DIKA Doll discussion

I'm here again with my Dikadoll Chi. This photo was done for photo competition at 5th BJD festival in Moscow

 

Two new elf girls for Dika! Such cute girls we have, I really like Dew - yep, sleeping eyes maniac - but Aqua is great too, so gracious and delicate

 

Hi^^ I'd love to see more pictures of the elves, but I cannot get the dikadoll website to open. Can you?

 

I believe that Aqua is a boy but I'm sure one could get him on a girl body if asking nicely ;P I was curious if anyone have any experience of the 62cm Boy Ver.4 body? Pictures would be greatly appreciated as well ^_^

 

I so drool over those two new dollies! But im kinda broke right now after placing an order for a DS IM Hound.
And oh, I was surprised that Aqua is a boy, I so totally thought he's a she with the face-up and all!
I agreed he'd be awesome in a female body.
Question though, I dont seem to notice any difference between the two head sculpt (except for the face-up).
Can anyone tell me their difference? Cant really compare them with the angle and their face-up.

 

Hmm I'd say their noses are different at least. Dew's is a little... well not chubbier but wider (?) and straighter while Aqua's is a little more "uptrurned" *struggling to find the words*. I think there might be some minor differences between their mouths as well but it could be the faceups playing tricks on me.

 

Hmm, on second thought, does anyone have any experience with the new 64 cm body? http://www.acbjd.com/dk-64cm-boy-body-p-3308.html?cPath=44_155 As I gather from the previous posts dikadoll string their dolls quite tight, but how are they posing andquality wise?

One more thing... Can anyone tell me what resin colour would go best with leeke's basic skin?

 

Bortbyting, I have Dikadoll normal skin body and Leeke basic skin head at home. They are really different, Dikadoll is more pink. And Dikadoll white skintone is white as a paper.

 

Thank you Chukcha! I've asked around in several threads but no one has been able to clue me in before,. Hmm, so perhaps normal yellow rather than normal pink from DD is the way to go then?

 

May be. I have seen Dikadoll normal yellow only one time and can't compare it with Leeke. My Leeke head sits at Dollmore normal body and there is no difference in skintone between them.

 

*nods* I was hoping on getting a pair of jointed hands for my Mihael so if the resinmatch isn't perfect at least it isn't a huge blushing job. Thank you so much for your help! ^^

 

QIONG LOU'S HEAD JUST ARRIVED.
Sorry for the caps lock but I'm so happy right now! It took more than two months to wait for him but now I have him and I'm happy! I only have to find him a good body and then he'll be happy too

@Dulcimea Wow! Is that Dikadoll's default face-up? That's just beautiful! (I am contemplating if i should get a default face-up from Dikadoll).

 

WOW!!!!!! He looks amazing, the faceup and sculpt is gorgeous! Congrats on your wonderful Qiong Lou! I hope you will soon have a body for him!

 

Dulcimea - He's awesome, I love the face-up! I'm also hoping that you get his body soon so we can see pics of him. :3

ElvenMoonBlood16 - I highly recommend Dikadoll's default face-ups, they are really skillfully done. I for one love them. ^^

Oya! I just started trying to be active on this forum, and I found the Dika thread! Yay!

I have a Dikadoll Molin; my first and only doll, and I just love him. >w< Fell in love with Dika after my friend bought two (well, one and a half, really) of their dolls. They're the reason I'm hooked on BJDs.

Now I want the new Bai Xuan so badly. >_> Can't decide between human and vampire version, though... it will be quite a while before I have the money for him, anyway (sad to pass up the summer sale, ah well).

 

I'm considering ordering DikaDoll Baixuan, where does everyone get clothing for the 73 cm boys? Any suggestions on what fits? How about shoes? How long is their wait times for pre orders? I'm also trying to decide which of the event gifts to choose, so many options!

 

Suzunachi, on the site that I use, Alice's Collections, there's a drop down menu for all available sizes of a piece of clothing. So you can just look if they have the 70cm size. I would say just don't try to put him in normal SD clothing; shirts might fit, but my friend has an 70cm, and SD pants are too small on him. I think the same goes for shoes? There should be 70cm-specific shoes, though you could also just look at his foot measurements and see if he'd fit SD shoes.

My Dikadoll took about three months to arrive as a preorder, also during an event.

I would get the jointed hands, if I was you. >w< I have Dika jointed hands, and I just love them.

 

Fantastic, thank you Then I'll definitely go with the jointed hands! They certainly look lovely. How easy are they to put on? I've never had jointed hands, I don't know quite how they go on compared to regular ones. ><
