1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DIKA Doll discussion

    1. Thank you so much for the advice! :) I'll just use some masking tape/plastic bags to bind up the loose elastic while I'm spraying MSC after I get the arms off - Wu was strung with some incredibly thick elastic, it's a real challenge to get anything loose! When I took his foot off, the elastic didn't immediately snap up through his leg like it does with my Hound.

    2. Hey all, couple of questions --

Anyone have a 70cm XueHua? I'd love to see him, blank or faceup-ed, straight-on and all angles.

Anyone care to comment on the 70cm 3-piece torso posability? And the posability of the doll overall?

      Thanks!

    3. Anyone know if the 70cm heads will fit on the 65cm (1/3 scale) boy bodies?

    4. @Rabbit-moon you have him too? Pictures anywhere??? I have never seen another one! I love his little teeth too!

    5. Hi Molliebean! Yes, I have a Vampire Ruber in normal yellow. But, Im a bad owner. I love this guy, but I've only taken one picture of him. I still need to get him a body.

He borrowed a DollFamily-A 63cm boy body in this picture. Just a note: The resin match was not good. HappyHouse warned me that DollFamily's resin colors can vary from batch to batch. This body came out a dark yellow. Dikadoll resin is lighter, and actually closer to Volks normal.

    6. I'm interested in pictures of XueHua and Warren. Hoping some will come along... :3

    7. Maple Squad XueHua, I can provide :3

Here is my new boy's box opening thread or you could visit my flickr to see more pictures of him.

I must say, I love the 3-part torso's "clicking" posing system. Haven't played with it too much yet, but it shows wonderful potential.

Even though he lacks a faceup (soon! He's shipping out next week for one), I love XueHua's face, especially his profile.

    8. Ooh, thank you so much, mikasomah!

I saw his pictures in the links you posted, and he looks super poseable. :D
The clicking joint torso is interesting too. Is he really heavy?

    9. Not a problem ;) I like sharing my dollies.

He is quite amusing to pose, and doesn't have the tendency to fall into 'girly' poses - my friend's AOD body does this all the time and it bothers me so!

The clicking is wonderful! Each piece has a few "clicks" forward and backwards, giving him a lovely range of motion. And to attest to their balance, I was showing my mother, and clicked him all the way over into a bowing position, both pieces clicked as far as they would go, and he stood like a rock with no supports. I was thoroughly impressed, and I'm disappointed in myself for not snapping a picture.

I cannot even fathom the 5 piece torso. I can't decide if it would make for heavenly posing, or if it would be too much of a good thing and wonk out the posability.

As for how heavy he is - he definitely has some weight to him. He is no where near EID level, but he's pretty solid. I'd guess he's about 3-4 pounds? Don't hold me to that, I'm really bad at guessing weights. XD

    10. I'm very new to dolls and ordered my first doll from dika doll. (rabbit girl). Now i'm wondering if someone bought her and can show me some pictures of her with a custom face-up and maybe with different hair (not the pink one). I hope i can ask all my questions i have :) Does someone know if dollmore's dresses etc. fits the dika doll body (60 cm) + head? And what eye size do i need for her? I'm just very confused about the size i need for shoes, outfits, eyes and wigs.

I have already seen this entry about her http://angeldolls.co.uk/blog/?p=750 and this was one of the reason why i decided to buy her :)

    11. So, I saw the Monika mold today and I'm sorely, sorely tempted! Does anyone else have this gorgeous girl? Any tips/critiques of the 1/4 size dikadoll bodies?

    12. This thread is so quiet! D:

But hopefully, someone can answer this question - what size eyes do your 73cm boys have? My Xue Hua came with beautiful 16mm blue eyes, but there are obvious gaps at the sides of his eyes where the whites don't reach...Anyone else have this problem?

    13. I have another question. I received my first doll from dikadoll but i do not know how to change the hands, feet and eyes. Is there a instruction? I have the 60 cm rabbit girl.

    14. Hey, vervain. I'd be happy to help you, but I worry about going off-topic. DoA has tutorials on how to change the limbs, as well as replacing eyes. Just use the Search feature up top. If you still have problems, feel free to send me a Private Message and I will help you as best I can. :) And congratulations on your rabbit girl!

    15. hello dear, do you mean the eye socket is long and narrow?

    16. Oh, thank you for posting him Rabbit-moon!!! He is gorgeous! Can't tell too much about his body in the pic, so he looks good to me!

    17. It's very long width wise, not narrow like the Zura sculpt. I've decided to get some custom Captured in Glass eyes, with 18mm size whites and 16mm size irises. Hopefully they work better. :)

    18. Has anyone here seen the latest 70cm Dikadoll sculpt? He's called "Summer." I fell head over heels in love when I stumbled across him over Labor Day weekend -- the new sculpt was released September 1. I decided this guy will make the perfect mate for the girl doll I ordered earlier. So, I'm on another waiting list now, and the order won't go out until the end of the month. Sigh! Anyway, if you want to see a quiet, attractive male that your girls will fight over, check him out! Link text.

    19. Lsesstudio - I know what you mean! I have been eyeing the Autumn sculpt since they have been released with much contemplation. Love the photo set style for these guys too. :3

    20. Thank you so much for posting this!! I was also having trouble until I read your post. =)
