2. No, I ordered my doll without a face-up. The company's face-up is very nice, but not to my liking.

    3. Yep I did get a face-up! I was so afraid to do it myself. Still am, in fact, and I have no clue where to start when getting supplies.

    4. I got my first doll second hand, But she came with her default faceup c:

    5. I want to know if you got a face up with your first doll or did you buy them with no makeup?

    6. /facepalm.

    7. Yes, but he's had 2 more since. The third faceup the company did.

    8. The first doll I purchased came with his default face up, but he didn't arrive until after my second purchased doll, which was a body with no head.

    9. Yes she did and I am happy. I could look at it closely to see what I needed to learn.

    10. My first doll came with no face up 'coz I wanted it to be faced up by a girl I know, I want my doll looking like an anime character so... I need him to be customized.

    11. My first 3 dolls will come with a face up:daisy

    12. I just received my first doll today, and yes I ordered her with the company face up. For me it was easier as she is my first.

    13. I've ordered my 1st with faceup so I don't have a blank doll while I get the courage to do her faceup myself. Will probably "enhance" the default once she arrives, though.

    14. I ordered a blank doll cos i wanted to do her face myself. I can't ruin a blank face, I can do a crappy faceup, but then i can just take it off, and try again and again until i have something I like (as it was, my first faceup, while not perfect, is totally tolerable). If I'd have ordered her with her face done, I'd have worried far more about ruining it, because when I eventually had the courage to try and do it myself, that would be what I had to compare to...'is mine better than what she came with', and I imagine at the start, the answer would be no. Right now, I just have to ask 'is it better than last time', and hopefully the answer will generally be yes, so I can carry on practicing and experimenting without worrying that I've wiped away someone else's work and replaced it with something that isn't as good.

    15. My first doll came with a company faceup. :) I was far too afraid to try anything like faceups myself.

    16. My first doll came with a faceup because I didn't know the first thing about faceups or wheer to start research on redoing them. She is soon to be wiped and redone however once I buy a respirator that fits right.

    17. My first njd doll came to me without faceup. I was so exited to try out what can I do myself with the faceup. And because if the doll already had faceup for which I have already paid, I would probably think its a waste of money taking ot off. So my first faceup try was on my first bjd doll =)

    18. My first doll is Ren (Doll Family-H Xiang Yi). I haven't known much about face up when I ordered him from an intermediate dealer in Germany. And I wanted his face up suit to the character which I've designed, so I let an artist do face up for him. It came out quite well! ^^

    19. I got my first doll with artist face up because the Seller was the Artist! My second doll I sent to the the Seller I bought my first doll from! Whew, does that make sense? I love her work but I want to get a pet for my girls that is factory face up and just leave her that way! :daisy

    20. My first doll came with a company faceup because I was afraid I wouldn't bond with her without a face.
