DiM (Doll in Mind) Mini Discussion Part 6

ive come to lurk in this thread since i got a flowne, larina and the other head whose name escapes my memory that he offered up recently-ish. now they need, well everything. XD but mostly bodies. i have some bodies that will work for now but wont match resin wise thats for sure

I've got my Larina on a Luts v.1 girl body in ws. She's normal, so I had to blush her to match. I'm very happy with that body, and recommend it highly. Her neck fits perfectly, and the proportions are good. The legs are single jointed, but have mobility thighs. It's a younger body, almost flat-chested, which I wanted for her.

I'm getting a Dream Valley body in their normal pink for my Flowne. I'm hoping that will work out well. I'll try to get my image hosting situation sorted out and post some pictures of them both when the DV arrives.

 

I'd love to see the Dream Valley. I ended up ordering 2 Doll Leaves bodies for my Laia and Flowne. I'm undecided on what to do with Larina (I had vague character ideas on the other two heads but figured I should just get Larina anyways). Might go with a male body.

I wonder if Luts NS matches DIM NS.

 

I'm sorry I can't share a picture but I have a Luts NS head and a DIM doll in NS. They aren't the worst match but it's noticeable. Luts is more of a yellow tone compared to DIM.

Got the Dream Valley body secondhand today in normal pink. I think this one is a couple of years old. It is slightly darker and more yellow than DIM NS, maybe an 85-90% match? Close enough that a sealed layer of pastel will probably be enough to match it. The neck on the Flowne head gapes slightly, but I really like the proportions and am very happy with the poseability of the body.

 

I've just had a shipping update saying my Larina head is prepared for delivery, fingers crossed that means I'll get it today

 

My Larina head has arrived safe and sound!
I'll sort out eyes and hair tomorrow and then start looking at getting a body.
I think I leaning towards an Myou body - does anyone know is normal or normal pink would be a better match?

 

Urm so, I think Denny gave me TheSecretRoman's tracking number Cause mine haven't arrived, but the tracking says it was delivered yesterday, and in Wales Really hope I do have a tracking number and they've been shipped

 

Ah yeah that might be mine - mine arrived Monday afternoon though, if that's what the tracking is saying?

He did the same thing to me when I ordered a body from him a few years ago, if you just send him an email letting him know he'll find the right one for you!

 

Oh, this was saying Tuesday and there were a few attempted deliveries. Well hopefully it is the wrong tracking number and not a wrong address situation.

So it sounds like the tracking number was mine, but was shipped to someone else, unless I'm not reading Denny's email right. He said "I am so sorry that it seems I made a mistake. I might shipped to someone else to other country." and that he will ship mine out next week.

If that's the case, and the person is keeping them, that's really upsetting especially since Denny did this as a favour to people who loved the sculpts.

 

I hope it's just a language barrier thing, and what he means is he accidentally told you somebody else's tracking number/gave you a shipping notice meant for someone else! I don't think he could magic up some new heads in one single week to make up for losing yours, so I think/hope it's just a mix-up.

That said, if you think it's gone down this way for sure though, I encourage you to post in the missing and stolen doll thead! Because, if true... it is indeed theft.

Yeah, I asked to make sure since I ordered an Ace head as well. It's possible that there were spare Laia's since he might have had enough to do a few more and they were kept in case of any issues. Hoping it's just a language barrier thing but since he said mine will ship next week it sounds like he's reshipping.

I've asked for clarification though. Hopefully it is just a language barrier and he thought he'd shipped them but hadn't.

 

Denny confirmed that he shipped my order to the wrong address. I wonder if this person will be honest. I think I know who it is (not someone in here) so I'm trying to contact them.

I'm just glad I didn't manage to get a Group Order going now, as someone else would have had all the heads

 

That’s very upsetting I really hope the person who got your shipment does the right thing and you get your dolls
