1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

DIKADOLL Jointed Hands Discussion

Aug 6, 2009

    1. Mine arrived a few days ago and they are a really good match with Doll Family normal skin yellow (shown here on my SilentEcho Jian/Doll Family hybrid). Also a good match with older minimee normal skin! :D

Sooo delicate though! I'm terrified of breaking them!

    2. They look awesome. :)

    3. oh man...these are so cool. Looks like I have some saving up to do!

    4. Nanyalin>> Sorry to hear that. D: Will they help you replace it or refund some of the cost?

    5. I am going to communicate with Catas as soon as I can; she has been very gentle with me all the time, and I must say that her attention was really good, despite the slow delivery, that I guess she was not responsible of. I will tell you the news as soon as I have them; other than this, i must say that the hands are very well done, and they are lovely and soft; I am happy that it starts to be more options about this matter for differently colored dolls!

    6. Nanyalin>> Oh, that's good to hear, then. :3 Hope it's resolved nicely!! ^^

    7. These hands look great, I'm planning to get girl hands and the new 70cm boy hands soon. Has anyone got their girl hands yet?

    8. Got a pair of white resin girl hands with long fingernails today, and here is the report (I'll add pictures later if they are requested):

Overall they work well compared to Sooms jointed hands (although I would say that Sooms are slightly better), but are less detailed. The fingers could probably be more sculpted, but they are small, so there is very little to work on. I would have preferred the hands to be somewhat larger. The nails are very well done and looks better in real life than in the photos (at least that is my view)
It would help a lot if there where more axact measurements available, especially on the wrist joint.

Soom SuperGem (Beryl): The white resin matching is not perfect (but I had intended to blush them anyway), unfortunatly they do not work well with her, they are too small, both wrist ball and lenght, and the placement of the hooking mechanism does not work well with Sooms design. Even with silicone kips they did not look or perform as I wanted.

Domuya Flexi Perrenial: Could not get it to work with Domuyas mechanism (as it is, the hooks get stuck in the wrist and makes the hands hang loose), they also look to be to small to fit these dolls.

Luts S Delf: This is the only doll where the hands work for me, they still required silicone kips between the balljoint and wrist to work well, but the size is good (altough it would not hurt if the hand was a tad larger, as I said before).

My guess is that they will work better on more normal SD dolls, and I will get back if I get the opertunity to test them on such.

So lets hope that they make some beautyful hands for the larger girls next time.

    9. Thank you for the info, this means I'm going to get the 60cm boy hands for my cuprit, instead of the girl hands. :) This helped a lot!

    10. Well, I ended up ordering the female hands, the male hands and the 70 cm male hands in white, normal pink and normal yellow on eBay. These hands look so interesting and delicate. I can't wait how they look in real life.

    11. Some measurements for the female hand:
Overall length (including ball joint, excluding nails): 60mm
(joint 10mm, palm 22mm and long finger 28mm)
Ball joint: Oval shape 14.5mmx16mm, depth 10mm, circumference 50mm
      Width of hand: 27mm

Hope this is of some help.

    12. I'm very interested in getting a pair of these hands. Now that they've started to spread, does anyone know how the white hands fit a white delf? The male ones.

    13. im dying to know if any of them will match Dollmore NS resin (the WS is out if theyre not pure white). i would bet on the NY before the pink...i want to order some but im afraid of the size too! i wonder if the girl hands would be a better fit...

    14. I posted a pic on the page before this one. They fit well, though the hands are a little more pink. It's not too noticeable though!

    15. Well boo, I bought some girl ones for my Amber but I suppose they probably won't work. :< At least I can try the boy ones on her (even though the ones I bought are NS) to see the scale, then buy her a pair of those if they seem like they'll work. Though considering my Amber usually wears long sleeves and you don't see her wrists anyway they should hopefully do till I can get her some bigger ones. ^^

    16. I would like to know how well the normal male hands work on Soom's female supergem, so I look forward to your test onnawufei.
Is there nobody else out there who can make the match?
(I would like to know if I should order the male hands or not ASP).

    17. I am considering getting a pair of hands for a Senior Delf boy, but am confused as to what colour would be best to try. I could swear that on the Dika Doll thread it says the Normal-pink, but I would have thought that given the yellow tint to the Luts Real Skin, that the Normal-yellow would be a more suited match. Can anyone clear this up for me, and possibly let me know how well the scale works for a Senior Delf boy?

    18. I think normal delfs and senior delfs are cast in different shades of resin. At least they're manufactured in different ways as far as I know, which is why the senior delfs are rarely sold in white. That might be where the confusion is coming from. I need to know this, too, though, since I'm planning on getting them for my SSDF Abadon.

    19. Anyone has any idea which skin color would suit normal skin Buddy Doll Raphael? (:

    20. I am interested in the normal pink. Has anyone been able to compare this color to a ResinSoul NS doll? Or is there a resin already compared that is very close to ResinSoul's?

      Thanks in advance. : )
