1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

2. Yep she came with a pretty good one too. Its really basic and needs a bit of fixing but I like it. Eventually I will send her to someone (because I don't trust myself to do it) to get it to look perfect or really close to perfect :p she needs her nails done too

3. My first doll (ED Soah) had a the default elfdoll faceup, second (Souldoll Lupinus) also had the default faceup, which was sent to an artist, then that was redone again by me). My third doll (ED Special K) had the default faceup. My fourth doll (RS Ling) was bought secondhand and had an artist faceup on arrival, which has been wiped and redone by me. Faceup removal sucks the big one, so from now on I'll be ordering blank unless its from the secondhand market.

4. kiitomi - yeah the faceup I recieved was muddy, rushed and looked really bad. But according to ringdoll it's just because "faceups always end up different from stock photo" so it's not their fault. :|
However this experience did not stop me from ordering dolls with factory faceup.:wiggle I only have two other dolls(one at home and the other one is yet to be shipped) both of them with default faceup. Spiritdoll's faceup artist did an amazing job with him. And from what I have seen from owner photos of default doll chateau faceups, I'm not worried about the quality of their job.
Thanks for your concern though.

5. My first doll came with a face-up, but then I commissioned a new one from someone.

6. My first doll definitely came with a faceup; most of mine have. I love customizing, but I need to know their personalities first, and I have trouble getting that from a completely blank face.

7. My first was a second hand doll that had a faceup done by a professional doll maker/artist. . so I really, really liked it. The first doll I bought new I just got the factory faceup for - I'd be more than willing to do my own, except. . I am scared I'll ruin something so expensive !

8. I got my first doll with his company face up and my second doll will have her company face-up as well. I am busy with school almost the whole year so I don't have time to practice. In addition to that, buying all the things (sealant, brushes, paint etc) is also quite expensive if you are looking for good quality. And having a doll with a face-up made by myself which I don't even like wouldn't make me happy. So I rather have a beautiful company face-up. Sending the head away is something that I would consider, but my mum won't allow it.

9. I'll probably have to change my avatar at some point as the company faceup I had on my first doll is gone now, and as I'm currently failing big time at giving him a new one, I'm practising like every day on another white skin head I got just for practise. It's time consuming, but I don't see any other way because I want to fall in love all over again. And for that I have to be completely satisfied which is impossible without several more tries... I'm not upset about this, but I want him back sooner or later.

10. I ordered my first doll with no face up, but I bought my ACTUAL first doll used at a doll meet before my blank boy arrived. I think having a face up is nice but not essential, as I love my boys face but I'm still thinking of changing it because if blush scratches.

11. I bought my first doll with a faceup. He was my fist and just the thought of giving my first doll a faceup scared me half to death. I didn't want him to be blank, and I had fallen in love with the company faceup. My fist doll still has his company faceup, but all my other doll have custome faceups done by either artist or myself. It's funny because I want to give him a faceup and yet his company faceup has kind of become him now.

12. I ordered my first doll with a face up, but I regretted it as soon as I got her. It doesn't fit the character I had in mind at all. I love her clothes, shoes, wig, everything is perfect just like I wanted her to look like, but I just hate that her face up is so out of character, I'm even thinking of giving her a new face up myself even if it isn't good, just as long as she looks more closely to what I envision her to be. :pout:

13. My first doll came with a face-up, because I wasn't sure if I could do one myself. It looked pretty bright on promo pictures, but in reality it's light, and i like it very much.

14. I didn't order a faceup from IOS. I wasn't sure if they gave the option but I didn't mind since I had all the materials :)

15. My first doll came to me pre-loved (she's almost nine years old and I'm her third person) with what was probably her original faceup. It was starting to degrade badly, so I finally ended up redoing it. My others all have the default faceup.

16. I did. It was $10, and I didn't have intention of trying to do that on my first doll and risk screwing her up a day after getting her! Haha. I just think if it's not too much of an added expense at the time that you should go for it, because if you really hate it, you just wipe it and get a new one. But if it's $50 and I don't know if I'll like it, I'd rather send them out to get one done, or try it out for myself if I'm brave!

17. Mine did, I of course had to pay for it even if it's not a gorgeous faceup I'd prefer to get because you can bond straight from there box.

To add to that I do want to give a go to do faceups on a future doll ( all mine have gorgeous ones I love )

18. When I get my first doll, I will get her with a company faceup--I don't trust my painting skills enough right now to do something I'd be happy with.

19. Yep! But now I've given her eyeshadow and liner and hopefully will send her off for a faceup soon(ish).

20. Nope! I tend to buy blank dolls because I like to get artist faceups. I am considering buying a company faceup for an upcoming project... But the company in question charges $60 for it, so I'm still on the fence.
