1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DIKA Doll discussion

    1. You can order through dealers (for example WindDolls and ThinkPink in Europe, and I think Mint on Card might be the dealer for Dikadoll in the States?) or from jeeryama on eBay
      http://www.dkdoll.com/contacten.asp
Here's a link to contact-info on Dikadoll's homepage. I remember they used to have a message on their homepage to send them the items you want to order to their email if you want to order straight from the company. I can't seem to find that info on their homepage anymore, but I quess it doesn' hurt to ask them. :-)

Dikadoll has amazing dolls~ :3 Which sculpt are you planning to order?

    4. Red_Rose_Seira, Legolas is beautiful! He is so elegant!
LadyNancy, your Autumn is real vampire with this wight skin. My Chi has normal one but people say that he is too pale.

Here is some photo from last paty (pictures done by Nott)

    5. You're very welcome, Red_Rose_Seira!! I love love love! you Legolas! Which sculpt is he? He looks like a Batian to me but he could be Murong too? I love both so much~ Please more pics of your wonderful boy, we don't see that sculpt so often here on DoA I think.

Great pics from LadyNancy and Chukcha2 too! Wow Chukcha2, your boy always gets such nice backgrounds in his photos~ Who's the other doll? :3

Joining in the photospam with pics of my Xavier, Autumn normal white skin and his new style~ :aheartbea

He's a patissier and works in a cake and sweets shop!

Winter in Finland... what is this white cold stuff? Doesn't taste like ice cream. ~.~

      Peace, Love and Tolerance! ^3^

    6. My poor vampire...someone borrowed his body so he is using this one!

    7. This is Leekeworld Adolf head of the Dolmore Model Doll body. He is my first doll and he is the best in my collection. There are three boys and 1/2 of the girl (I have the SG body and await for the head from Dollzone) in it now.
Your Autumn is very handsome and he has very nice eyes. Are you not afraid to put him into snow? It seems to me that the thempereture difference can be not useful for polyutherane.

    8. LadyNancy, Autumn seems a little bit sad, but so gorgeous! And new eyes are so beautiful!

Chukcha, Thank you! I have the same problem with Legolas`s skintone =) He is normal pink, but seems more pale! No pink at once
He has been with me already more then one year and still no yellow pigments. He seems lighter and lighter.
And for your last post...this winter I took Las for a walk and during photo shooting he fell into the snow on his back...everything is alright =)

Molliebean, oooh...he seems so hopeless =(((

NioSpica, thank you! :) Legolas is Murong Style-2 with defautl make-up =)
Ok, I will post new photos with great pleasure here! There are near 4 or 5 Murongs in Russian club
Xavier is by himself as a sweet, but why is he so serious? Does he like his job? ))))

      Especially for you !

I`m very sorry for my bad english :(

    9. Question - what is Normal White skin like? I'm contemplating the Dikadoll 5 jointed body for a hybrid... (I've got a head that's been cast in Dollshe Freshskin, and it's very pale, but definitely flesh-coloured. It's noticeably lighter than Obitsu white)

    10. Dika's normal white is very beautiful, natural skin colour. It's a little yellow, warm coloured compared to many other white dolls. I can try to catch it in a picture for you with my Dollshe fresh skin, if you need.

    11. That would be brilliant! Thank you!

    12. Red_Rose_Seira Wooow~ Thanks for those gorgeus pics of your wonderful Legolas~ I'm in love, hihi! :aheartbea
Especially the last picture, with the gray fur, oooh, he's so dreamy~ x3
I've always loved the Murong sculpt, I'm tempted to get one of my own sometime in the future... Oh, Dika, why do you make such awesome dolls?

(BTW, I think your english is fine :-)

*edit* Yeah, Xav does like his job, believe it or not. x'3 Autumn is such a moody sculpt, he always ends up looking like he's bad tempered. :-DD

    13. Red_Rose_Seira:
I love your Legolas! He is beautiful.
I think when my boy gets his body and a new face up he will be happier!

    14. I have pictures of Dollshe fresh skin and Dikadoll normal white now, but it's so difficult to catch in the photos. In real life the brightness of both white is the same, but Dollshe is a hint more on the yellow side compared to Dika. I'm sure this will be no problem with blushing. I'd also tried my Husky head on the Dika body, worked great with the neck size, but to fix it I'd need a neckpiece or similar since the hole in the Dollshe head is a little larger so the S-hook won't hold the right way.

The picture without flash is quite yellow - that's not what it is in real-life. Both are creamy healthy white, more like the picture with flash. I have bad indoor lights :(

BTW I'm so glad you all share many of your wonderful Dikadolls! I'm very in love with Murong, seeing Legolas really made me happy.

    15. I'm agree with Sadomina. Dikadoll is more pink that Dollshe

    16. Wow, he looks awesome too, I like him a lot~ :3 Thanks for your compliments on Xav.

Oh, I forgot to answer the question about Xav and snow in the last post; the temperature difference is only bad for resin if it goes below minus 10 degrees Celsius (don't know what that is in Fahrenheit, sorry, maybe you can use some converter or something ;-). We had around - 2 degrees Celsius here in Finland at the time I took those photos with Xav in the snow, so it won't harm him, no worries! :3 Also, when you take your doll back inside when you've been out in the cold, leave it to rest and adjust to the warmer temperature for a while, don't move its hands and feet so as not to put strain on the resin.

    17. Oh, you are happy, we had less then -20 degrees Celsius for a month in Moscow this year. That's why I asked about temperature. I put my dolls into warm scarf, then into the bag and very quickly run with them to my car.

    18. Thanks! That's really useful, with face-up I think the match will be great (really unsure I want to do the subtractive neck modding to fit this head on the Dollshe body that I'm not sure I like, the muscle details on the dollshe body are a bit off looking to me)

The head in question is an artist's sculpt, not one of Dollshe's sculpts - so the head/neck system is your standard s-hook set-up (but I do need to add the perpendicular groove in or else lie the hook down flat...)

    19. Not sure if anyone else has tried this, but I finally did...
Those floating shoulder pieces, that are, in theory, supposed to allow the arm to lock in place... They've never worked for me!
Adam, my DikaDoll Autumn, is strung super tight, but there just isn't enough force to make those little notches actually hold anything.

And honestly, they make the shoulders jut out way too far, in my opinion...

So I thought I'd see what would happen if I removed them.

And the results I like much better. Granted, there is no traction at all, and they can't hold poses...
But hot glue sueding fixed that in an instant. :3

      Forgive the bad lighting. xD

    20. SuniMoon: I kind of wondered about removing the pieces too but never had the doll to try it on.His shoulders do look a lot better. :D
