It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Did your FIRST doll come with a faceup?

Dec 16, 2013

    1. My first doll was bought from Junkyspot with the company faceup included. I had him for about a month before it started chipping and I was pretty upset since I actually liked it.

I have since had his faceup redone and I like it even better.

    2. Mine first doll will come with face-up since I ordered full set Dollmore Alexia, but if I don't like how it looks in person I can send her to my friend who is great at face-ups. :) So either way I will have the doll which looks good.

    3. I bought my first girl second hand and blank, but I had a very specific look for her in mind when I bought her. I was lucky enough that an amazing faceup artist was open for commissions (And was even having a small sale!) right when she arrived to me) :) My next (planned) dolls will probably be straight from the company and I really like the company faceups for those particular sculpts so I'll be getting em their default faceups! ^^

    4. Yes, my first doll is coming with a face up.

    5. My first doll had a factory faceup from dollzone, actually it was a full set.
I changed my other dolls but kept his face. I always really liked it.
Nowadays tho I do my own faceup. I have never sent mine out to a face up artist cuz I'm kind of scared? Even though many people do it & have brilliant transactions I'mnervous iI'll be the unlucky one whose got lost or the fua went awol or something. Eek.

    6. My first SD13 boy, CP Girl and Kid Delf all came with face-ups. The first to arrive without was an Elfdoll Soah if I remember correctly, and it was jarring at the time.

    7. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so doing my first doll's face up was not an option for me haha. I really liked how she looked with the face up from Fairyland too. Maybe my next doll...? We'll see.

    8. I purchased her secondhand and the girl I got her from re did her faceup before sending her :)

    9. my doll came nude. I was afraid the factory faceup would stain >_<

    10. My first one (Pipos Minuet) came with a faceup because I really liked the company faceup, and she's even more beautiful in person. I just ordered my second doll, and he will be arriving blank because I intend to shell one of my characters with him so I will be doing the faceup myself.

    11. Yes, my first doll was from volks and she came with her default faceup from volks. She Is a limited edition volks midi msd chloe and i just love her to the max but soon i will be sending her for a new faceup as her old one seems lacking now.

    12. My first doll was a Doll-zone Hid and I really liked that he had his default face-up. That was definitely a selling point for me. I toiled over it for a while before finally deciding that having a doll with a face-up initially is better for me. If fact all three of my dolls have their default face-ups, even though I got them all second hand. I prefer them to come with something already that is nice enough. That way I don't have to wait for them to have a face. However, I do plan on getting their face-ups redone to match their personalities but right now I do not have the money or the patience for sending my head out.

    13. My first BJD will not be coming with a face up. After collecting Pullips I realized I always preferred to have a custom face up. It's bad enough I have to wait for her and send her back out again after I receive her but I know that I wouldn't have bonded with her if she had the factory face up.

    14. My first doll actually did come with a faceup, however I quickly removed it because I didnt like it and not too long ago I put him up for sale... ><

    15. My first doll came with the company's faceup. I really liked the faceup in photos, and I didn't want to ruin my first doll by trying it myself. I would like to start doing faceups eventually, though the thought is still nervewracking. The next dolls I want to get both have company faceups I don't like. So, I'll probably buy them blank, and send them away to a faceup artist.

    16. My first doll came with a face up, i dont think i would have fallen for her as much and as quickly i she didnt come with one.. She would feel incomplete to me

    17. My first doll (and my second, incoming one) came with company faceups! Resinsoul faceups are inexpensive and nice for their price, so I went ahead and sprung for one for my Resinsoul Ya. The Impldoll faceup was a little more expensive, but I fell in love with their YOSD Gela sculpt in company/owner pictures with a faceup of some sort. I have considered sending both to a faceup artist when I get the funds.

    18. My first doll was a Doll In Mind Galahad and I ordered him with a faceup. I didn't feel comfortable with the idea of making one myself!
Now I do all my faceup :p

    19. I won't get my first with a faceup. It's one of the most exciting aspects, I think, to make it on your own.

    20. When I bought my first doll (MNF Rheia) I got her with a faceup. I liked the company one a lot but it was mainly due to the fact that I can't paint anything to save my life, and I was very new to the hobby and I didn't trust anyone with my dolls. I hadn't done a lot of research at that time on faceup artist so I didn't want anything scary to happen to my doll. Now I would totally get her blank and send her off for a custom one!
