Did your FIRST doll come with a faceup?

Dec 16, 2013

    1. Almost all my dolls come with face up. I may not like original/current face up when the doll arrived. But with face up is better than no face up:)

    2. No he didn't and it's pretty much the only thing I regret when it comes to buying that doll. I think I would recommend to any person who is getting their first doll that they buy a doll with a faceup. Unless they already know exactly who is going to do their faceup and already have all of that lined up. When you are a newbie to all of this trying to figure out where to send your doll for a faceup is pretty daunting. I'm still pretty much a newbie and I still haven't gotten a faceup for my first doll and now I have my second doll which I ordered with no face up. So I guess I haven't learned :XD:.

    3. mine is an Iplehouse Tedros and yes he came with a face up and I am happy about it. I never would have been able to make a face up like this. I love his special style cause this face up he has is perfect for him and there are some on flickr that look so different and not like mine. The face up artists did great work, but mine is perfect for me like he is

    4. My doll did come with a face up. And during the time of actually planning to get one I watched a ton of videos, bought supplies and when she arrived, I don't think the default face up lasted a day. One of the first things I did after looking her over was start to dismantle her and wash her face up off. lol I figured I may as well hit the ground running.

    5. My doll still has his default face up, but I plan to customize it soon! I want to do it myself, so it may be a while until he has a new faceup... I'm currently practicing, and won't dare touch his beautiful face until I know I can 100% do it right XD

    6. Yes, she did! (But within a day I redid it)

    7. Yes, she did :)

    8. Nope, he wont have a company faceup, since I really want to try my hand at doing faceups myself, and the default faceup from the company is certainly not what I had in mind for his character. But no matter how many time I have to re-do his faceup I wont give up until it's at least decent enough to keep :sweat

    9. Yeah, he had a faceup. It's so simple though, I want something more striking eventually.

    10. Nope, I bought actually his head blank on another forum's market, and then his body^^ But a friend of mine promised me she'll do his face up one I'll have him. he kept it about a year, and in march, I redid it. I had time to practice and wanted him to have a face-up on my own.

    11. Yes he did, and I am very happy with it, was exactly what I was hoping for.

    12. Yup :)
I got the face-up for free (event), and it was really pretty *.*

    13. Yup she did. The lines and colouring of her face up back at that time were all hard! But I still love her:) Later she got a pretty face up then~

    14. Nope! My Lati White SP came just as he is....there was no option for a different colour resin, so I knew that I wanted someone to blush his whole body. There was no point in me paying for the service. It took a while for him to get done but I really do prefer him in this colour than the plain white resin. (Besides..the character has red hair, so I doubt they would have done red eyebrows)

    15. My first doll would have came with a faceup but the previous owner my mum adopted the doll from was kind enough to remove the faceup (as windsor and newton is expensive ><), and I want to try out doing a faceup myself this month as practice is always helpful!

    16. I am ordering my first doll with a faceup :)

    17. Mine did. It was a Limhwa Elly. When I ordered it, there wasn't an option not to have a face-up, so I went ahead anyway thinking to have her repainted. The thing is, once she got here, I LOVED the face-up and she has stayed that way ever since.

    18. Nope. I have yet to see a default faceup that suits my tastes. I prefer shading on a heavier side and lots of details.

    19. I was too afraid to do my doll's face-up, so I made sure she came with one. Luckily, I bought her during an event, so her face-up was free! And I like it, so I will keep it. My next doll, though, will probably have a face-up done by me.

Now, my first doll did come with a free 1/12 doll, and she came blank. I used her for face-up practice.

    20. I opted for a face up on my first doll. It helped that the dealer on eBay was adding the face up for free, so i figured why not? A couple weeks after i had gotten her i decided i really didn't like her eyebrows or eyelashes. I removed them and while i was find with the eyebrows i have her, I couldn't for the life of me get the eyelashes in right. So I found a face up artist i liked and of she went. All for better eyelashes, lol. But her new face up fits her so much better that the company default.
